You can walk on the same stone steps as Roman citizens did 1600 years ago. It's an amazing thing that this bath still functions. With a new roof this could be reconstructed to a working bath, it's in such good relative condition for an ancient structure.

So much interesting information! You probably won't have time to listen to everything on the audio guide. My husband and I listened to almost everything in the museum part and by the time we were actually next to the baths, we couldn't listen much more! Such great history and storytelling. There was quite a bit for children too!

This place is amazing. It's so rich in history and artifacts from the original baths and temple! The museum is large, immersive and so amazingly arranged. I thought it was going to be a quick in and out but this definitely took 2hours to do. This might be mostly be in part because it was crowded so it took a bit to see some things. The baths are large and the audio tour is so informative. Definitely worth a visit.

If you like Roman history and architecture you definitely have to visit this place! There is a lot to see, so you will need at least two hours to enjoy the tour. The ticket includes an audioguide in twelve languages but you can decide when to stop and what information do you want to hear.

Well kept, lovely bit of history, right in the center of Bath. You could fly round it in an hour, if you just want a quick taste of history, or sink a few hours in, if you listen to all the audio guides. Nice little shop and cafe to end.

Steeped in Roman and pre-roman history, lots of exhibits besides the main bath pool. I'd forgotten how many separate ancient spa pools and other areas there were there. Very busy on day I was there, free audio headsets describe the various areas as you wind your way through a labyrinth of spaces. No 1 visitor attraction in Bath, don't miss it. Allow at least 2 hours.

Pre booked tickets. Asked if we needed the toilet then watched as others who had queued behind were ushered past. Made to stand outside in torrential rain with the whole group in our time slot while the staff made a huge hash of the social distancing. They basically had let on too many people than the site can cope with.

One of the best tours we did in Britain. So incredibly well done, we really loved the audio guides as well as the free tours and abundant signs everywhere. They have really done a great job here and if you enjoy Roman history this is a must do.

Brilliant experience. Had a wonderful two hours here.

They have really created some interesting experiences which add to the thermal baths. I loved the ice room. Definitely worth a visit. The scents, lights etc are a nice touch in the steam rooms.

The 'current' in the indoor pool was a nice feature. Very relaxing to float around.

Some renovations are needed - the first 3 lockers I tried were broken & signage is very poor, which took away some of the time I had paid for at the start of the visit. (You need to go upstairs to change, then down to the very bottom floor to shower then up to the very top for the thermal bath - it's a bit of a slow process to get started, especially with all the broken lockers.)

Yeah I'd give this a five! I love the tour of the baths, the museum, the pools, the exhibits... all of it. It's fun to close your eyes and try to visualise how it must have been for the Romans, and even for people in the Jane Austen era where the baths were seen as a place of restoration and health. It's intriguing to see the underwater heating for the various different rooms and chambers.

Wow, this wasn't on our list of places to go but I wish it had been! We were able to spend just a few hours here but I wish I could have spent days. We are definitely coming back at some point.

Brilliant. Great for kids and adults alike. Loads of stories about Roman history and exhibits that really bring things to life. Particularly liked tasting the hot spring and seeing how the complex would have looked in Roman times. Good set of audio guides that were very clear and you could dip in and out of as you fancy. Can be crowded due to popularity, but really worth the trip.

A beautiful historic location. A must go place when you're in Bath. There is an entrance fee but the free audio guide and the comprehensiveness of the site (it's more than just one bath) makes the visit to this site worth every penny.

If you want to actually learn about the history behind the place and listen to each section of the audio guide, be prepared to spend more than 1 hour here.

There are also free guided tours at the roman Bath every hour so if you wish to listen to an actual guide rather than an audio guide, you can take note of that!

Great place lots of history. It is a little pricey but remember when you are buying your ticket you are also helping them to preserve the history. Well worth the visit if you are in Bath. Also remember to drink the water at the end.

An absolutely fascinating preservation of Roman era hot baths. If you are at all interested in history, this museum is worth the time to see. The tour is self guided, and takes you through many facets of Roman life. It is a great way to spend a few hours, and you even get an opportunity to taste the hot spring waters! It is said to provide vitality, strength, and a myriad of other benefits to those who drink enough. 100% recommend to any history nerd.

Definitely doesn't worth the price. Small place, you just walk around and read the notes. One big pool and a couple of small rooms. Totally overpriced, otherwise, if you have an hour to spend, you can go. Also, it is a beautiful city. Recommend.

A great experience. If you have kids they'll lock up your stroller (which you're not allowed to bring in) and they provide baby carriers for smaller babies and backpack carriers toddlers which was very nice.

Toooo many people, waiting at distance for ages to move through areas, felt pressured to move on because of queue of people behind you, knowbody wearing masks in confined spaces. Lots of areas closed off but no discount on tickets.

This historic and unique place is a must-go destination in Bath which is its curse as well as its virtue.
Using modern speaker phones with numbered panels gives a selective tour which caters for know-it-all-normans, cruising-craigs and posing-pams alike.
However the clear route is impeded by the sheer number of path-blocking, selfie-taking tourists which makes for a stressful and claustrophobic experience.
Try to find a quiet time - not Saturday midday like us!

Well worth a visit. Do buy your tickets online the day before to save 10% and avoid queuing on the day. There's far more to see than expected and the audio guide and display panels are interesting. The audio guide is available in various languages and a children's guide as also available.

worth the wait most definitely! pointless leaving a review if dont have the patience to actually get inside - dont listen to the culturally deprived, if you are seriously keen to see something of historical interest then id highly recommend a trip - if you dont have an ounce of patience then id stay put in front of the telly or go when the weather is crap! the atmosphere here is phenomenal.
