Clean and resource filled hotel. Parking was a bit of a squeeze but we all fit in. Features could be signposted inside a little better but this may have been due to me using the back entrance.

The Riviera is located in a good position. It is very clean and my room was spotless. The reception staff gave a warm welcome. Mostly saw the restaurant staff as we were on a weekend stay, who are all amazing! So polite and nothing too much trouble. Food is delicious and cooked well with good presentation. A wonderful weekend. Hope to stay again.

Overall was pleased with our stay. All staff were helpful and polite. Some parts starting to look a little tired but nothing major. More importantly Room was clean and bed was comfy. We had a lovely balcony with a sea view which was unexpected so that was great. Breakfast was very nice too.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and we enjoyed our stay. The room was a bit small for a double rather shabby and outdated but it was clean and comfortable the food was good and the staff were very nice and helpful.

Fantastic Hotel, very clean, brilliant facilities - pool & jacuzzi, breakfast service, bar with ping pong and pool. We accidentally booked the wrong dates and didn't realise upon check in, but the friendly man on reception sorted this out for us which was a huge relief, he also put us into a room with a balcony as my partner suffers with asthma, we had a sea view which was lovely. The room had a bath which was a wonderful surprise too, we had towels, tea facilities and a hairdryer which was perfect. The hotel was a walking distance into the town with restaurants and bars and the taxi services were very reasonable. The hotel was just a few minutes walk to the beach which was just beautiful. White soft sand and turquoise water, so serene, we had a perfect stay, the trip was one to remember, thank you so much, Louise

Good family and dog friendly hotel with a comprehensive set of menu options in both the bar and restaurant. Family rooms are tight. Games are available and a younger child play area which is ideal. A 5 minute walk to Alum Chine (with a great Italian restaurant) means the beach is on your doorstep and we paid for a room with a sea view and Isle of Wight view. Lovely.

I chose this amazing Hotel for my wedding and was not disappointed from the start to the finish. Lauren was amazing , she could not have been any more helpful on the planning stage or on the day.everything they promised they delivered and the Afternoon Tea was a hit with all the guests several of guests stayed at the Hotel overnight and we were lucky to have a lovely room . So much character and clean. We had a lovely view of the sea from the wedding room and our bedroom. There are a lot of hotels that promise so much and never deliver bit this little gem was so the best choice. I can't thank all the staff enough and will be writing to thank you when I return from my honeymoon

Overall, a good choice near Bournemouth beach. The property also has an indoor pool and were it not for Covid19, spa services. The virus made our stay a little strange as services were curtailed, menus simplified and pool visits put on a reservation system. The beach also wasn't as crowded as usual, which was nice. Rooms are not serviced daily. The building is showing its age, but in decent repair. Our room was a bit dark although of a good size. The bathroom had a bathtub but otherwise was very basic with a linoleum floor. Breakfast and dinner were fine and pretty standard for outside London. Room prices were reasonable.

Having looked forward to a relaxing break we had booked an apartment and a room at he hotel, we found the levels of service inadequate . However, room maid service and linen/towel changes were not available for the apartment even though no reduction in the daily rate is given. Reception staff were unhelpful and unsympathetic when we indicated that our our towels were soiled as we were unaware of these rules. The staff need to realise that the guest/customer is the most important person in the business without whom they would not be in employment. Re-training is badly required for all the staff in looking after guests in a courteous, helpful, and genuinely sincere manner.

We just stayed for 2 nights in a family room and were very impressed with the hotel. The room was a good size and very clean, the breakfast was lovely and the pool and jacuzzi were a real treat. The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food in the Bar & Grill restaurant was delicious and the service was very good. We enjoyed the evening entertainment too.

Staff Christmas party tonight and I must congratulate the Riviera on delivering a superb evening. The table was decorated beautifully, the food was delicious and the wine good. I've been to many mass Christmas parties over the years and this was the best in friendliness, customer service, quality and value. Thank you so much.

Absolutely shocking!! Radiators not working, shower freezing cold , unable to eat because the restaurant is booked out? Eat in the bar they said where there was live.music and couldn't even heat yourself think. Had two apartments no change of towels no renewing of toilet roll this place is a joke massively disappointed in the quality of service never again will we stay here. Spa doesn't even have a sauna or steam room you have to walk what seem like miles to get to it up.and down stairs etc. Management should take a good look at what they're doing or trying to achieve, very very poor!

3 stars for a 3 star hotel seems fair. Very good food, lots of facilities to make the most of in a great location and the price wasn't bad either!
We stayed in "the apartments" building out the back of the hotel which could do with a little sprucing up and modernizing but otherwise very happy after our stay

Fine, clean apartments but quite expensive for what you get and a bit dated. Great location just few minutes walk to the beach and still walking distance from Westbourne. Parking can be tricky.

Excellent value and comfort levels. Really excellent hotel, for a few pounds more such a leap in quality, comfort and service levels than its near competitors. WiFi really fast, breakfast excellent. Should have a much higher review score.

Had an awful checkout experience today (July 14 2019) after our one night stay as a family because 2 disrespectful staff at the reception.

2 staff at the reception were extremely disrespectful about it & tried to just force me to pay the full amount, claiming we have "damaged" the linens. Then a third staff member came and explained very nicely (like you should do with a customer) and told us we wouldn't have to pay if we still don't want to but assured me that money isn't going to go in their own pockets. We accepted to pay at that point, where the 3rd member was almost going to offer some reduction on the charge, only to be silenced by one of the other staff who said "it's ok it's ok"

Other than this experience, I can summarise as not the cheapest hotel of this standard but a nice clean one with good food.

No wifi in the rooms only in reception area

No wifi in the rooms only in reception area

Will offer you the world when booking a room but will not deliver and when you make a complaint the response you get is "them rooms are for people who paid more money"!

Rude staff

Person who deals with the emails when arising an issue is obnoxious and rude

For the money there are better places then this.

Avoid at all costs ruined our 2 night break!

I've stayed here a few times now and always delivers a comfortable and relaxing stay.

The staff here are very friendly and helpful. The building its self is kept very well as are the rooms.

I was fortunate enough to have a room with a balcony this time and it was nothing short of stunning with a sea view.

Lovely stay, used pool, gym and hot tub. Evening meal was wonderfully presented and tasted great. Made to feel special but waiting staff. Lovely view, room a bit small and you hear everything from corridors.

How you can call this a spa is beyond me. It's a hotel where I had a massage. The ladies doing the treatment were lovely but that's all I have positive to say. The hotel staff, especially the receptionist, were shocking. Grumpy, unapproachable. Considering this is a 'spa' you have a side room to sit in and use of a basic pool and jacuzzi. Compared to other spas I've been to, I was rather shocked.
The bar was lovely, the two guys on the bar were fab. Easily confused but laughed about it.
