We'd had some issue with our booking prior to our stay which meant we would have had to stay elsewhere, but the hotel rectified the issue and provided a good experience.

Staff were friendly and very helpful. We liked our room, which was very clean and had a view of the sea. The breakfast was lovely and we enjoyed spending time with extended family and friends in the hotel's communal areas. The only thing lacking was air conditioning in the rooms; because the weather was great the room was quite hot. However, a decent fan is helpfully provided as standard. Another suggestion would be to upgrade the shower heads for improved pressure and more narrow coverage.

All in all we enjoyed our stay and we would stay again.

We have stayed at this Hotel on many occasions during the past few years and had booked a short break from our busy hectic lives, just before the latest 'lockdown' in early December. Alex, the Reception Manager, gave us a call to advise us that unfortunately the Hotel was in fact 'closed', with the opportunity to cancel if we wished, or we could stay in one of their apartments. We took advantage of this offer, which included breakfast and evening meals, cooked by their Chef and delivered to us in the apartment. The breakfast, as always, was very well cooked and the evening meals were absolutely delicious, tailored exactly to our specific requests. Thank you so much for a very relaxing time during these really difficult times. We will be back. Kindest regards Kathy & Paul x

Nice hotel, very helpful staff. Good family rooms and restaurants. Very close the the beach. Good spa and pools. Games area for children and evening entertainment. Overall a very nice and relaxing hotel. I would recommend it for everyone. My wife loves it and has stayed there 3 times this year with the kids.

The worst experience I have ever had. Me and my partner reguarly have a weenend trip and never raised any complaints to any hotels and BnBs we stayed in the past. Not mention a single argument. This is the 6th time we come to Bournmouth for a weekend and I decide to give this hotel a try. However, this is the worst decision I have made. The lady who is managing the Spa and Massage service is very unprofessional and I have to say even creepy. Called me 11 times within two hours when I was stuck in the traffic on the motorway and was using my mobile as GPS. She called me again (2 times on the mobile and once to the room) when we just checked in and hasn't settled down yet. When I had enough and went to the reception (the girls at the frontdesk are farily friendly and professional) , a guy (he said he is the general manager)who bumped into our conversation was extremely rude, arrogant and cold. He didnt bother to offer any help but only saying the massage lady just rents a room from the hotel and is separated from the hotel. He even asked me why not block her number in an irritating way. Astonishing customer service from this manger. Totally ruined our weekend. Never come again and not recommended.

Quaint, very British holiday hotel and apartments. The restaurant is very good, there are events on during busy periods and the location (couple of miles outside Bournemouth) is great. For short breaks this place is great, though the small size of the rooms might be an issue if you do plan to go away for a longer period of time

Positives: Room has a lovely sea view and small balcony, hotel is only short walk from the beach, friendly staff, room decorated to an okay standard and very clean.

Cons: Room extremely hot and strange aroma when first entered the room, wasnt unpleasant but was an industrial type smell I suspect cleaning product.

Bathroom very hot as there are skylights and direct sunlight heats up the bathroom and bedroom, fan is provided in the wardrobe as there is no A.C.

The floor makes a lot of noise, but this hotel is very pleasant and happy I booked it but wasn't worth the money as we booked in peak season, all prices in poole seem to be over inflated.

Stayed here as a family of 4 with 2 young children. We had a pleasant stay, clean and spacious apartment with basic facilities. We loved the pool and jacuzzi. Very close to Alum chine beach and a short walk to Bournemouth Pier. If I had to be critical I would say the decor is a bit dated but overall I would definitely stay again.

A good place to stay with a pleasant location.

A good place to stay with a pleasant location.
The sea and the "green zone" are within walking distance, right along the beach you can accidentally get to another city.)
The service is attentive, the staff works with soul.
I will only note that it is worth expanding the breakfast menu in terms of a variety of hot dishes.

Spent a couple of nights with my kids at the Riviera hotel. It was the best 3 days. The room was very clean, beds comfortable, food excellent. It felt homely and warm. My preferred place was the spa. It was rejuvenating and clean. For a three star hotel, I think they deserve a top rating. I will highly recommend this place. The kids had fun and enjoyed the entertainment. Though we spent time out as well, they were drawn to the activities and facilities on site. The guys at the bar were lovely and the waitresses were pleasant. Some reception staff were brilliant. On the whole I would love to stay there again.

Stayed here for one night before Christmas with 7 friends. Lovely hotel. We had lunch in the bar which was tasty & well priced. Had 3 course Christmas meal which was very filling & our table was in the conservatory. The meal included both red & white wine. The tables were decorated beautifully. There was a disco till 1am. My friend used the pool the next day & enjoyed the swim. I booked a spa treatment, body massage, which was reasonably priced, with a 10% discount for staying guests. The room I had was spacious, double & single bed, small balcony with a distant sea view & en suite with clean white towels. The breakfast the next morning was also very good with a buffet breakfast & plenty of choice. My only problem was the bed, which was too hard. We had such a good time we hope to return next Christmas.

We used the Hotel for our Christmas party. We had 3 complementary drinks vouchers, a 3 course meal and DJ for the evening, shared with one or two other companies having their party at the same venue that night. The food was ok, bread was left out, hard. I had soup, turkey and chocolate desert, all ok. The desert being the tastiest. They had laid out crackers, bizarrely all having the same joke in. The highlight of the meal was organised by someone from the other companies who got everyone to stand up and sing 12 Days of Christmas. The DJ was standard, we had a great night mainly because of the people that went.. sorry..

We rested in this hotel with a child, we really liked everything , friendly staff, our room was together with a kitchen and it was very convenient for us. Had a good time in the pool where there was only our family without unnecessary people. We will be happy to come back to visit you

Calm, peaceful and tranquil hotel. All staff here are friendly and approachable, they are willing to accommodate their visitors requests and provide a very professional, yet personal experience. Thoroughly recommend you stay, especially if you have a doggie

Had family reunion weekend in March and staff were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast and dinner good and rooms clean and comfortable. Lovely indoor pool and pool table, table tennis and table football was great for children. A stroll along beach to the town centre and pier is enjoyable but hill from hotel to beach is quite steep. Drinks are expensive but we did have a fabulous weekend.

This is a beautiful hotel. The hotel and the rooms are spotlessly clean. The food is amazing especially the evening meals! Only negative comment would be that not all the staff were friendly, some appeared rather rude on times, (which let the whole package down) also the drinks are rather expensive! Other than that id definitely stay here again and recommend to a friend!

Stayed over for a social event. Really fun night and great service. I've been fortunate to have been there repeatedly for various events and the only issue is sometimes the popularity out strips the capability of the bar. A bit of patience though and your evening is rewarded satisfactorily.

Great family friendly hotel who has plenty to offer regardless of weather. Play room, swimming pool and outdoor garden. 5 mins walk to the beach and 20 mins to the pier. We stayed in the appartment, nice decor inside however communal areas and windows let it down, very outdated. We opted for breakfast, this was one of the best experiences we have had, teas and coffee flowing, hot English buffet breakfast with the usual continental breakfast on offer. Friendly staff. We would go again.

Another great stay at this hotel. Cannot fault it, friendly helpful staff, great food. Excellent facilities for children and adults as hotel caters for all its guests. Great location to the beach. Booking up on next stay for the next half term

We stayed in room 107. It was okay as we didn't plan on staying there all day. Check in and get out around Bournemouth. A few pointers
The toilet set wouldn't stay up. Easily fixed.
At night there is light streaming into the room from the fire exit door down stairs. Add a senser.
The bathroom needs a makeover. Over the bath shower which is no good for elderly. No grab rails.
Gym and spa okay. No sauna/steam room.

Very pleasant staff, good indoor pool and excellent breakfast. Hotel is a little dated , but charming and good value for money.

I did have a room issue , but the manager solved it and was very gracious.

We had a fun holiday and the hotel was well worth the money.

Excellent value & pet-friendly 3 star hotel within a few minutes walk of the superb sandy beach at Alum Chine only a few minutes drive west of Bournemouth. The quality of ammenities and service is surprisingly good for the price of the room rates. Great for a weekend break or a short get-away, especially in low season. Though some aspects are slightly dated, it's still clean, comfortable and very affordable. I would happily stay here again.

Spent 5days over Christmas at this hotel and loved every minute, the food was first class, plentiful and delicious, the staff were amazing , friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble, the rooms were comfortable and spotless, the bedding was worthy if a 5 star hotel, very near to the beach although if you have difficulty walking this would not have been for you, would go back tomorrow, well worth a visit

Not bad, friendly staff and good amentities but indoor pool can only be used from 8am-9pm and also food is not too good, I had the worst burger ever, a way too small bedroom and bath for a couple. Not very happy!

A very clean & comfortable hotel, with a welcoming reception. Downside is that without a car, it is a bit of a walk to a bus stop with a frequent service into Central Bournemouth. The beach seems to be much closer than the city centre though ! Nice breakfast, service staff, an indoor pool, plus the offer of a morning newspaper make this hotel even better !

Went for a work Christmas party and to say the portions were small would be being very generous, the starter was 2 slices of parma ham with 5 menon balls, and how can you run out of gravy (easily the cheapest thing in the plate) when you still have 2 massively undercooked "roast" potatoes left
