The Ritz-Carlton San Francisco Review

The walls are paper thin which is disappointing for a hotel of this calibre.

Attended a conference here, the staff as amenities were amazing.

The room was amazing, wonderfully sized, and the staff was beyond helpful. We did have a noisy neighbor, but a quick call to the front desk and within a few minutes it was all quiet again.

Elegant hotel but I expected more classiness. Check-in experience a bit lacking. Our room was spacious and comfortable but not spectacular. Bathroom big and well maintained. Ordered breakfast up to the room - was good but not great. Nothing really wrong but I expected more.

We did a breakfast at the restaurant. The staff was polite. Prices seemed a little high, given that the yogurt was delivered in a store package. Otherwise service and quality was good.

I was here for a conference. Very good service and great facility.

The hotel is great. The staff is friendly. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable.

Location was great, right in thr middle of a nice neighborhood and close to a lot of the shopping and dining in San Francisco. Rooms were good as well.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They provided umbrellas since it was raining. They helped find a lost wallet and provided an ice pack when my niece split her lip open. The rooms were very large and well maintained.

Great place for overnight stay, great drinks ambience very nice!

The dining experience was fabulous. I ate a winter medley and mac n cheese, which was fantastic. The service was great too!

As always Wonderful, qt top service, top breakfast. It has the bar with a beautiful view from the top of San Francisco

Sitting in the city center, the environment is beautiful, walking distance to the city restaurant, only 10 minutes to Chinatown

Ballroom was amazing and wait staff were very profesional at all times

The lounge is very charming and great place to get some drinks and relax

Super pleasant staff very well-appointed rooms and an enjoyable, relaxing, pleasurable stay. The beds were amazingly comfortable the service was impeccable. It's a beautiful world class hotel. The spa wasn't very interesting. The food is very good, fabulous room service. One of the best staffed hotels I have stayed in for a long time.
The assistant to the general manager was absolutely a Divine lady!

Beautiful place with the most friendly staff. They remember your name and treat you like a friend. I will be coming back and recommend it to all my friends.

Great experience for quick overnight trip. Check in was smooth with Ritarose, and we were very surprised to find a welcome amenity in our room after returning from an Andre Bocelli concert. The hotel had left us a beautiful tray of macaroons and chocolates and even had a while chocolate bar decorated with Bocelli s picture. Looking forward to going back someday!

Beautiful hotel, and nothing rundown about it (which is usually what one expects from hotels in San Francisco). And the staff are all very nice and helpful.

I've been to several Ritz Carltons this one is my absolute favorite. It's gorgeous, great location, and the service is the best! Shout out to club concierge, Leo Yamo, he was so great to my family. So helpful, and kind, really went above and beyond. Also to Carmen, she was so sweet!

Went for a benefit event. The hotel did a good job hosting us.

Very pretty location, and a fab hotel. Staff, as usual, are very good with the kids. Lovely treats in the room when we arrived. The bar is nice, along with breakfast. Luis at breakfast was great! Cable car not too far from the hotel. Would recommend and stay here again.

Right off the California Cable Car and adjacent to Chinatown. Was there for an event, but afterword went to the lobby bar. Service was excellent. A very tasteful place. Didn't stay in a room (I live in SF), but I'm sure the rooms are as nice as other locations.

The best ever, the concierge club staff make this the best work/play place ever !

Used the hotel for an event. Catering staff and food was great, facilities well maintained, everyone super helpful. Would happily book again.

Just left my hotel and it was an amazing experience!! The staff is so professional, thoughtful, kind, and anticipating off everything! The room was exquisite and so clean. I got breakfast and it was a great way to start my morning! They even let me do a late check out! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Check them out and you will love your stay!

Great hotel near local landmarks. (See attached picture) The only reason I'm not giving them five stars is because of how expensive it was. I was only able to stay there because I travel a lot and when I do I stay at Marriott hotels, giving me points that enable me to stay in expensive hotels. (Right when you walk in, there is a desk with around 50 flowers, NO KIDDING! And their lotion and conditioner- but not shampoo- smell like their flower desk. Employees are really nice with lots of elevated language. Overall it was a great place.

This hotel is perfect. Beautiful and clean rooms. The staff are ultra helpful and friendly. Our stay here was really enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again.

I attended afternoon tea on a Saturday. The presentation of the food was beautiful but the staff were the real draw. They were professional, observant, available, and went above and beyond to celebrate my friend's birthday. It was a lovely meal.

Famous Hollywood people where they sat, walked and fed famous. It's a good idea to get in and take a picture. They are all kind and will gladly portray you.

Had their breakfast buffet. Wouldn't expect anything less. Dined with royalty and treated us as so. Staff was amazing.

I attended an event there at Parallel 37 and I was very pleased with the service.

Beautiful building, historic location at the top of the hill, great service. They do penny-and-dime you with the honor bar. Definitely overpriced. But very high end and... ritzy

Exceptional service where they go above and beyond to take care of your needs. Lots of little touches like the Velcrove holders they put around the wires on your phone chargers. We stayed in a beautiful suite . The hotel is immaculate and well designed in a fantastic location. We were able to walk everywhere. Love the guys with the top hats at the front door. !

Fancy hotel. Catered food was surprisingly underwhelming though.

It wasn't my first stay at this Ritz-Carlton and the host at the reception desk thanked me for returning. Room was nice and spacious but was really more than I needed for the evening. The most important thing for me is that when traveling having a great bed to sleep in is key. This has always been a key defining characteristic of the Ritz-Carlton. I will return!

Attended a conference at the Ritz. It s location
on Nob Hill makes it the place to stay for fine dinning and entertainment. A foodies heaven
with some many choices and not enough time!

Of course expectations are high coming to any Ritz. Our latest visit was a reminder of what absolute top notch service could be. From checking in, where our three year old was able to color at a dedicated kids play desk and was given a kids tote bag full of coloring pads, crayons, a scavenger hunt, etc. House keeping was the best I can remember, so many little things they do to make everything is perfect. The valet for our stroller and car seat was incredibly quick and professional. This is a special hotel and we had a memorable stay.

The location is very central to many different locations throughout the city. The scenery is beautiful and the hotel's staff is absolutely one of a kind. The service is very anticipatory of the guest's needs and the suggestions made to us by the concierge desk enhanced our trip tremedously. The beds are wonderful! even 3 hours of sleep feels like sleeping on a cloud with those California Kings. It truly has been a pleasure to view the city with The Ritz-Carlton as our little getaway!!

Wonderful property. Excellent staff. Highly recommend. First class from the time Roe welcomed us at the front desk.
Looking forward to visiting again.

Amazing place and the stuff so helpful! they have also a nice bar & restaurant to spend time, and it's a great place to get a bed while exploring SF.
