By far the best and most accommodating hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff genuinely cares about making your experience wonderful. The room we stayed in was immaculate upon check in and the view of the lake was amazing.

The Ritz-Carlton is a fabulous place for a wedding...

The Ritz-Carlton is a fabulous place for a wedding and reception. They smash it. These ultra professionals really understand how to incorporate the details, the quality, and spectacular service into a package that delivers a punch as precise as Tyson, but without the bite. They really put forth an incredible effort to satisfy their clientele. Like I said they are smashing. There are little glass plastic and metal jelly beans all over the place. It actually makes it kind of hungry. The food they make there is also spot-on. Meticulous details everywhere. To even check into the place you got to go to the 12th floor to find a Lobby. And then from there you can take it as you want. Everybody. Much more than that they're incredible. I vaguely injured my finger on the dance floor with a miscalculated me and ended up poking my skin and bleeding a little bit and they ordered security up with a medic bag and a tactical medic to give me a Band-Aid. That actually went a long way in my mind. Really take things to where they need to go. And they made me very happy with all the dedicated attention to my poor little tiny finger. There and talk about standards are probably enviable. They impress me enough that I thank everybody that I came into contact throughout the evening. My cousin got married and all of us had a fabulous time. Thank you ritz.

This is an old hotel but the location is great. I found the staff to be very courteous and helpful. The bar prices are pricy, especially for such things as a hot pretzel that was burned and then returned and made edible. Our room was small but comfortable. The bed was comfortable. The cable TV kept freezing up. The price of a room is inexpensive considering the central location. All in all, the stay here was good.

The service is always excellent at the Ritz-Carlton. It starts with the wonderful staff who greet you at the door, or assist you in getting into a cab safely. The drinks are great and the waitstaff is attentive.

I attended an open house of their spa and gym, sponsored by my building's management company. They have really nice facilities, and surprisingly it wasn't much more expensive than a comparable membership to the local FFC gyms.

I was really impressed with how friendly everyone was. Both staff and fellow guests made it a point to say hi. Our room was very spacious and had a great view of the city and lake Michigan. I also was very happy to find out they offered complimentary shoe shining overnight. The central location to all the shops. Kept both my wife and I busy in our spare time.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay! The entire staff was pleasant, and welcoming as expected.
No question or inquiry went unanswered, discrepancies were fixed immediately, and room service was phenomenal. The location is perfect with beautiful views to go to sleep and wake up to. All of my favorite stores, shops, and restaurants right outside of the elevator or across the street.

Staff was friendly and hotel was very clean! Great place to stay! Nice pool, workout room & a nice outdoor entertainment area for guests. Plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. Easy access to interstate 77. We would stay here again.

This hotel just had a beautiful renovation in their lobby which really elevated this hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed, as expected, and it's always nice to have a Nespresso machine in the room as well. The staff is super friendly and the location of this hotel is fantastic. I would highly recommend this hotel of you're looking for an upscale place to stay on Michigan Ave.

Loved it and will visit again. Views of Navy pier and the mile from the Lakeside suite were fantastic. Staff were friendly and engaging. Specifically, Jasper at the front desk, Jasmine with housekeeping, and Billy in the club lounge. They went the extra mile to make us feel welcome and pampered. My only recommendation for improvement would be to add large ice cubes in the lounge :)

Let me start by saying the staff from the convention side goes above and beyond to give you great service. We were there for a Parkwest event and Jose who has been there for more than 30 years really took it upon myself to give us excellent service don't get me wrong the rest of the crew also; keep up the great work. The hotel rooms were big, clean and very cozy; the view was also great. Check in and check out was fast and pleasant. Will definitely stay there again!

This hotel is superb and is in line with the Ritz Carlton line. The hotel is centrally located in the Water Tower Place and you are maybe 50 steps from Michigan Ave. The hotel lobby is on the 12th floor and then you take another bank of elevators to the rooms. The restaurant and hotel bar is amazing. The lobby area is very romantic yet welcoming for groups and families. The rooms are great (downtown view) and spacious for downtown Chicago.

Not the hotel it once was when it was run by the four seasons group. Not even as good as some other Marriott properties. Don't get me wrong it is still a nice hotel with above average service but the is not working class any longer

Great customer service in greeting... but lack of communication. The rooftop was closed to guests for private events all day and night. but strange... guests were out enjoying their drinks served by a bartender. Maybe the private party rented the roof top five days 24hrs. Location is perfect to go shopping and eating!! Decor isn't the best... gooey stuff splattered on the walls and red stains all over the cushions... and stains on the curtain panels. The water pressure in shower is amazing!! Overall it felt like a place we would stay when we were in high school...
Pay the extra... going back to Four Season's

Had a meeting here and ate lunch at restaurant. Very nice place but prices were very high for what you get. A chicken Caesar salad was $25! Had ones that were the same for less than half the cost.

So every time I m staying at a Ritz-Carlton hotel my expectations are high. This one though didn t live up to my time expectations. Come to find out the hotel used to be a four seasons which was just recently bought and they were in a transition period and it totally showed. The spa had great service and the food was really good too.

Ritz is associated with a certain level of luxury and service that is severely lacking at this property. This property is more like a Marriott than a Ritz. Stay away from the restaurant- horrible meal and service.

Wow, what a beautiful space. Attended the annual wine gala in the newly remodeled banquet space on the 12th floor, it was beautifully redone. Neutral but beautiful. The food was really good too. Really enjoyed the smoked wild salmon cured and smoked in-house, absolutely delicious.

Lovely in Every Way

Lovely in Every Way
I am a year late in writing this review but have save the card of Claudio Trujillo, Ritz's night manager, all this time. The service he provided was AMAZING after a late night flight we arrived in search of a glass of wine and a meal once we got checked in. Claudio made sure the bar stayed open, upgraded our room, and even had a piece of birthday cake sent for me! He didn't have to do any of this and we would have been comfortable. Instead he went, not only 1 extra step, but 5, to make sure we were treated like queens. I love the service at the Ritz but rarely gush over the efforts of a specific employee who really loves his job. Thank you,Claudio!

A decade ago I was in Chicago hotels for 6 months doing air force honor guard. A coworker friend of mine, who grew up in Chicago made sure we stayed in every top rated hotel. We saved to come out of pocket to stay here, you were the last and the best on the list. But we got called back and our run ended. So five stars to you, you mythical beast.

I have been to three star hotels better than this....

I have been to three star hotels better than this. I'm very disappointed in the Ritz-Carlton for this crappy hotel. This has to be their crappiest hotel ever. I'm a Ritz-Carlton fan, I've been to multiple properties. I've been to countless hotels internationally and this is by far the worst "supposedly, 'luxury' hotel." The only thing luxurious about this hotel is the sign. I regret wasting money on this Chicago hotel. The lobby elevator was dirty for multiple hours. It has a strange old smell, as if something is old and rotten. This smell is in the hallways on multiple floors. The rooms are outdated. No technology at all, everything is manual and old, and its 2018. The carpet is old, the wallpaper is old, room looks gloomy. The tv in the room is very small (32 inch.). Gym hours are out of wack. Cheap with the heat. Customer service with multiple employees was anything but friendly. All horrible.
