I was here with my girlfriend while on business. Location is clean and well-maintained. It's a prime location in the loop right on Michigan Avenue.

The staff is well dressed, professional, and helpful. We were there for drinks and then gone.

Amazing views of the city. Great staff. Lovely decor. Awesome location. Would definitely stay again!

The top floor restaurant and bar are my secret getaway. If you're traveling on business or pleasure (honeymoon) I recommend booking a room at the Ritz. Its kinda unforgettable

Beautiful and exclusive hotel right next to The Magnificent Mile. The executive suite is roomy and the view is great. Hotel has all the amenities you can expect from a 5 star hotel and the sights are within walking distance.

Excellent location, beautiful room, especially nice if you can get a view of the lake! and the always excellent Ritz 'gold' standards for service makes for a fantastic hotel.

The lobby bar is a favorite for post-work cocktails. The outdoor terrace is a lively in warm weather. Drinks and service are high quality.

Stopped in for breakfast at the cafe and instead went to the restaurant. Excellent food and service. Large portions perfectly cooked. Corned beef hash was great and the eggs cooked to perfection. Will definitely be back.

Don't get a room anywhere near the elevator. Constant beep beep beep.

Outside eating was closed. Picketing outside the main doors . the room was so so thought it would be more posh

Delightful. Was upgraded to a corner room on the 28th floor - sweet!
Service so nice. A small example. I was just there overnight, so brought my toiletries in a zip lock bag. Dumped them on the counter and went to dinner
When I returned, they were all lovingly laid out in size order. Too cute.
And my ice bucket was filed twice a day. Yes, it's the little things that make such big difference

The layout is a bit confusing, with the lobby on the second floor, and it looks a bit dingy. The staff and the accommodations are wonderful, though.

The Ritz-Carlton, Chicago was very nice. The decor was lovely. I went there for a professional event and the food was excellent. Service was wonderful. Everyone was very polite, courteous, and helpful. The location is very convenient and easy to get to. It's also located near many local attractions. Many things are within walking distance.

Great place to stay it's hooked up to the water tower place .great customer service

Luxury that has recently gotten a makeover. We stayed in a room that has been updated and it is beautiful. More modern. The designer thought out of the box on the room layout. The bed faces the window rather than the TV. Genius. The views are way better than what you will see on the television. The TV does move to angle toward the bed which makes for very comfortable viewing. The shower has a rain fixture, it feels so good! Great staff eager to please. Fabulous work out facilities. The location couldn't be better. Sitting on top of the stores at Water Tower Place is so handy. Just an elevator ride down to great shopping and food. Overall a really wonderful place to stay.

Having stayed in most hotels in Chicago, this is still my favorite. Some extraordinary water views, service that is impeccable and always ahead of the curve. Hate cannot go wrong place to stay. Get one of the executive suites on the corner and you will be thrilled to pieces and may never leave your room!

My wife had her necklace stolen while we were gone for the day. Make sure your jewelry is hidden (or locked up) before the staff is cleaning.

Update (02.21.19): This original (negative) review was now found to be in an embarrassing error. My wife found her necklace, so The Ritz Carlton was not at fault. We apologize for this error and wish to provide our maid service a very sincere apology. We will be rewarding her for her candor. We've changed our review from 2-star to 5-star.

The hotel and the staff were very nice. The location is wonderful and is within walking distance to many great attractions and restaurants. The only reason this is not a 5 star review is that there is not free WiFi available for guests.

Very nice and clean. Bar/lounge has nice views. Food was great. I was there for a corporate event.

Great hotel and even better service. Love the staff. My daughter calls it "the cookie hotel" because they always bring her a cookie during our stay!

The rooms were very nice, the beds were comfortable and I always cane back to a nicely cleaned room.

The beauty of this hotel and level of pride of service is definitely breathtaking. I had the opportunity of a life time to have a 3 hour tour of this beautiful hotel from Tia, an HR Manager, as well as Joe, the Director of Security. We were also able to meet the General Manager along with many of the professionals that run the day to day operations. They are currently undergoing a major renovation in their hotel and it is definitely something no one should miss one it is complete. Book your hotel rooms now because the Ritz Carlton of Chicago, if not already, will be the best place to stay while traveling.

I will never stay here again. The staff is rude, the rooms are small and smell. Go across the street to Four Seasons -

i like to dine and wine with my mistress here and there i will stop by the ritz and order their finest. superb service and exquisite hand crafted and stained glass from Paris (i love the Carlton like Google) France. they have such great food here

I had a drink at this hotel and they were also kind enough to look after my bag for the day, even though I hadn't stayed in the hotel. Overall, lovely place and lovely customer experience. Next time I travel for work will definitely stay there!

Poor WiFi range(I should not have to call a front desk to change rooms).

Fabulous place! Great location, roof top lounge has great food! Only complaint is our room was extremely dry we kept shocking ourselves, I should have asked for a humidifier but didn t, not sure if they carry them in hand.

The service and accommodations are exceptional. Close to all on the Miracle Mile. Anything less than 5 stars must just be a complainer.

This place was so amazing. From the moment I pulled up I could tell it would be better than I expected from reading some of the mixed reviews. The main entrance off the street is the lower level but there is another covered entrance. When you enter the lower level doorman greet you and whisk you up to the main entrance/lobby the main lobby is so decadent and opulent you will feel like it s show time. When I arrived and the front desk everyone was so happy. I was checked in and they gave me an excellent room. Kanika at the front desk was so nice and professional. She went above and beyond to make sure my stay was special and it was very appreciated. Also Laurel at the concierge was so polite and told me all I needed to know about the main attractions in Chicago for my stay. I could go on and on. But I will say my room was perfect. The views were perfect. The spa, pool and gym were perfect. The food and service was completely 5 star. And the location was a dream. I will definitely be back.

Was here for a work meeting, breakfast was shaky first day Monday but was much better today, they still provided great service even with the strike going on, location is tough to beat, such a great spot right by water tower sobose to so much!

My mom and dad took me here as a surprise and it was AMAZING! Outstanding service, nice area, and lots of throngs to do. I hope to come back here and enjoy it once again with my family!

Headed to riffic time at this location met up with some old friends and had a terrific time with them beautiful place prices on drinks are not that bad little high but not bad

All services were incredible. Room was beautiful and beyond expectations. Excessive amenities. All staff was wonderful. Only complaint was it took 35 minutes and 2 phone calls to receive our luggage, but compared to the whole experience, it was fine!
