The The Ritz-Carlton, Chicago is a boutique hotel run by the Joie de Vivre brand of hotels. Centrally located in downtown San Francisco by Union Square and close to China Town and the Financial District, the hotel boasts 177 different guest rooms on 8 floors. Formerly the Hotel Sutter and built in 1911, the hotel underwent a massive renovation in 2013 and it shows with quaint finishes shown throughout.

Gave me another guests folio. We paid cash they posted to another guest room and charged my card. The manager on duty Alex said at first he would not be able to comp anything but then said he would. He then states that it would not authorize so he has to have accounting do it at 8. We shall see how long it takes them to fix it and if they honor his word.

The room was very nice with a fantastic view of Lake Michigan. The hotel having it's own private entrance to the water tower mall was very convenient. The pool is a bit small but still very nice and indoors. The rooftop bar and patio is actually on the 12th floor rather than the actual rooftop. Overnight parking was costly at $70+ per night.
