The Ritz-Carlton Beijing, Financial Street Review

One of the best hotels I have stayed. Staff went above and beyond to satisfy customers in every aspects. Welcome drink was delivered to us on a tray at the check in counter. Breakfast buffet was made to order from chef as we were a few guests dining that morning. Great selection and fresh ingredients. Spa area was spacious and clean. Rooms were clean with turndown service available every night!

Good location to be in the financial area, good food at the hotel and room are great.

Great hotel with truly amazing service but beware, as of this posting Google shows it in the wrong part of the city. The hotel is actually in the Xicheng District above a shopping mall, it is not close to Tiananmen Square, they need to fix this mistake.

The Ritz Carlton Beijing provided great service during a 7-day stay. While the breakfast buffet was expensive, it had good variety and service. The room was clean and bright, with enough English-language TV channels to fall asleep to. The adjacent shopping mall also features many restaurants at good prices, as well as a supermarket. For anyone more adventurous, a nearby Chinese restaurant offers breakfast buns, porridge, and other yummies for next to nothing. Very good experience here.

I relax as soon as I step through lobby as staff take such good care of you from the minute you arrive. No customized need is too much trouble. They warmly find out how your day is going, or what you face on this trip, and will arrange a special treat to make life better and easier. One time I got gifted coffee and slice of my favorite cake to take on my journey, when they heard I wouldn't have time to eat that day.

Room service staff are exceptionally kind and knowledgeable. They worked around my dietary needs and fatigue to customize a tasty, nutritious meal after 11 pm, when I arrived on a late flight.

Cons - room lighting is too dark for serious work, or inviting business associates for informal meeting. Please update! Also need better ventilation, as rooms are suffering from indoor pollution .

Chinese and Italian restaurants serve delicious food. Chinese restaurant have given us some of the best meals in Beijing. Great for business and romantic dining!

Overall, a hotel that I always look forward to staying in. Home from home. Thank you to the wonderful staff!

The original three stars, housekeeping may not be good enough, but the level of staff above the middle level is very commendable. Give four stars. It is not enough to have a restaurant with the front desk and the concierge staff.

Fantastic service, even during a particularly crazy period for them while everyone was staying there for the China development forum. Rooms are ok, standard 5 star, nothing really exceptional, and the location is only good if you need to be in that part of town for work. Love that they have a little yoga room in the gym. Would stay again in I need to be in that part of Beijing

Great location for business trips if your office is around the Financial Street area. Helpful staff and spacious rooms. Typical issue with hotels in China, traffic and construction noise entering the hotel room 24/7.

Extremely disappointment upon arrival. Booked the hotel through Marriott Bonvoy App and was told we had no lounge access even with Titanium Elite status. They were apologitic and mentioned it was an system error and that complimentary lounge access info should have not appeared in our reservation detail... had we known about this we would have stayed else where. Room was outdated and coffee machine had dirt in it..stitching on the pillow case were worn out, the overall attention to details were severely lacking.. even with the air purifier in the room it reeked of cigarettes. This was the worst Ritz we had ever stayed at!

Very convenient location for central Beijing. Great service and friendly/helpful staff. Strongly recommend the airport hotel car service.

Exceptional customer service! Most friendly staff! The team working on the 18th floor (club lounge) made us not want to leave! We nearly skipped our plans in Beijing to hang out with them all day and night! Please remember these names. Gordon, Jaya, Elaine, Cherry, Steven, Crystal and Brenda. These folks are most highly trained, highly professional and are there for you! Again, my family and I debated in hanging out at the club lounge and skipping our tour group. I WILL be back!

The Chinese afternoon tea at the hotel's second floor bar is quite good. The Chinese dessert is accompanied by a cup of fragrant milk tea, just like returning to Guangzhou to eat snacks. The waiter was also very enthusiastic and gave us a brief introduction.

the hotel and service quality is good; but decoration is a bit old, and the room is not well lit; neighborhood is convenience for those who work in financial district; neighborhood can be very noisy in the morning.
