I don't usually comment on golf courses but WOW! This place is beautiful. I will definitely be back.

The rooms are a little dated and not sure how clean the carpet is in the rooms. The restaurant definitely needs some upgrades. I had the salmon for dinner and the rice that came with it was very lumpy, not fluffy like rice should be. Menu choices are not all that great. The golf course was in excellent shape. I will come back knowing what to expect because of the golf course, how peaceful it is, and the staff was fairly good. But they could make things better food wise (nothing chocolate for dessert, seriously??)

You need more variety of entertainment at the center to attract more people. For example movie night outside under the stars or Bingo night. Unfortunately Tapatio Springs is kind of boring especially if you're not a golfer.

A very relaxing weekend there. Beautiful place to stay.

Perfect location and views. Wildlife is abundant. Customer service was outstanding. Nice grounds with fire pits. Only things I recommend is a handrail for the adult jacuzzi it is very deep and a safety issue. Also a few more food options. Menus and dining is limited.

Friendly front desk service, salt cave was neat but restaurant staff and hotel itself not of high quality.

A little bit of a zigzag road to get here, but and excellent location. The pools near the rooms are nice and have a bar and food. The main restaurant is okay but not amazing, go into Boerne for dinner. The bed and pillows are very nice.

It's a beautiful location. The rooms thought had thin walls and we had a very noisy family on the floor above us.

Lovely place for a vacay. Even during these times of uncertainty the staff was well equipped to attend their guests by wearing their masks and providing a great customer service.

Beautifully secluded, friendly staff and a nice dining area. The golf course was well manicured and a nice little course that challenges your driver. The rooms were dated and need an upgrade but they were clean and comfortable. Staff was energetic and helpful. Drinks are a little pricey so keep that in mind.

Service is great. Clean rooms, good golfing. Check out the country band Brutherz when they play. Top notch.

This place is above and beyond great. First time going and will definitely be back. It was the day before valentine's day and i ordered a lovers package along with my room. It came with chocolate covered strawberries, champagne, late check out, breakfast for 2 and smores. When we entered the room they had it laid out beautifully. Then to add an extra touch they put the television on playing romantic music. Overall great first impression. The restaurant is very beautiful and the food is delicious. Plates are between $25- $35 a person. Then around 7 they have fire pits that are lit. Its very convenient because there's one located near every building. They are wood fire pits so they have wood already cut for you to keep the fire burning as long as you want. It was just the perfect place.

This is a poorly run "resort". The hospitality from management is horrendous, the rooms are dated and minimally clean at best, don't even consider trying to order food from the bar area unless you want it to take more than an hour for an overcooked burger that comes out room temperature, the course has some nice views but very average condition.

You can definitely do better elsewhere.

once again, i never said i stayed at the resort during this survey but since i have your attention. . . taxation is theft. 9-11 was an inside job. the government doesnt care about you. your feelings dont matter. Go Spurs Go!

They are working on their clubhouse that burnt to the ground last year, golf is still good.

Love this place! The course is in good shape a lot of room to play. When they open the new Clubhouse is going to be amazing. The price is really good. Looking forward for my next game @Tapatio!!!

Great romantic weekend getaway! The salt cave was great, and the amenities were perfect.

Fantastic employee service....best facility and service anywhere. Never have to leave the property.

Facilities looked wonderful and the staff was very kind and helpful. My problem was that there is virtually no insulation between rooms or floors. You can here rain, people (clearly,) footsteps, cars, EVERYTHING! I guess someone complained, so there was drama in the hallway, that I also got to listen to. No one was being loud, there is just nothing to stop sound. I had to be up at three to travel today. I am exhausted to say the least. It was terrible every night. Wonderful place, unless you like to sleep without 20 people in the room.

Clubhouse is under construction but course is in very good shape.

We were there for a family reunion. It was pretty nice, although the restaurant service was super slow. And they only play country music at the pool. The twangier the better....

Great hidden location, great amenities, the restaurant however could use some work on their customer service. Two different employees failed to greet us standing at the entrance and finally the third person to walk up finally acknowledged us but only to say "sorry, we're booked all night" not exactly sure how a hotel restaurant cannot accommodate all the guests staying at their hotel on any particular night. But we actually had to ask if it was ok to sit at the bar for dinner, it was never even offered to us as an option.

Great golf course, with lots of interesting twists and turns. The restaurant has an amazing down home country vibe with a great bar, and also an awesome men's lounge area in the locker room. Really nice.

Beautiful facility. Some directions to individual areas would have been nice. Excellent food and service.

I am from Northern California and have relocated to Texas for less than a year. Tapatio Springs reminds me of home. The track is really nice and it was such a great time. I will continue to play there anytime I am in San Antonio.

As far as golf goes, I don't know. I'm no golfer. The greens looked well-kept from a distance.

The room:

Thin, scratchy toilet paper
Cheap plastic tub
Squeaky hard bed
Cheap synthetic pillows
The low quality linens are covered in peel
No in-room fridge (available by request, supposedly, but out of stock)
I had to put the desk chair's joints back in place. (Glad I saw that before it broke under my weight)

Room service:

No complimentary water included
Very limited menu in-room (I asked over the phone, and there are more available items not on the room service menu)
Served in disposable containers with plastic silverware contained in plastic grocery bag

Edit: I may have been hasty. I have since ordered two meals that did, actually, come on a real plate with real silverware. It's possible that the first was a mistake made by a new worker. However, drinks are still served in disposable cups.

The negatives being stated:

Room is clean and aesthetically pleasing.
Lovely flooring.
Nice patio has beautiful view
Has a huge tv.
The staff is kind and helpful.
Armadillo egg, hamburger, fries, and omelet are delicious.
The grounds are beautiful.
There are trails to take the dog exploring on.

Oh-the spa:

Lovely place. Very relaxing.
Mary, my massage therapist is WONDERFUL. My bad shoulder hasn't felt so loose since the accident, and she gave me tips on stretches to help.

The Polish woman (sorry, forgot her name) who gave me a facial did a wonderful job with my sensitive skin. My face hasn't looked so good in years. She also gave me tips on how to rejuvenate my dehydrated skin.

The salt cave is complete BS. Relaxing, yes. But I was expecting some kind of respiratory therapeutic experience.

Over all, I am pleased. I feel it deserves higher than 3 stars, but not quite nice enough for 4. 3.66 stars.

Staff was extremely accommodating. Our trip was relaxing and enjoyable. Thoroughly loved sitting by the fire pit with a glass of wine listening to the fabulous live entertainment. Couldn t have been better.

I would recommend. My husband and I love the stay. The space room. This was a nice country club to experience. Not to mention the beautiful view at balcony seeing wonderful pack of deers ;) can't wait for the summer. Thank You Tapatio Springs! The only thing we request a microwave and we're out. Hope next time.

My first visit since the renovation after the fire. What a great job they did! I will return and will get pics my next trip. Beautiful scenery. The dining room has huge glass doors that can be opened during nice weather. Lunch menu is great with a nice selection of soup, salads, samdwiches and lunch plates. Staff is very courteous and professional.

Brand new remodel opening weekend we stayed. Bed soft, can t get on the patio in your room because the AC units are too loud outside. . Staff nice, meals overpriced, rooms overpriced but golf course was awesome. Beautiful remodel.

What a great Hill Country experience, stayed 3 nights to unplug and slow down. Sitting on back patio in a cozy chair of club house to sittting around one of many fire pits, they make it easy to relax and slow down.

Great time. We did the stay and play golf package. The course was in great shape and pace of play was at or under 4 hours. Food at The main restaurant was good. The rooms could use updating. The pools were nice. Very kid friendly.

Came for the weekend on an Army Family Retreat. Great place to relax.

Sorry but not impressed. The room was outdated and boring. The phone didn't work and when I try to call from my cell the message says no one is available after hours and to leave a message. The shower faucet made a really loud noise the entire time I was showering. The food at the restaurant is extremely expensive, small portions and doesn't taste that great.

This place is fabulous. The staff is friendly. Rooms are spacious and the view is amazing.

Checking in was quick and painless. The room was beautiful when we walked in as well as the view of the golf course!!!

I know they re trying to pay for a new club house, but paying $20 as a passerby for a range fee is atrocious.

The first day we played this golf course we had a lovely time, enjoyed the course and the staff was lovely. We tried to get in one more round before David's Friday surgery. We went back on Thursday and I signed us in. I did ask about the $20.00 increase in price as it was a weekday as I was curious. The pro walked over and introduced himself and said he doesn't set the prices. I said ok. As I was finishing up signing in he asked me if that was my cart out there. When I said yes, he asked me if the small red bag in my cart was a cooler. I said yes. He said no coolers allowed. I told him if he had a small 1% milk, a small whole milk, 2 small homemade muffins, an ensure, a power bar,two small bottles of Powerade and two bottles of water I would take them and put my small cooler in my truck. He said people were bringing in very large yeti Coolers filled with beer. I told him, he could inspect mine. He told me to just put a towel over it.
We went out to play and I tried to relax. Within three holes we ran into an extremely slow twosome who apparently had no intention of letting us through or didn't know that was golf etiquette. We waited on every hole.
Between being"talked to" by the pro and the slow play we just quit after nine holes. I didn't even go in to the pro shop as I didn't want to be approached again.
In 22 years of full-time rving and playing golf 2 to 3 times a week at courses all over the United States, including Coeur d'Alene, The Old Works, Golden Ocala & and hundreds of other courses, we have never been approached about our cooler.
David's surgery was canceled but it certainly didn't make me want to call right away to see if we could get in another round of golf before leaving here. Diana

Puresolspa - salt cave was great! Induced deep relaxed state of being. Ate fabulous mushroom soup at the clubhouse. Worth the drive from SAT.

Great time with wife and visit with Pro Staff. Everyone should play golf at course. Erin Ness in Pro Shop is fantastic!

Just hosted a 3 day Girl's Getaway and it was fabulous! the staff was exceptional, the rooms were comfortable, the food and drinks were great- wonderful ambiance- can't wait to return!

Had a great time at NYE celebration there. Restaurant food was great. Had the boneless ribeye. Rooms a little dated, but nice and clean.

Was only there briefly but facilities were very nice. Golf course looked great although I wasn't able to play.

Just beautiful, great food, great staff. Would like to move out there. Absolutely enjoyed every minute. Maybe next time we'll bump into the Man, always keep guitar in truck just in case.
