Beautiful new downtown park when the bathrooms are working.

Beautiful park- wonderful trees<3 and a spectacular place to bring your dogs and cats! Just pick up after them(don't forget the poop bags :) though they sometimes have their own for those of us who forget. Bring the kiddos and infants, heck; even babies are welcome- just bring a stroller if you don't want to carry them every which way. XD

This is a neat little park downtown. Not very big but a place that has concerts, farmer's market (Saturday's) yoga and other events. Great for picnics when the grass isn't over watered!

Fun Location in Downtown Austin.The new upgrades to the park are amazing! Very lovely park that hosts the Farmers Market on the the weekends. It's also where the main bus stops are so you can connect to any route headed south over the bridge.

It was awesome! I recieved a text from Amazon Treasure Truck to come watch Hotel Transylvania 3 and prayed for everyone that came to have an encounter and an experience with the living God to have revelation of how good He really is and to know He is God and Jesus is the way to Him!

Republic Square is a popular bus transfer stop. Many homeless people frequent this area and loiter in the park. Students, people with children and individuals working in the area also hangout there during the day. You'd probably want to avoid the area at night. Better safe than sorry.

Went to the farmers market that they have every weekend was amazing experience

The hub for Capital Metro. But the Park is still not open.

In front of brand new significant courthouse, which flaunts great artistic design.

No benches in park, but many directly in front of courthouse.

Good 2 bathrooms.

Bus stops on eastern edge = Guadalupe Street.

Place is filled with homeless folks acting skitzo..Its unsafe!

Republic square is a small park that allows people to see the west side of downtown Austin and the courthouse is there. It's a little park, but i do enjoy sitting and talking to people there.

Clean bathrooms (unisex). Houses the main city bus terminal for down town area.

Love the Sunday morning gatherings on the deck under the tree!

I drove by but parking was not to be as we had places to go. Parking needs better visibility, there is an app for finding and paying but I never saw the words public parking on any signs.

The Republic Square is a nice little public park in the middle of downtown Austin. It is also the home of the amazing downtown farmers market on Saturdays. At the market I recommend picking up eggs from Milagro Farms, they're amazing!

Tip: Get to the farmers market towards the end of the day and the vendors always offer end of day specials to sell their products.

My second time in San Antonio the first time was 9yrs ago and they were babies...

It's the place you need to go to catch all the buses going north. The city is infested with democratic voters... I mean homeless people. The city does nothing to protect visitors from being aggressively approached and harassed and even yelled at by them.

Republic Square, now finished remodeling. Is very beautiful. Very pleasant place to just chill and read a book, or listen to music, or do yoga, or just hang out. After its remodeling finished it looks , and feels, very pleasant.
The Farmer's Market takes place there every Saturday morning and it becomes more attractive with, besides the vendors, live music and other attractions. This is a very clean park. The Downtown Austin Alliance are doing an excellent job in keeping this park clean. Besides, they are very friendly and helpful. They are there all day long.
Some people say it's a quiet place in the middle of the downtown, I would say; not really quiet but very relaxing. You can still hear the noise of the busses, since is also a main bus stop, and is right in front of it.
If you come to the park in the morning better bring a tarp or some plastic to set underneath the blanket you spread on the grass to sit on. Why? The grass is always very wet in the mornings.
Do not smoke or drink alcoholic beverages without permission. It's an alcohol-tabacco-free environment. But, when concerts and events are going on all you can drink and smoke all you want (I think).
If you see Joy Dolluxe say hi, she will give you a good conversation, awesome foot massage if you ask (for ladies only) and help you have a fabulous day. she's a very kindhearted and friendly Venezuelan-American trans woman whose positive vibes are very contagious even though she's homeless and struggling to get by.
Please, help keep the park clean. Clean after your dog. There are also landfill trash cans and recycling trash cans, be mindful of that. Together we can made this place a better place to hang out.
Mind that now with the "Lime" and "Bird" scooters fever everyone tries to ride inside the park which is prohibited. So if you are riding those things keep in mind that you are not allowed to ride inside the park.

A nice serene little spot of peace and culture right smack in the middle of lower downtown.

Nice park for lunch, watch out for the homeless though.

Aesthetically and visually pleasing.Has places to charge you phone. Clean and available restrooms. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy the day with your friends and family.

Nice scenery, restrooms, and the bus system is out there.

Outdoor park in downtown Austin...no free parking nor public restrooms.

Nice park in downtown Austin, recently remodeled. Features a great farmers market on Saturday mornings. A cafe is coming to the park soon and that will enhance it.

We attended the Oyster Festival and it was a great time! We loved the VIP entrance and special perks. Hope its held at the same venue next year.
