Clean and pretty, lots of seating and tables. Righ...
Clean and pretty, lots of seating and tables. Right by the courthouse and has some bathrooms. Bathrooms are unisex and are open-air stalls though.

Nice, tables to sit at under tree cover, parts are undergoing construction so I'll have to see what's going to happen with that
Because this is where my wife lives and soon I will too Christina Owens
Gateway to multiple bus routes and a great rendezvous point for getting downtown using public transport. During ACL it gets extremely crowded since this where the shuttles leave to the festival.
This little niche of a park situated right in the middle of downtown Austin is a breath of fresh air. You can eat and charge your phone or just sit in the shady areas and watch the scene. It's gteat!
I love the way you were public park is preparing a report for Park and square are the square is good to have one of you have things out and like all they do the yard going to the health food sayings and they do all kinds of stuff and watch movies that's who sings I love you too and miss that with my own kids or my grandkids so if you enjoy them and I know it's a lot of people sleeping on the streets now a day that's a good place to be as long as you going to get drunk and disorderly in people you know if they tend to give you help you were saying so somebody offers you something take it don't don't don't even if it's food little bit of money even if it's place to stay or hope you get on your feet do that enjoy life Park square is like we're people love each other love each other respect each other sometimes you see somebody doing something stupid like key and like you know like peeing on a tree or something and I know it sounds bad but they got no bathrooms out nowhere and even if you go to a building now and he's a judge you is like like you're like you're on a street and here I am I living a place in Norway out north Lanier on Anderson Mill and 620 and people out here don't treat me like that but when I get to the middle of downtown Austin versus people to be around there for well love you and hope to hear from you God bless
Very interesting place. Go here to see funny earthlings.
Great views of the city and could be a really lovely park. However, it's over run with homeless. Bathrooms were unusable due to people washing their laundry and sleeping in stalls. I felt unsafe with my child. Unacceptable.
A walk and a rest that you get resting in this beautiful place
This place is amazing. You can ride the scooters you can rent around and around and raise in its superfine. You can feed the birds my little ones love to Chase them. This park Is also where they have the farmers market which makes it even more exceptional. The statues they have are really nice and the landscaping there is beautiful with the city wrapped around it. It's a good spot to sit under the large oak trees and relax. People do yoga out on the grass that's taking care of really well. Side note be careful there are some fire ant beds every now and then. My family enjoyed the trip here every time
Work across the street and everyone calls this "the homeless park". Can be uncomfortable with all the yelling and craziness.
Where the Farmers Market is every Saturday. It can get packed and hard to move around. Not a great selection of produce.
There have been many improvements recently. Better landscaping.
Decent place to go when you are bored downtown. There are events and stuff, and I hope they continue to have more. Let it grow organically please, with the people who are chilling, going to and from work, going to the doctor, and to see their families, unless you want to turn it into a weird and fake place that people will not want to fund anymore even if you pick the perfect beige lol.
Great open event space. Farmer's market there is pretty cool.
It's a good location for catching the whole bunch of the buses for going different routes.
Nice clean Park Saturday's flea market farmers markets really great too
I love this park cause it's a good central hub for public transportation
Beautiful place to relax and chill. Wonderful place to brings your pets if you have them.
A pretty area of downtown, bus stops, and a farmer's market sometimes.
Great place to walk around and get away from the city for a while.
I gotta scooter back to get a photo with the owl...
The good news: the City of Austin is investing in a major and long overdue overhaul of this long-ignored gem of an urban park. It should be a redesign worthy of the location in the heart of downtown. If the city is serious about promoting urban core living there must be open space and public gathering space with greenery that is accessible to all and conveniently located.
The bad news: the makeover will not effectively address the urgent need for a major transit transfer facility here. The City chose this as the primary transfer point years ago for most bus routes that come downtown, yet have never invested a dime in the infrastructure that most cities determined years ago were essential to any urban transit system, an inviting, attractive, and safe public space where large numbers of people can gather and wait to catch their connections. The City made Republic Square the default location for a transit center but inexplicably did nothing to make it work.
So today you see people waiting at bus stops that don't even have shelter from the elements. If the council comes to see the need for a real transit center at Republic Square it will be after the new construction is complete. Although some minor improvements are planned for bus riders it's too little, but it's never too late for the City to admit its errors and set about fixing it.
Full of homeless garbage. Also trash all over the ground.
Dirty. Lots of homeless people camping there. I didn't feel safe.
So much going on, I loved it. Farmers markets, music, arts, and there's so much to check out in the general area.
Nice little spot to chill while walking around downtown, surrounded by pretty buildings!
came here during the farmer's market on Saturday. Great variety of things for sale and lots of samples.
I was impress, the public bathrooms are very clean.
I think this is a nice little spot downtown they set up little events there and sell things in the morning you can sometimes see big groups of people doing yoga. You can walk your dog or just enjoy some shade under a tree. Also alongside the park you can catch almost any bus you desire.
Went to Taco Libre here...it was fun. The tacos and people were amazing but after paying almost 50 for 2 people at the door and being told I had to throw away the water I had brought with me on such a hot day, which was 4 dollars to replace inside the gate and also the small food samples which had been handed to me on my way through the gate...the tacos were still pretty expensive at some of the trucks. The fight was cheaply staged but still very funny. Seemed as little disorganized as a whole and very expensive altogether for tacos. Still a fun experience.
Farmer's market is held here on Saturdays. I have many memories at this park over the years. For a while there it was a dubious place at night for there was a homeless problem but when they built the Federal Court Building next to it it chased all the bums out. Now its safe again.
The park has a farmers market on Saturdays from 9-1 and yoga on certain days free movies in the park in the summer signs are posted in tge park what's happening in the coming days oe weeks they do have puclic restrooms here as well also a metro bus stop for mostly all bus routes
Came for the farmer's market on Saturday morning. The park seems like a good place for people to gather on a Saturday morning, get some produce, listen to live music and enjoy the sun.
I went to republic square for Austin's birthday party last weekend, and even filled with people the park feels big and clean. A nice quiet area right in the middle of the city
What a beautiful building and the apartments are so unique! I had a tour with Alex, and he was so professional, kind, and very detailed. I won t be needing anything immediately, but when I do this is where I will go! I was so impressed by Alex and how he followed up with me, not once, twice, but three phone calls! Loved everything about this community! Molly Hekma
Really nice (and small) park in the middle of the city. You see kids playing around, dogs, and some farmers markets here. Nice to walk around when it's not hot outside.
Nice park for frisbee or with the dogs. Anyone complaining about homeless people hanging out here obviously have never been homeless a day in their life. We have nowhere else to go. Nobody panhandles here. Bus stops located on one side; federal courthouse on the other side. A few plugs for charging devices and water fountain/restrooms open during the day.
It is loud with city traffic horns etc.
Bus depot really not much to say, a lot homeless people hang around the area.
Nice little place to walk downtown or skate, skated around the place many times and it is beautiful especially walking down the streets late at night and absorbing the vibe of the nightlife in Austin.
