Fantastic rooms, could not fault the hotel. Fantastic value

Excellent hotel with excellent rooms, great service and a great location. In the bathroom should occasionally be slightly better cleaned with regard to limescale.

The most disappointing stay during our European honeymoon. For a 5 star hotel, the rooms were dusty and unkempt, the washrooms are TINY, there was hair all over the hair dryer and the drawer it was in, and the shower had black mold in the grout. The curtains and headboard had an incredible amount of dust, stains in the carpet, and overall, room smelled very musky. Service from the concierge was decent, and I enjoyed the L'Occitane products they provided, but that was about it. I had hung a white t-shirt on one of their hangers, and it left yellow stains on the shoulders. I informed concierge, and they sent someone to launder my shirt immediately, free of charge. This was a nice gesture, until I received the shirt back and the whole white shirt had turned BROWN because they had bleached it. There wasn't much concierge could do except remove our other laundry expenses, and apologize. Ultimately, I'm just baffled that a 5 star hotel would make such a big mistake with laundry. Luckily, the next hotel we went to in Vienna (Grand Ferdinand) amazingly turned my shirt white again.

Luxurious lobby, friendly and excellent service. Very helpful. The normal room is kinda small and not comfortable bed !. Overall its good. Note: no coffee or coffee machine available in the room , should be standard for 5 hotel.

The stay I do not know but the restaurant impressed me ... from the reception, the service, the taste and the art deco architecture ... very feminine chandeliers in their rounded lines and abundant crystals ... and a beautiful golden gate that separates a wing Where are the wines? "

Excellent Hote! Nice, old hotel in the south of the old town of Zagreb and yet out of the hustle and bustle. Good starting point to discover the beautiful city. Rooms are very nice, had a suite with two rooms. Breakfast buffet is varied and the eggs from the menu very good. Staff everywhere very good, from the front desk to the maid. Immediately when I come to Zagreb again.

The hotel was built to meet the guests of the Orient Express, a great place.

An excellent hotel in the heart of Zagren. Right next to Zagreb Central Train station, so it is easy to get around using the metro, and to Tomislav square light rail station, with a lot of light rail lines. The hotel has over 100 years of history, originaly built as a stop for the passengers of Orient Express, and ended up becoming the most luxurious hotel in Zagreb. Staff is very polite and always tries to help, two very fanvy restaurants in the building (Zeinfandel and Le Bistro) and the rooms are luxurious and clean, this is the first hotel that i would reccomend to anyone visiting the City of Zagreb.

Fantastic hotel in the centre of Zagreb you can still smell the history of the Orient Express personnel is really friendly we had a great dinner experience in the brasserie on the ground level.

The hotel was very nice, clean and well equipped. It is in a very good location close to the main central station and within walking distance to most attractions. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel.

Classy, excellent service, well appointed hotel, which succeeded in conserving the flare and glamour of xix century in spite of the reforms. Restaurants, spa and gym are very good, piano bar very cosy, internet is free of charge and working very well.

The worst hotel I've ever experienced. I went to a third room with an extra bed and went to a strange people. When I show the confirmation of reservation, I will guide you at that time, but I do not mean to say sorry. Later, they wagged and laughed like they looked at each other behind. I did not even have any staff at all of the pensions I have visited. Thanks to this, my first impression of Croatia was very bad.

One of top hotels in Zagreb for years (decades)...great restaurant with world famous "Zagorski trukli"...

Great luxury hotel!
The chef at the Zinfandels created 2 simply awesome meals to suit my vegetarian needs. 5 stars for the hotel and 25 stars for the chef!!

Really nice hotel, and good services. Unfortunately we stayed there on a Saturday night, and apparently had a room facing their courtyard. Where there was Wedding down. This meant that at night we were put on something reminiscent of living on top of a nightclub.

We are wildly incomprehensible about this because they had lots of more rooms and we got a new one. BUT it's not fun to go up at 1.30 and pack all his stuff to move. We were down and asking when it was over, because we could finally like to sleep soon. It did so at. 5.00

It's a mystery to me why you use those rooms first, ok they were the least, but when you know there is party that we were not part of and there were other rooms.

We were badly disappointed. In total the move at night we got a fake water because we got pretty thirsty. It was then allowed to pay for in expensive judgments the next day when we checked out.

Too bad, because it's nice hotel. It's lovely breakfast and room 2 we got was also really delicious. (The first a little small)

Thinking of testing something else next time we go down to meeting. Unfortunately the one we used to stay at was fully booked and we did not find a new tribal hotel.

Outstanding location Great location great deals and staff ... Especially the female part of the staff is popping up with the quality and the attitude towards the guest ... More expensive alii Too is normal, considering what a hotel is all about for 5.

Our forth long stay at the Esplanade and 3rd visit for the New Year Gala Ball and not once disappointed, amazing food, music, organization and a great way to meet new friends.
The hotel lives up to its 5 star rating in every way although the decor could do with a spruce up.
The restaurants are excellent and probably the finest food in Zagreb, the resident Chef Ana Crgic has been at the hotel for several years and the menus are just amazing. The house wines are excellent and not expensive.
The best thing about the hotel is the staff, always immaculately turned out, very pleasant, helpful and ALWAYS smiling. You really couldn't wish to stay at a better hotel in Croatia. We will be going back!

This is the place to stay in Zagreb if only for a wonderful Esplanade trukli for breakfast . Staff is wonderful giving you a feeling you are indeed welcomed.

One of the luxurious luxury hotels, close to trams and train stations, has its own garage, friendly staff, always clean and neat, high-class hotel!

Like a quaint hotel, you can choose here. One stop of the Oriental train. The hotel parking is not free. The day is 20 euros. There is a public parking lot on the side. If you have a short stop time, you can choose to walk there. Walk about 10 minutes to the old town.

But everything is in their place. The same as I need.

Genuine first class, genuine, fancy and with a fan of bygone, good times.

We stopped by to buy some Zagreb cards. The hotel is very nice and the hotel staff is super helpful. The concierge that day (new year's eve) was very nice and extremely helpful.

I stayed here for a friend s wedding, travelling from London. The Emerald ballroom is one of the most perfect and beautiful settings for a wedding reception I ve ever seen. The staff were all absolutely lovely too, throughout our stay. Definitely recommend.

This was our 5th time staying here and will continue to do so whenever we come to Zagreb.
We really enjoyed the room and the service provided by the excellent staff.

A truly exquisite blend of luxury, style and comfort. All staff were truly friendly, spoke fluent Engish and made us feel welcome. An incredibly marvellous experience throughout!
