Probably the most fancy and upscale hotel in town. Staff always polite and proffesional,even if you drop in just for cofee(which is reasonably priced and not over the top expensive).

This is the best Hotel/cafe/Restoran I have ever been to. Elegant, classy, ultra clean, beautiful, etc, etc. Also, the best customer service I have ever seen. Other hotels should send their people to educate themselves there. Simply the best!!!!

The rooms are fair. Breakfast excelent. No garage parking. Service is very good.

Still the best hotel in Zagreb. It does not feel like a formulaic hotel chain and I love the fact that the General Manager started as a doorman! The bar has a nice atmosphere and they have the best Club sandwiches in Zagreb - I have been going here for 3 years and the sandwich is always consistently good. There is also a nice history to the hotel which was once an overnight stop for the Orient Express. Only comment would be that the rooms could be updated a bit.

A luxury hotel. Worth its 5 stars. The rooms are large. Maybe some places are already in need of renovation, but the location, the breakfast restaurant with a terrace will neutralize everything. The hotel was once built to serve the customers of the Orient express train.

The hotel is of a classic style, the rooms are medium in size and the room service is good, but there is no pool at the hotel
There is a massage health club and a ground floor restaurant with a good garden for breakfast

Beautiful rooms and wonderful polite and helpful staff. The steak in the restaurant was also fantastic

For me, one of the better hotels in Zagreb, perhaps the oldest even. Coffee and cakes of excellent quality, staff friendly young people, unobtrusive and inaudible.

A nice hotel with a profound feeling near the station, made for the Orient Express train. The breakfast was good too. It was a pity that there was a lot of dust on the wall decorations.

Stayed there twice during covid. Nice hotel with charm and decent service. But is it really 5 stars? Rooms need renovation and every little bit that is usually free is charged for (substantially - especially for croatian standard). Gym costs, parking costs ( 20 per day?!)... the list goes on.
At normal room rates i would not stay there again at my own expense.
On the plus side both the bistro and zinfandel serve great food with good service. Might seem overpriced but compared to other places in Zagreb it s worth it if you want to be lazy but especially in summer the zinfandel terrace is great with lots of privacy.

The service was offered without smile and we felt unfriendly but the staffs worked for us seriously.location and interior design was do nice.

Expensive baroque hotel. Nice furniture in pleasant colors. Very clean bathroom, natural stone everywhere, soft towels..Comfortable pillows and mattress.
The hotel is located close to the train station and only 20 minutes walk to the bus station.

Excellent hotel in the central area of Zagreb. Superior category where style and professionalism are a strength. A la carte breakfast and unforgettable buffet. Recommended for a stay in the beautiful Croatian capital. I recommend asking for a room with a view to the outside. The staff does not speak Italian but Croatian and English.

very hard beds, lightweight poor quality mattresses. NO complimentary bottles of water provided but a free boxed chocolate. Strange priority! Our room had a shabby view over the railway line which had noisy diesel engines till late at night.

What a wonderful and classy hotel - where do I begin! Their staff are timely, competent, and kind. The in-hotel restaurants are refined and serve delicious food. I ordered a romantic dinner for two that included a 3-course meal delivered to the room along with a romantic bath drawn by the staff. It was a wonderful to spend our last night's in Croatia (for now).

A beautiful place. In its time it was the hotel for celebrities and rich since it was the hotel of the East Express, this makes it a historical and luxurious place.

The hotel is not bad, that's all what I can say about 5star hotel. Rooms are of standard level, some places need to be repaired. The big disappointment was to see dirty bathroom with hair in the wardrobe :-( and dust everywhere. Can't be accepted for such price! The only positive moment is a good breakfast with friendly staff and variety of dishes.
