We were very surprised by our experience at Bishop's today. We were humiliated by the owner in front of the other customers in the store and asked to sit outside while others continued to come in the store being served. We were the only ppl in the store wearing masks. We also called ahead and were told to come in and we would receive service. Andrew and the other staff members aside from the owner were professional and kind. The owner also shouted to staff members. We were very embarrassed and felt less than everyone else being helped. A family member of the owner who entered the store after us asked if she should also wait outside and the owner told her no that she was fine. 6-8 more customers entered after us and were also helped. We would have been happy to wait and would have understood had someone been at the front monitoring the ammount of ppl in the store instead of singaling us out. We can't commend Andrew more for his professionalism and calmness as he was also being treated rudely by the owner. Thank you Andrew for your help today. You deserve better than how you were treated.
The service I received was excellent. They recommended I schedule for an appt when I called in and that made it easy for same day drop and pickup. My bike rides great now thanks Bishop's!
Great service with knowledgeable staff. However two weeks+ to build a bike (throwing on handle bar + installing the front tire and doing a safety inspection) should not take that long (it had to be built at a shop for warranty purposes). I took it to the Trek store and they built it in few hours.
2 different bike shops; 2 very different experiences:
So it's a strange time for everyone. No disrespect to Smitty's but I thought this was interesting. I stopped by Smitty's (closer to my house) and offered to pay them to swap out one bike seat for another. I'm kinda handy in general but I don't know what it is about bike seats - I always screw something up so I defer to the experts. I thought it would be easier for everyone involved if I simply brought in the stem with the existing seat still attached along with the new seat. I was told by the woman at Smitty's that I'd have to drive back home and retrieve the entire bicycle. ??? Okay, so I called Bishop's and they said no problem - bring it on in. In fact, not only did they not mind that the seat and stem were detached from the bike, they also did the job Johnny-on-the-spot. Oh, and guess what else? They didn't charge me a dime! So to summarize: had I followed orders from Smitty's I would have driven back home, climbed the 25 steps up to my basement to retrieve my bike, reinstall the stem, carry the bike back down those same 25 steps, load the bike back in the truck, drive back to Smitty's, fill out a work order, leave the bike overnight, come back and pick it up the next day or two, and pay for it. Or, I could have had this amazing customer service experience at Bishop's. Which would you prefer?
I love this place. I will cruise right on by Smitty's and everyone else and drive the extra 20 minutes to Bishop's from now on.
Outstanding service experience. I dropped my bike off for a tune-up and received regular text updates on their progress, quick turn-around, and the bike looked like new when I picked it up. Everything looks and works perfectly! Thanks so much Stuart!
Visited the store Saturday, they were very busy and still were able to offer the best customer service and took the time to find the right bikes and helmets for us. Measured us for proper fitment sent us on a test ride and got us on our way to the bike trail. Highly recommend!
Great local bike store! They always have the parts I've needed on hand, they're very friend, and Chris does a great job with fitting. Can't recommend them enough!
By far the best bike shop in Cincinnati and probably the Midwest for that matter. Extremely knowledgeable staff that is courteous, helpful, and considerate. Have taken many challenging problems to them, I build vintage steel bikes, and they have always come through. Special shout out to Chris who has solved even my most difficult issues. He has forgotten more about fixing bikes that I know. Check them out you will not regret it. Tim
Went in today to purchase a new bike and the sales guy was very helpful in fitting me and making sure I was happy. This was all in the middle of the Corona busy season.
Great local bike shop, they'll take good care of you! Bishop's is the oldest bike shop operated under one name in Ohio. There is a reason- great service, quality bikes, and professional repair services. They can tell you if your old bike is worth repairing too.
These guys are really good. I bought a Felt Z85 and love it. No pressure salesman and Chris went for a short ride with me to make sure the bike fit me. Then he fine tuned it with me on it in the store. I would recommend if your looking to get a quality bike that you check these guys out you won't be sorry. Thanks Bishops staff.
I can t say enough good things. Great service. I purposely buy my accessories from them instead of on line just to spend my money at my local small businesses.
Such a cool bike shop, with an awesome selection of goods. The people there really care about their craft. It's one of the last places where it's truly service or profit. I highly recommend.
Love this place. Exceptional service with a hometown vibe. Took a bike here on Saturday for a replacement chain... 10 min repair. Same for a flat tire today. Fair price and good service. Who could ask for more.
I brought in some broken spokes today from a tandem that I bought here years ago. The best they had in stock was a smaller diameter wire, which is not good enough for this heavy bike with two people. They didn't offer to order them, and left me to order them myself online. I have had better service in the past.
Outstanding customer service. Called yesterday to ask about models that were available in store that I could try. I was able to give them my height and while they didn t have any bikes on the floor that were my size and in my budget, they had some in stock that weren t built just yet.
They went ahead and built me a model that was ready first thing this morning for me to test drive.
After all was said and done, I care home with an amazing bike! I m so stoked to ride it! All of the staff is beyond friendly and are extremely knowledgeable about everything bike related! I would 100% recommend them to anyone! They fit you properly and don t let you leave without understand the in s and out s of your new investment!
Thank you so very much for everything!! I WILL be back.
Unfortunately I bought a Jamis bicycle on this site and although it is true they were very kind at the time of purchase I cannot say the same with the after-sales service the bicycle with 30 miles traveled had a fork bearing failure and in two weeks They have only given me excuses and no solution in 15 days is limited to telling me wait.
