The service was good. The food was excellent. We loved watching the traffic go, and the pedestrians walk around the square. While we waited for our food, we read about the history of the different buildings. Don't expect McDonald prices here. It's worth every penny. AND if you order the Chocolate torte cake it's Gynormous! You'll have to share or be prepared to take it home!!

If there was less than one star that is what I would have given. I got a burger with onions cheese , bacon and CANNED Mushrooms not impressed. We also got a full rack of ribs they were cold and pink on the inside. This was not a good experience. Obviously I will not ever be back or will I recommend this place to anyone.

I dropped in for a late lunch. Knew I wanted a basic cheeseburger with onion/pickle and fries (required ordering off the menu but no issue). With coke and taxes the tab was $15. It was excellent as was the service. Nice location on the square. Recommended.

It was rather disappointing. Ordered fish and chips. It was ritz cracker encrusted Mahi Mahi. A frozen fish stick from your groceries freezer would have tasted better. The $15 desert was very dry. Server was very friendly. The atmosphere was pleasant. We won't go back

This place is great as a pub and restaurant.
Good food, drinks and friendly staff. However, for some reason, they quit serving their nachos. C'mon the nachos were a great. They can't be worse than all the bad health food you get at all those caramel whatever frappechino places.
We missed the nachos on this trip to Gettysburg. Bring them back please...

Great and pleasant service. Had the Alfredo Pasta Ceasar salad and cheese bread w marinara sauce. It was great. My son had the open faced need sandwich, forgot the same. It was good and my adult son couldn't eat it all. We each tried a locally made beer and they were good as well. We ate outside and watched the crowds walk by. Beautiful day too.

I first ate at The Pub as an undergraduate in college 45 years ago and have been returning ever since. My experience last night has brought into doubt whether I will ever return. We expected The Pub to be busy and it was. The hostess asked how many were in my party. She then explained I would need to give her my ID or credit card so she could give me the pager (the square type with the lights). I said I was unwilling to hand over my identification at which point she said, "Then I cannot take your reservation." We promptly left. In the age of personal identify theft the management of The Pub has made the incredibly poor decision to ask guests to handover their credentials containing license numbers, addresses, birth dates, credit card numbers, etc.. And these personal credentials are to be handled and stored by a hostess surrounded by dozens of people entering and leaving the restaurant? If The Pub is experiencing theft of their pagers, then use a phone app or some other strategy. Don't ask people to hand over their personal identity credentials for an opportunity to eat at your restaurant.

Make sure you go hungry. The servings are large. The food was made fresh meatball sandwich was one of the best we had and the pinwheel salad was a new take but absolutely worth it

Busy on a Saturday night but the wait was worth it. Great food and drink and service. The house sangria is addictive and the fries and hummus plate were delicious. A bit pricey but I would definitely recommend it.

Outdoor seating was very accommodating during covid precautions. Everything was lit up and welcoming. Staff friendly. Food was delicious and served in large portions-definitely get your monies worth! A must stop!

Though the service was good, if the patron finds thier food unsatisfactory, the pub's policy states you have to pay for it anyway. Location is excellent, and this along with a liquor license will keep them in business.

Good food but don't trust your waitresses. Tried ripping me off by adding 20 to my bill for a tip plus expected me to tip her her. I tipped her.....Tild her she should quit her job because she sucks as a waitress. Good tip right?

Food was brought to table quickly. However had to ask four diffrent people for silverware so we could eat it. All four wandered off never bringing the silverware. After food was getting cold we got it and were able to eat.

Food was pretty good. The bar is where it really shined though. The bartender, Josh, was great to talk too and made me an excellent Manhattan. Great place to relax and have a good drink at the bar.

My family and I had a horrible experience on the 4th of July. We had the unfortunate
encounter with the ignorant manager, Kevin, on duty. He was the absolute worse! He acknowledged the messed up food and service but resulted in NO refund of the mistake and his awful attitude ruined the whole experience of the evening. Our money and time should have gone to a better deserving place. Don't waste your time!

Beautiful, quaint historic pub noted with a menu featuring many generous, mouth watering selections ! We loved it so much we went their two days in a row. Their turkey rueben sandwich and fries was the best I'd ever had. Their desserts are not only extremely generous in portion size, but absolutely delicious. I had the best carrot ever, and will never forget the size of this slice of cake, as it was being brought to our table. I happily enjoyed it for two days ! Make sure you eat at this pub on your visit in Gettysburg, I promise you'll be glad you did...mmm so good...

Popped in for dinner and drinks. Good beer selection and a pretty extensive menu. Had the Maryland crab soup, I m from Maryland and am skeptical of any crab dish not served inside Maryland, and it was actually Maryland style crab soup and it was delicious! Wife had the pizza and that was very good. Definitely would go back.

Ordered a beer. It came with half water. Ordered another and it was the same. The waitress basically said I was crazy and charged me for both even though I didn t drink them. What kind of scam are they running here?

A friend told me about The Pub but it was way better than I expected. The restaurant is beautiful but they have reasonable prices on their food and drinks. Our waiter was awesome, and the crab chowder is the toasted bread bowl was amazing. This may be where I eat every time I go to Gettysburg.

Fantastic service and delicious food! My wife and I have been there numerous times in the past 9 years and we have loved it every time. The place was extremely busy, but our server was attentive and the food service was fast. Can't wait until our next trip to Gettysburg!

My husband and I visited from out of town and found it walking the square. Very wonderful service. Large portions for the price. Dessert was worth it! We would come back again if we were even in town again.

Went here from a recommendation while walking around Gettysburg. This place was great, took a seat at the bar, the bartender was extremely nice and helpful. I had the burger which was great. Price was not bad either. Would come here again

We loved it!!! Atmosphere was great, food was fantastic (with lots of vegetarian selections for veggies like me), and the service was friendly and fast! Excellent chocolate chip cookies to end our meal. Would definitely come back!!

Arrived at Restaurant and asked to sit outside and if we need to give our name--in a annoyed response we were told first come first serve..and waitress rushed off. After waiting and wondering if we would have to confront anyone who arrived after us and tried to sit at the table we were waiting for--we got the table first. After sitting down another waitress showed up with menus and did not see her again for at least 10 minutes--she returned and we asked if we can have some bread--she said there is no bread but can buy some pretzel thing. Ordered drinks came in plastic glasses. Entrees on menu were $25 to $30 and deserts $11--no bread and the drinks are served in plastic glasses? I asked her why the drinks are in plastic glasses--she said because we were outside--I said as we are receiving a different level of service outside are the prices less---she said no.. Finished drink and left...Place is obviously a pigs ear trying to be a silk purse!

I got a recommendation to check out the place for a quick drink with my wife. We ordered drinks and my wife is breastfeeding to our 4 month old child. And told the bartender not once but three times for a non-alcohol drink, which soda got mentioned twice, however she left our trusted bartender up with a creative decision. After drinking for a bit, her stomach started to hurt like she was drinking something with alcohol, which we found out was true. Started google everything with breastfeeding and accidentally drinking alcohol. A lovely manager wanted to know what they can do, with the offer of getting baby formula. But we politely declined and asked for more water. After calming down with calculating less then 1 milliliter was drank and her stomach was thankfully really sensitive. The bartender gave me a bill for my drink, with the manager no where to be found... Which i paid.....

The soup was disappointing, as well as the questionable service. The ambiance and decor made up for it. I chose a burger because I was unsure about spending so much money on something I may not enjoy. The building has both a lively bar and a dining area. It was consistently busy, but not without tables.
