It is a beautiful hotel. Each room is unique and different. Our room was a single room that overlooked the street. Our friends room has a sitting room with library and fireplace in addition to their bedroom. The hotel was very beautifully decorated for Christmas and the staff was amazing. It is in a good location to enjoy the shops downtown and a short walk away from the lake. There is a restaurant on site with a cozy bar. Hallways are winding and fun to explore. It maintain the vintage integrity while keeping it classy and well appointed.

It doesn't live up to its glorious past. Hallways are noisy, pillows are lumpy, and the building and it's facilities require a refresh. Service was adequate however considering the hotel was fully booked. There are better hotels nearby for a comparable price.

Had afternoon tea in the tea room at the Prince of Wales. Was a lovely experience. Great room perfect for conversation. Delicious food and the server was professional, attentive and discrete. I've been to tea in high end hotel in London UK, and I would say this was a very similar experience. Highly recommend!

I went for afternoon tea once and was blown away by the experience and just the whole ambiance but I booked a night for my parents anniversary and I told them not to disclose the rate which they did causing a huge ordeal between my parent and I. On top of that I ordered a fruit platter to be in the room upon arrival but it ended up being 3 slices of fruit....was extremely disappointed especially for the price I paid

My friend highly recommended this high tea, so we took a long way to get to here. When we arrive they told us no more table due to reservations, however, we did call them the day before but nobody answered, we explained to the front desk and she squeezed us in.
It was $48/person, choose your tea first, and the food are based on the amount of ppl. The taste is good, especially the scones and tuna sandwich. If you near Niagara Fall, go with your besties and enjoy a lovely afternoon tea.

A tired old hotel chain. Out of touch with customer service. Our bed was very poorly made prior to check in. We messaged the front desk and were assured the manager would follow up. I still have the photos ! They are over priced for what they are offering. Dont waist your hard earned money. And forget about having a comfortable sleep. The room was hot and would not cool down below 77 celcius. At check out customer service never came up ! Oh and the difference between our check out bill and the hold was just absurd. Over charge me for what we got but I draw the line at being ripped off !!! They processed a charge of double our stay rate as a hold back. Never explained at check in. Please dont waist your money at this place.

The prince of Wales is located on the main Street of Niagara on the lake. The room we stayed in had just been renovated, and in fact we were the first ones to stay in the room. We had issues with getting into our room on time, however the hotel manager resolved our issues. He went above and beyond to make it up to us. The food at the restaurant was delicious and we also visited the tea room. The tea room was incredibly decorated and offered an array of interesting teas.

Best high tea I ve ever had!

Best high tea I ve ever had!
Love their tea, they will offer you a tea box let you smell those types of the tea then choose the one you like.
Also, they have several choices of high tea, we just chose the traditional one.
And the environment is sooooo nice.
The prices are affordable and not really expensive like other places for high tea. The traditional afternoon tea is 36 per person. You can also order wine here.
They also offer the little princess/prince menu for children and it s $17 I think

Lovely tea in the drawing room. Sandwiches and desserts were more than enough, service was pleasant but not obtrusive. Hostess was flustered and we had to come back and wait in line again, after arriving 15 minutes before our reservation. Was seated 30 minutes after our reservation. Wasn't thrilled about that, but rest of experience was lovely.

We thought this hotel was extremely over priced. The rooms and hallways need updating. The toilet seat in our bathroom was loose and needed to be replaced. Lamps in the room were dated and dirty. The employees were friendly and helpful. Otherwise I would have given it one star. I guess you pay for the convenience of being right in the center of the activity. Not impressed!

My wife and I stayed here for a night and it was a wonderful experience. The level of service is top notch, all of the staff are friendly, patient and willing to help make your stay a great as it can be. Our suite was clean and beautiful, and our stay was made even more pleasant being able to enjoy the fresh flowers and warm fire in our room.

I took my wife here for breakfast as we usually do when in the area and the service was terrible. Not only did we wait a long time for our server to come take our order, she was slow and disinterested. This ruined our entire breakfast. Not sure if we will be back.

Had a spa treatment, enjoyed the pool and hot tub and the high tea in the Drawing Room. We stayed at a sister hotel, the Queens Landing, and could charge everything to our room there which is super convenient! The drawing room was a gorgeous setting for any meal.

I've visited all of the Vintage hotels in Niagara on the Lake and the Prince of Wales was by far the best. The customer service and food was excellent, and the hotel and room itself were beautiful!

The service was ok. However seemed under staffed. When we arrived after 3pm we were told the room wasn't ready and shouldn't be long and to wait in the lobby. 45 minutes later it was ready. There seem to be many other people waiting for there room as well.
Next morning went for breakfast at the restaurant. Again they were under staffed. Took 15 minutes to be served coffee. The food and coffee were good and due to the wait the previous day, we received breakfast at no charge so that was nice. The hotel is old fashion but that was expected. Best thing was the location. Right near all the stores and restaurants.

Stayed on a Friday night with my girlfriend. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room (luxury king) was clean and spacious. We had candlelight tea in the Drawing Room, which was lovely. And a rose was delivered to our room around dinner time. An excellent experience overall

Exceptional service, quality and value.

Exceptional service, quality and value.
We couldn't ask for more.
The tea room, the bar and the restaurant all fabulous.
The food in the restaurant is the highest quality.
Valerie our server made it a treat and beyond enjoyable.
Our room was a touch of royalty.
Everything is top shelf.
Horse and carriage ride a must.
Rooms more than expected and quite functionally opulent.
We had gone in what is traditionally viewed as the off season and gotten the romance package which includes local but beautiful champagne by Trius and. A wonderful full bodied red from Chateau de Charmed (also from Niagara On The Lake) a dozen Long stemmed roses and the afore mentioned carriage ride with tour guide.
The king bed was that, in size and in comfort level.
The cucumber based soaps and lavish lotions appeased my wife tastes as well.
Even the lobby is very royal in appearance with Parkway designed wooden floors and stained glass windows.
The service is spectacular.
I've been all through Canada and yet was still very impressed by this establishment.
Bow to the Prince.
We intend on making this a tradition!!!

I visited the hotel today to enjoy the 2 for 1 high tea. The scones and desserts where so delicious and beautifully display.
The sandwiches where fresh and delicious. I didn't care for the turkey salad on a cossant. The atmosphere was incredible and would highly recommend the experience. Missed the egg salad and smoked salmon sandwiches

Really enjoyed the atmosphere during the High Tea. The sweets, and tea were delicious. The sandwiches were a bit dry, but I would go again if I get the opportunity to do so. The scones with clotted cream and jam are epic! YUM.
