I had my mail box here because it's pretty close to my work but I have trouble picking up large packages because I'm working during their operation hours. So I had to move my mailing box somewhere else! But I still love the convenience, fast & friendly service that they offer so I continue to use this Post Office on my days off when I need to mail out any package. They have passport service at this location so it's even more convenient for people who need to mail out packages or to update their passports for travel!
When you don't have time to make many stops for a greeting card, postal stamp & mail! No worries! They have a large selection of greeting cards for most occasion; making your one stop shop easy & faster when you're trying to mail out for a loved one or two!
One of the best post offices in OC. I've been coming here for years and so far not a single issue. I always drop off for receipt and everyone is nice, friendly, and courteous. This place is slightly bigger than avg so usually enough parking and spacious inside even when very busy. When busy, the line goes pretty fast and there is a manager or someone who comes by offering assistance to those that may need it. Everyone I remember like Mr. Flores, Jeff, Mr. Le, Su, Kumar, Dominique, David, and rest are all nice, helpful, and fast. I recommend getting drop off receipt everytime you drop off a package, you're usually able to get one on the right side counter and bypass the main line.
They kept forgetting of deliver my packages even though their status said out for delivery. What the hell?? Happened quite a lot recently !!!!!

I prefer to come to this location. Not easy to find parking some days & inside line can be long. Not a problem the staff get things done quickly even on a very busy day.
The staffs are nice but the guy picking up package, he is very rough and does not want to help customer. I had few bad experiences with him.

This place has lost at least 9 packages of mine + actual mail and the carrier consistently lies and tells the office he delivered the items or we picked them up etc. Either he is leaving our mail with someone else or he's stealing it. I don't care which, but the office doesn't care, they just tell you to "file a claim" but because the carrier says we got it, his word somehow trumps ours. So we're out hundreds of dollars in items with no way to get some of them back (discontinued items, specialty orders, etc). This place is just a big joke. Nobody cares, nobody wants to help. Avoid at all costs if you can.
Always marks mail as delivered but is held at the post office. Mail carrier constantly lies, saying we requested the package to be held.

Awful. The woman Luanu as it was spelled on the paper they sent out to me was a complete you know what. Has not contacted myself or the original sender like she said. My package was never ever ever delivered to my house and unfortunately there was no insurance but the point is that they said they delivered it and I was home all day and the mailman who delivers packages never showed up. They have been more than rude with me as I deal with this issue for the past several weeks. I am going to write a formal complaint and have already called consumer complaints and several other people. Whoever is working there will not be working there soon because I do not stop. I don't want the money or the package anymore, I want those responsible fired including that one woman. Those people have given USPS a bad name and its sad because the was not the first package this has happened to in this location. Completely disappointed in their lack of service and intelligence.

Waited for over an hour manager is very rude, pompous and has an attitude. Most of the other staff is accommodating. Just try not to have to deal with the manager you will regret it. If you need to speak with a manger try another location instead.

If you're doing anything besides sending mail, you're going to have a long wait. We waited an hour at the pick up window after being sent there and nobody came out or even asked how they could help. We had to ask for a manager before anyone helped us

Everyone at the post office is super helpful and friendly. Clerk names Kumar really went out of his ways to help me save money to send package during busy holiday season. With his help I saved $30 on shipment.
Always crowded and parking is a mess. The best thing about this location is that it is open on Saturday.
I was there in late May 2019 and the clerk accused me of putting tape across the stamps. The clerk had his glasses on top of his head and did not even bother to use his glasses to inspect the stamps. I firmly told the clerk that the stamps were on top of the tape and that the tape was used to secure the envelope closed. Customer service is not something that this clerk was familiar with. I spoke to the supervisor and the supervisor told me that he always backs up his clerks. If you want customer service at the post office, use the Brea post office on Randolph Street, or the Grand Avenue post office in Santa Ana, or the Tustin post office on First Street. They have experienced clerks who can give you the personal touch and courtesy. And they use their glasses when they need to. (I purposely did not give the name of the clerk at the garden grove post office.)
Most of the time the line is out the door, and there are like 2 windows open, the staffs sure take their times too. Obviously the managers aware of busy hours and seasons, and did nothing. Picking items and mails rule is confusing. Sometime the item-window has person, you need to go there to pick item up, if you choose the regular line they refuse to help you and tell you get RESTART your line over at item-pick-up-window (geez thx for not let people know sooner) The problem is the pick-up-window not always has people, so if you assume they do you can start there waste your time. Do you see the problem here? disorganize
PLEASE be careful when shipping important packages to and from here. I came in to pick up my package on the date that it was stated to be delivered and spoke to Rudy an employee there. He couldn't find the package. He asked for my phone number to call in case it popped up. Hours later he calls me to tell me that it has been found and I could pick it up at any time. I came back 3 days later (from being out of town) to pick it up and ONCE AGAIN he tells me that the package is not there. I ask him what I could do in this case because I paid a lot of money for the item and he stated "it's simple and easy. just call the company you bought it from and tell them we lost it." Rudy was extremely rude, unhelpful and seemed like he knew nothing about the rules and regulations. At that point I had no other choice but to leave and file a claim to the company. An hour later, I get another call from the supervisor telling me that they found the package. Although the supervisor was very nice and apologetic and even offered to have the package sent here, it will not change how I feel about this usps location.
The vietnamese guy here is hilarious. He makes people laugh and is super friendly. We never mind waiting in a long line coz we get entertained by him. We need more people like him in this world.

I have started to call the USPS to run investigations ,If there is a negative rating, I surely will save my 1 star to this post office I'm very upset right now , this is the second time within 2 months that they lost my package this place have the worst service ever!!! The guy in charge of the pick up packages is not very helpful. He rudely cut you off while you're talking and assume what your about to say. I came to the office to ask for the details of my lost package. The man said: " come back tomorrow. The supervisor will be here, then report to him",,,,,,,,,,,,,I'll be issuing a formal complaint and filing claims..

I had 4 huge boxes to ship and Hue was very helpful and made the task much easier. He was pleasant, friendly and concerned about the cost. Hue made it a much easier transaction than I was afraid it would be.
Terrible, terrible place. Their phone has had a busy signal for the past two weeks. Even when it was working, they never answered to begin with. I've had 2 packages stolen or delivered by them, and they never want to take responsibility for it. I even have proof of the wrong signature on my latest package. I wish I could route my mail somewhere else, because this place is crap.
Horrible service here. They stopped delivering mail to my business because the mailbox got full. Took all of my mail out and left a handwritten note inside my box saying "don't deliver box is full. I haven't gotten any mail since.

you people don't understand that you aren't the only person getting a package. the world does this it stop for one person waiting to get their vibrator in the mail. plus now with online retail booming, and FedEx, dhl, epackets, and many other delivery services dumping their jobs onto USPS cuz "since they're going there anyways..." you have to realize how much more work is piled on the low cost mailing services they provide to everyone. just remember, it's snail mail. slow and steady wine the race.
At this locatioon I've always received excellent service. Bern patronizing this Garden Grove, CA Post Office for 25 + years.
I've never had a problem with USPS until I moved to Garden Grove. The first time I went here, the line was out the door and I was there for 30 mins hoping to make a quick drop off. My second problem is with the postmaster and 35 year veteran carrier. Both have refused to deliver my mail because we had to move it closer to the door due to stolen mail and for my disabled father.
Is there any way to report such horrible service?
it is very hard to get any one phone when your mail comes up missing to fine out where it is. hold time on the phone was 20 min so far its been 50 min still listing to some music
They keep losing my mail. At least one package per month in the last year. It will end up at their facility and never leave it.

I've only dealt with one person and he's always nice and in a pleasant mood. He's the guy who will take your pre-paid packages on the far right corner. As for everyone else, I can't say personally but they seem okay.
Parking here can be bad it's a way lane with 2 sides to park on. All parking spots are narrow so be cautious of parking when it's busy.
Great experience! The service was fast, and the employees work hard to speed up the line. The person helping doing the passports is an extremely hard worker trying to get everyone through as fast as possible. I would definitely recommend this post office. With that said, avoid Mondays which is the most busy day for passports.

Called their phone number half a dozen times over a twenty minutes, busy. Finally got through, phone rang about fifteen times and I was disconnected.
I like this location. They are very helpful and try to keep things moving without being pushy or rushing me. Plus I can do alot myself in the outer lobby self shipping area. I can buy stamps without even going inside. The line to diy is always shorter than inside or still open for awhile after the retail counter is closed.
This place has the worst service. Who's managing this place? First off, they never deliver my parcel packages - even if they don't require signature. They automatically leave the Redeliver notices and don't even bother trying to leave it on my front porch or anything. I have to constantly hunt for my mail packages. Further, I just tried calling their office and it rang and rang and it finally went to a busy signal. So, I tried recalling repeatedly and now it's on busy signal. It's like someone got tired of the phone ringing and they just unhooked it or something. Anyway, it's sad to see that this place is employed with people that don't want to do their jobs.
They have the worst service here. I was in the middle of a transaction and it took all the employees to help another customer. Please train your employees or only have one person training the untrained employee rather than having every person servicing a guest to leave their post to help one untrained employee.
If I could I would give 0 stars. They claim to have delivered a package it never arrived. I called usps they said only amazon and express packages are sent on Sundays. My package was neither. I called about Idk 50 times. They answered twice and said they would call back one of those times. They didnt. I asked the receiver to go see if maybe they would do something more than nothing. The supervisor said it was probably stolen after about one minute. That is unacceptable. I am very upset

I am very very disappointed and pissed off with the postal service period. It's a shame when you have employees who get paid all that money and can't do their job. I Live in Chicago shipped a package to garden Grove california to a company. My package was supposed to get too the company March 28,2016 been tracking it and paid all this high postage only for my package to show it's out for delivery and then no update for a week. Only too look Today and see my package is being returned for so called wrong address which is the correct address. I thought Chicago postal system was screwed i see it's everywhere. I want my package to go too the company it's addressed too and for your employees to stop being lazy people spend their hard earned money .
I have been coming to this location for many years. It has been a clean place very orderly and often staffed with bright people friendly an efficient. However it can be very busy during the morning hours and late closing hours. My only complaint is that the envelopes and cartoons for priority mail are often low in resource or empty. This might be attributed to the large amount of people that do come here and may have small businesses that often require the use of the envelopes packages and cartons needed to send mail. One of the benefits also is that they have a Lobby that is open during close office hours in which you can bye postage through their online machine create labels on their online machine and also drop off packages in their large bin container. I would give this place a four out of five stars. Also lots of parking is available
Supervisor of carriers refuses to allow mail delivery to residence because mailbox moved to house from curb to accommodate handicapped resident. NO ANIMALS AT THIS ADDRESS!

I had a very unpleasant experience at this location today as well as last week.
Staff are complete useless. I want to file a claim but my tracking doesn t work online, so call the 1800USPS line and they said specifically to go in person and ask for a form from either supervisor or manager and they will help file it with you. The supervisor however act like a total jerk and just hand me a paper and smile and said go away and go call USPS without helping at all. Total waste of time talking to him. USPS should hired an entire new front desk staff. It s a shame u guys are our local postal service.
The postal worker that now has the blake street route is lazy and has a horrible attitude. I've asked to pick up mail when he goes back to his truck because he's running late from over sleeping under a shade tree, and he says no I have to wait. And if I come see him on his route again he'll call the cops and tell them I'm intimidating him. Now, after that confrontation I called his supervisor who completely ignored my complaint. Then today I come home to pick up my check, which comes every other Saturday like clockwork, is now not in the mail. And no one answers the phone at the office.

Was in to send christmas gifts before work. Only had fifteen min and was done in ten with a long line. One worker was helping customers while they were in line and woman at counter was more pleasant than could have asked for. God Bless our local mailmen / women. Merry chrismas usps .

Sunday is closed but the lobby is open and has a kiosk to tcob. Works just great to self service express or priority. Clean and fast. Po box and Dropbox all open on Sundays. Its the only main branch that's open on weekends for limited self-service.
Went in there and they weren't even open for the passport . They should update the schedule time open on the website. So people won't be waiting 30mins fyi. I went because I saw the time at 8:30am not 9am

Rude staff, my mail box was full so they take it back, the mail carrier left me a sticky note without date or more info other than box full. I asked her where to get it and she gave me this location address so I stopped by today and they said don't have anything to wait at home they might return it back, and I said well the mail carrier told me that's not an option, then the office guy told me then dont complained is your fault why let it full... yes I know is my fault but he doesn't know if I was dying in the hospital. And since then 9/12 they haven't delivered any mail to my house.. I called like 20 times to the postal service manager and they don't answer is just a voice message operator with a few steps to do but nothing related to my issue...

So, the 1 stars is for the initial experience I had when walking up to one of the clerks to help me. Vietnamese lady was very snark. I didn't get her name but you couldn't miss her, with all that plastic surgery. I don't go to the post office much, and was sending out a couple of packages. I didn't have the labels on them because my mistake, I thought they would input it for you. So I bring the packages up to her and she stares at me, and then with a snarky attitude shes says "you're not ready?" I say "oh, I thought you guys input the information?" She looks at and me in disbelief and ridicule, as if had done something so unexceptable and says "hah, what do you mean? We don't do that, hah?" She kept staring at me like I was beneath her. I was so over it, I just took my stuff and grabbed labels and got in line again. She didn't assist me with anything, just gave me a bunch of weird looks. The second time around I got Judy, the chinese lady...and thank God for that! She was so sweet, so helpful, so kind. She helped me out with everything in a polite manner. I couldnt send of one of the packages because used an old wine box and she helped me find one of the free boxes that would fit. Again, Im kind of a newbie, but Judy treated me with respect and dignity. I'd give Judy 10 stars if I could. I hope they get rid of the other lady though. Side note: I'm vietnamese

By far one of the coolest and friendliest post offices I've been too. All clerks are nice and respectful, the atmosphere is great, and there's never a struggle.
Quick and easy. Its a bit slow sometimes, but employees are friendly and nice, willing to help out.
