Absolutely love the Phoenix Zoo. Could be bigger and offer segways for those that dont wanna walk the whole zoo.
We've been members for over 3 years and it's definitely worth it. We live 7 minutes away so it's a fun place to bring our 3 year old to learn and have a little fun at one of the 4 play areas they have. A great place for family.
Love the Phoenix Zoo. They are always adding onto it. Been coming here for years with the family. If you don't like walking they have a guided tour on a train that will take you around the zoo.
Great place. Loved the Zoo lights so much family fun.
Zoo lights was very good. They have redone them and they were great.
Its beautiful I really hope if you come out to Arizona definitely come to this zoo
It was a good 1st time experince. The people working there were nice.
I wish they had better package deals for the photos/pictures
The zoo is peaceful and a great family fun place!!!
Went in 2009, had to share with my son this time around.
Excellent! Loved it! Very friendly enclosures for the animals.
Great exhibits. Long line for tickets, recommend buying on Groupon to bypass the ticket window.
The planning, hard work and dedication of everyone here shines through everywhere you go. Nice work, all. Proud to be longtime members!
My daughter and I went here and it was great! I hadn't been in a while so it was nice to see all the animals and attractions.
Well laid out zoo. Spend the extra 5-6 bucks to feed the giraffes, that's a pretty cool experience (select times only). There is some shade, but go early before it gets too hot as otherwise it won't be that enjoyable.
I went to the Phoenix Zoo with my little one for a field trip. It was a great experience! Very clean and friendly staff!
Views are great, employees are very helpful. Prices are high
You can pet stingrays and goats! All you need to know
Great selection of animals but there is lots of walking
Amazing zoo. Great for kids because of the two splash pads
So happy y all are open! Great time with my granddaughter!
Elbow to elbow people...waited an hour and 15 min. To get in. But worth the bail of hay contribution for tickets.
Great walk and way to tire out the kids while seeing animals. Lots of people not wearing masks though... Not sure why. Though its easy to get away with how big the place is. Stay home if you cant risk being sick...
This place is great but don't go in the summer. This zoo is large and you will not survive the walking around in the heat!
This place was pretty amazing. The paths to get from each animal exhibit were very well planned out. It was nice, because some of them were just dirt paths so you aren't walking on cement all day. There are plenty of things to see with a general admission ticket, but there are also other attractions that you can pay more to do/see.
We did not go in but loved they adapted to current situation with a drive through visit.
Good for a day trip. A membership pays for itself in 2 trips for 2 adults and a toddler
Zoo lights was amazing. They definitely packed all the good stuff at the front. But beautiful.
Wonderful zoo, I was impressed with this same one, all the areas are really fabulous and entertaining, I was impressed.
Zoo lights were incredibly beautiful. Great family time!
A field trip me and my daughter and my wife we had a lot of fun
Not too big, very accessible, and big variety of animals
The zoo was absolutely lovely. This was the first time I'd been "out" in months. I felt very safe, as it was evident the proper precautions were being taken. The zoo itself is very well maintained and many of the animals were active when I was there! The only complaint that I have is that the bottled water from the vending machines was insanely expensive. Definitely bring your own. I had an absolutely wonderful time!
Good Zoo! the safari area with the animals roaming together is cool!
Decided on Phoenix Zoo instead of World Wildlife after seeing the prices. My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed it! We spent 4 hours there and I think we saw everything. The Giraffe feeding exhibit looked cool but we didn t do that ($6 a person). It was sad that the rhino wasn t outside and the elephants were also gone/not visible. Also, coyote area was under construction so they were missing too. They re creating a theatre and a few other things so there was a lot of construction overall but when that s all finished it will be even better.
The Forest of Uco was so gorgeous and the areas around it. It seemed like other visitors were skipping those trails but it was like you stepped into a rainforest felt exotic! Our favorite exhibit was orangutans and monkeys. We used a Groupon ($20/person) and we definitely got our money s worth! Highly recommend!
The Phoenix zoo is a lovely place. Great exhibits for local wildlife and distant wildlife. I love their cage-free island exhibit of lemurs and monkeys. And member services have been really great to us. Our membership was so worth it because we can bring a friend each time! Highly recommend, especially in the cool months!!
This place is amazing. They have 2 different splash pads. One has slides and a cave with waterfalls.
Great park, very friendly staff. It can get hot so bring lots of water but awesome place overall!
Visited when they were setting up lights, was able to get some good photos. I do wish they would focus a bit more on conservation but staff is friendly and animals were a bit active.
The Phoenix Zoo is an awesome zoo that promotes conservation and ecology. There is a ton for kids to do.
Beautiful casual walk through the Zoo viewing the many amazing light displays and BIG BUGS.
Not as I expected. Most animals were inside even though it was a beautiful 70 degree day.
Saw the zoo lights and it was incredible! A great display of lights sync'd to music, animated animal lights and beautifully lit trees. Highly recommended!
The only reason we came here was to go on the camel I was so excited but disappointed that the employees wouldn t use my camera to take the photo, we paid $14 to ride it and the cost of using the zoo camera would of been even more. I almost didn t get to ride it but luckily other customers came and they gladly took my photo. I do think we should get more time on the camel, we only got to do 2 circles and then we had to get off. Less than 2 minutes for $15 doesn t seem good but I got what I wanted.
We had an annual pass for three years and loved going to the splash pad, seeing the monkeys, going to the farm area and petting the goats and so much more! Loved it!
Understanding the current times some exhibits are closed but not many animals we awake or active. I could have had more action watching NatGeo but would have saved $50+
This non-profit zoo is a wonderful place to visit, learn, exercise and relax. The staff and volunteers are friendly. And the animals seem well cared for and generally happy.
A great time. Went to Zoolights and the Big Bugs Exhibit. It was an awesome experience.
Probably 1 of the best zoo's in the United States. Must see!
Took my grandkids to the zoo for the first time. My grandson (just turned 3) was facinated by the Komodo dragons and milking the 'cow'. His take from milking the cow was 'cows pee milk'.
The animals look sad/depressed in their small habitats.
An excellent zoo, friendly staff and wide variety of animals.
I had the best time ever I will never forget it I definitely will be going again now that's what I call a real zoo
Really good zoo and should see if in Phoenix a must to visit.
My family and I did the, Cruise the Zoo and enjoyed it. We were able to see most of the animals and enjoyed the audio tour. The zoo should consider doing this more often. Having the a/c in the car was nice luxury considering how hot it was.
Zoo lights was so much better here than at the Denver Zoo
It was my first time there that I petted a stingray even though I was afraid to touch stingrays cause of the tragedy that happened to The Crocodile Hunter: Steve Irwin (R.I.P. 1962-2006) when he was killed by a stingray that pierced his heart with it's barbs.
