The food here is awesome. Loved the slaw on the fish tacos. Others at my table said the tri tip was great. Wonderful service.

Decent service, normal wait time, but portion size for this $18 world famous fish and chips was ridiculous. Did I order the child's size? Fish was a little larger than a McDonald's chicken nugget. The menu pricing is OVER THE TOP. $16 for burgers, $10 for chowder. I'll be going to another local restaurant next time I'm in town.

We always come here when visiting pacific city. A little hard to find parking but worth the struggle. A little hike up cape Kiwanda and then a stop at the brewery for a victory beer and clam chowder is always a win. Usually a long wait on a nice day to get a table, but they have patio chairs on the side that you can sip a beer and wait while enjoying the beach views right in front.

Food was not up to par. And the beer sucked. Service was over friendly. The food was overpriced. Will not return.

I m amazed at all the shining reviews of this place. They were totally misleading. You would think being on the coast the quality of seafood (few choices as there were) would be outstanding, not so at this place. I had fish tacos which I couldn t even use the tortillas as they fell apart and I couldn t find any flavor in the fish unless rubber is a flavor. The quinoa salad was unexpected. I missed slaw which generally goes with fish tacos. However the 3 people with me had slaw with fish and chips, none of them enjoyed any of their less-than-mediocre and way overpriced meals.

We had a good experience here. It's a nice location. We waited a while for our server but once we brought that to her attention she was genuinely apologetic and friendly. After that the service was reasonably quick. We both really enjoyed our burgers and beer. Amazing fries!

Lyndella is a genuine JEWEL, Potbelly flatbread was out of this world, I had the pelican Indian Pale Ale which was superb, and so is the hazy. Great vibe, excellent service, fantastic food! Plus you gotta love the view!

Food and service is always good!! Dave the bartender always makes the visit worth coming back, he is a true assest of Pelican Brewing co.

Hit or miss.. Been going here for years. Sometimes the food is good and sometimes its just awful.. one good thing the beer is always good!

Solid food and beer, great service from hostess and our server. Amazing view at sunset. Only real downer was the bartender while we waited for our table. All business, zero friendliness.

Rude hostess, wouldn t let me take my child to the bathroom, told us that she can go in bathroom in the parking lot, she s six and I m a female and it was dark out with no lighting. Talk about sketchy and not ok but once we were seated I asked our waiter (who went above and beyond for us) if they had a restroom besides the one in the parking lot, he looked at me confused and was like ya right around the corner. Everyone besides my waiter was rude and mean. I ll never EVER return and the food wasn t good at all either.

The beer is really good, but we were enjoying some beers on the patio and eventually after a couple hours they began to close. We finished our beers and brought our glasses back and had to use the restroom before leaving. An individual guy with a ponytail graciously took the glasses back but even though there were still people in the bar, he told us that we could not utilize the restroom and simply shut the door on us. Pelican is nice and the view is great but the service after several times of being there is simply overrated.

Went in to buy some merchandise since I love the brand. Rude staff. Bad experience would never go here again.

The view was awesome, but it just wasn't quite as good as I wanted it to be... It had the feeling of a corporate chain when you want it to feel like a local laid-back brewery.

Good hoppy IPAs. Amazing scenery. Lots if food hamburger was great, chicken sandwich a bit dry. All in all a great experience!

Love, love, love this place. Great bar / pub fair and fantastic selection of beer. Directly on the beach in Pacific City. You can not go wrong here. Make it is must see if you are any where near here!

Amazing view. The food was just ok, and on the pricey side.

Great views of the ocean. Amazing beer with several options and styles. The bottled reserves are smoking! Especially the brun. They had several vegan options. The pizza is wonderful. Staff is friendly and attentive overall. The hostesses seem a little lost sometimes though. But we stopped here several times over a three day vacation and it was great each time

The menu is short and overpriced. Which would had been ok had any of the food we ordered tasted good. The tortilla for the tacos came wrapped in foil on the plate. Half of the calamari was breaded banana peppers. The waitress was nice. They text you when your table is ready which is nice. And they call out your groups name when they are ready to take you back, except for us. My husband got 5 mins heads up text. So we got up and got ready and waited and waited. They have one hostess stand with 3 people standing around to help one person or group at a time and there s pretty much always a line of people trying to get a table. Finally when I got their attention and told them it s been way past 5 minutes, the hostess response was oh we were waiting for you to check in ...... overall it was a 3/10 experience for us.

It was okay. Noting I would write home to mom about, but the portions were large and the wait time for a table was not bad. The staff seemed a little new or just not interested. I am a huge clam chowder person and could not wait to taste this at the ocean - since it helps (in my opinion) and was let down by this variety. It felt very potato heavy and I couldn't even tell if there was clam in it or not. The calamari was okay , but serviced without lemon. It was cooked with some yummy spicy peppers and that was a bonus we were not expecting. Overall it was okay - I was glad the place was there, but next time will try something else.

Had vegan and gluten free options which is awesome! Was very busy but wait was manageable. A must see on the coast!

Certainly one of my favorite destination breweries. Great view, excellent beer and food. It is a bit pricey, but it has one of the most beautiful views one could ask for. Staff is friendly, and attentive. It does tend to get a bit busy in the summer, but the wait is never long.

This is a MUST GO place! Staff, off the hook GREAT! Our waitress La.......MARY! Was the best. She made us feel like we had just come to some friends house for dinner, THE BEST! Now the food, DELICIOUS, no lie! My husband had the 14hr tritip, me ceaser salad with tri tip
O man best ceaser salad I have ever had, because of the melt in your mouth tri tip. We were fortunate enough to sit on the patio, the sun set w the Haystack rock. Man can't say enough. Make this a go to spot if your going to the Oregan Coast.

Very good beer. Especially enjoyed the Pelican IPA. Nice atmosphere with outdoor seating in warm weather. Tried the sampler (flight), seven 3 oz shots (21 oz total) for $7 or $8. They even have a 10 serving sampler (30 oz total) for a few bucks more.
My only gripe, is no table service...which isnt all that bad, but the "server" walks past your order, out to your table screaming your name. If its busy...she ends up walking up to your table only to tell you your order is ready and then you follow her back where your order awaits. Then bus your own table. I wondered if I shouldn't have tipped so much! Oh welll...fun and interesting place. Too bad they dont have local fish for their fish and chips. They do have local raw oysters, though. Nice place to grab some local brews and a snack after a day of exploring the area. Find a favorite and get a six pack to take home.

Beer is cold and tasty. Nice location on the beach in pacific city. Lettuce wraps were delicious.

What a location! Decent beer, friendly service, impressively unimaginative playlist but if you're a nut for the most played (out) of classic rock you'll love it!!

First off the View is Beautiful... The pelican Brewing company is very nice.. Was greeted very pleasantly.... Had the Bowl of delicious chowder with a fresh garden salad..
The cocktail was on the Sweet side. But it is a Brew house.... After eating a great meal take a walk on the beautiful Oregon coast right off the deck....

Went to lunch here on Saturday 2/22/19. The food was great until both my girlfriend and I got sick. (We are guessing it was the clam chowder since that was the only common food we had.) The service was great and she was super friendly. The other problem with this place was they are not set up to handle large events. We were sat at a bar height table right by the line for the bar and I could not count how many times people bumped into me while I was eating. If you go here do not accept bar height tables and definitely don't go here when there is an event happening.

The best place in Pacific City. Right on the beach with an awesome view of "Hay stack Rock". Super busy during the tourist season. Limited menu helps keep the food flowing. They have a outside order and pick up window for Covid restrictions.

Good beer as always. The burger was good and the roasted chicken was really good too. They have takeout options at their take our window too.

Had a chance to give this place another try. Service has improved as has the food. Still not cheap.
Seems to be a good option for larger groups but expect a wait.

This place is a beautiful location and my husband and I got to watch the sunset from the window. Our waitress was very nice and gave us some places to see while we were on vacation in Oregon. The food was alright, but it was a bit over priced for what you received. The restaurant was super busy (it was a Sunday evening.) We got put on a waitlist at 6, got sat at our table and ordered food at 6:40 and didn't pay our bill until 8. Be prepared to wait.

They sell their 22's at good price minus 10% if you buyb6 bottles. Don't go to Rogue, they offer no discounts. I got dirty bird 22 for 3.00 ea minus 10% for 6 bottles. Most of the food served is frozen, remember, you are at brewery.

Waitress was very rude and rolled her eyes and got upset when we asked for straws.

The beer is great, the food is alright and the view spectacular.

I have been here before and ate . Food is okay , but parking is absolutely insane . People that go to the beech and restaurant share the same parking. I would advise to come 30 mi items early .

Alaskan Cod served on the Oregon coast, literally in view of the ocean, even the local Mexican restaurant serves local Halibut. This should have been a pretty good indication of what we were in for. Spotty service, overpriced tiny portions. Would not recommend.

Used to be our go to while in Pacific City. The beer options are great, the views are killer, and the service is usually good. Always a wait list and the food is average especially for the price. Bartenders are always great, they have worked there for years and we try to sit at the bar as they have friendly staff behind the bar.

Really long dinner wait for what didn't seem to be that busy. Not worth the hour wait, but enjoyed some great beers while waiting.

As for beers, I am especially fond of the Kiwanda Cream Ale. As for food, not much except the special buffet we had. It was incredible. Amazing. A delight. I am not sure how many times a year they do special buffets but it was outstanding.

Got here early, around 10:50 and got a great spot on the patio for lunch. Our server was very patient with our group of four. We were chatty and catching up, but she kept our water full and brought us our beers quickly. Always come here when we're in town.

Beer is awesome. Good selection. Little harder to eat at these days unless you time it right. Can be a really long waiting period. Food isn't to bad. Stays super busy during the summer time. Only living about an hour or so inland from this restaurant provides more opportunity to eat there, but if your from out of town, its worth going if your spending the day on the beach.

In a world full of excellent gourmet burgers, we often long for a simpler time. A time when a burger couldn't be described by fancy adjectives like "juicy" or "flavorful". A time when no one would ask how you want the burger cooked because it always arrived well done. A time when sand-dry burgers paired best with beer that can be best described as 'liquid'. If you think these standardless times are part of the past then you, my friend, are mistaken. Look no further than Pelican Brewery. Here the dreams of 1920's American food culture - unconcerned with quality or taste - truly thrive. While the price on the menu would suggest you are receiving something reserved only for the most affluent among us, do not allow that to fool you - the previously frozen food is simply costly but not reserved for those concerned with flavor. Pelican Brewery seems to remember the these simpler times quite well - their walls and ceiling and littered with awards from the past. Perhaps at one time their beer was craft and their food was delicious - however, this is now a distant dream that taunts the patrons of this establishment.

Also - bonus points - the bathroom was beautifully adorned with urine. It reminds me of a time before health regulations - a simpler time that we all long for.

The view here IS fantastic and the brewery can take no credit for that whatsoever. Save your money and eat a mouthful of sand on the beach outside the bar.

The beer is great, food is top notch. The service is prompt and friendly. The view from the dining room is spectacular. Love this place.

So we've been here before and we know to expect kind of bougie like they're trying to be up class brewery... There is no reason in the world that their onion ring tower should be $18, it's literally 10rings, more than a dollar per ring. I liked the flavor of my "spicy Burger" though, it wasn't spicy- I like it Hot and again I don't know why it was $18, anywhere else $15.. My husband liked the Pueblo chicken flatbread I thought the sauce was a little sweet for a flatbread.
They always have a ton of employees, yet for whatever reason our server never actually brought us our food, it was somebody from the back both times. I guess you have to ask for water now. Had to ask the busser for straws.

Over all took longer then expected (wasn't that busy) and over priced.

1 and 1/2 hour waiting to eat.
Food is ok. Nothing special for my taste.
Little spendi for what they serve.

Excellent location by beach with plenty of parking for patrons (next to public parking that gets full). Spectacular views, window tables get filled first with view to beach & sunset. Ambiance & setting are great for group of friends & families too. All staff are wonderfully trained because all are friendly & courteous. Service was prompt and from watching during my time there, all staff work well in symphony. Not really a thing out of place.

Our clam chowder was delicious, but many meals seem a bit overpriced to make it a more regular place of visit.

Food is overpriced pubfood. Beer is prett good but not worth dealing with the terrible service.

Atmosphere has been so loud from the brewing or music its not a great spot for socializing.

Fantastic food and award winning brews. Superb views of the beach is the icing on top. Can't go wrong here!

Sweet Potato Quinoa Cake was awesome. Tasted very healthy (in a good way!). I ordered it without dairy, but left the egg.

It's expensive, but location, service & excellent craft brew can't be beat. We come every time we're in Oregon!

Wanted to stop for a bite, before we hit the beach. We had a great time. Friendly staff, quick service and amazing food. We will be back again.

Pelican Brewing has the best Double India Pale Ale in the State of Oregon. The ingredients and the Brew Master make this beer the best you will ever taste bar none. Incredible! THANK YOU!

Beer is good, albeit BORING. Food is insanely overpriced, under portioned, and not good. Like offensively high prices for subpar food. Come for the view and have a beer.

Food was good but 95.00 for 4 hamburgers and 2 pop's was a bit much

Great setting, view, and convenience.. Terrible service (slow, even when not crowded), and very average (to below average) food that's also very overpriced.

I've had excellent food here in the past but today, only the appetizer was good. All three of us were disappointed in our entrees and there was significant sand in the chowder. The waitstaff was mostly friendly however.

The place is right on the beach in front of the nice rock! As we pulled up the place seemed super packed, but they were able to seat us right away! Their beer was really good and the service was even better! Super fast, super nice! We both had burgers with fries and everything was tasty! FYI- they have the double fried fries- yummy yummy! Cool place to stop if you re in the area!

We have been here a couple times now (pre and post-COVID) and it is consistently amazing. Wonderful service, delicious food and of course fantastic beer! Worth the drive if you are anywhere near it on the coast.

Preset flights are dumb. We couldn t try any seasonals as a result of this stupid rule. Also, food is way too expensive. Not worth the time in my opinion.

I ve been to pacific city many times throughout the years and always stop here to get a bite to eat. They have a beautiful place to sit and relax and enjoy the scenery. Right on the beach and they have a great atmosphere in the pub. Many different sandwiches and entrees. I don t think I have ever struck out by getting a bad meal. Don t be afraid to stop by. They will work you in and you will get fed even on a busy day.

Ordered pick up on New Years Eve ... About 20 minutes after order, received text message it was ready. Took back to our camp and checked out our bounty. It was well packed & plenty of utensils & nap kings. The onion rings were warm & crisp. The dipping sauce was interesting but not preferred. The Tri Tip flatbread was tasty & was a good choice. The cheeseburger was okay but would have been better with less leaves and better with pickles, onions & bacon. The clam chowder was thick and warm in the belly. The menu was limited but that s only because of the time we are living in. Planning on going back to the area but hopefully by that time, the menu will be bigger.

2nd time here..great service. .good food. ..had smoked oysters on Broschetta..awesome...will be back again

The food is pretty good, a bit spendy...I was actually quite surprised at how good the Dungenes Crab Mac n Cheese is. But...the BEER IS AWESOME!! My mother and I struggle to find a good Amber Ale that we both like and sure enough...Pelican Pub scores big points for their Sea'N Red Amber Ale! They also have a Peached On Deck lager that my mother tried and really likes a lot. Their Beak Breaker double IPA and Kiwanda Creme Ale are also favorites of mine. I just wish the grocery stores carried more of their great brews, as I usually only find 2 or maybe 3 of their most popular ones in the grocery stores. I am a Fred Meyer Rewards frequent shopper, so I think every time I go there and get the receipt to fill out the survey, I am going to ask repeatedly for them to carry the Sea'in Red, Peach Lager (when its in season), and Beak Breaker for sure. Maybe if I ask enough times, they will decide to carry it!

Solid beer with vegan options. My daughter said, "these are the best fish n chips I've ever had." And can't beat the location. Step right out onto the beach. Gorgeous place.

The clam chowder is amazing. Most people will order the fish and chips. Great attention from our waitress. A little expensive, but we'll worth it.

One of our favorite brew pubs. Love the catch of the day fish and chips, and the I Pelican Ale is always a special treat.

The views on this place are AMAZING!!!! Watching the sunset in a confortable atmosphere like that is well worth the cost! The only downfall of this place is the service, the host staff was rude and snooty as well as the waiters are not much for conversation, however the food & beer is soooo decicious worth every penny! And it is not tooo costly 2 beers, 2 entrees, one appetizer, plus tip about $70 but I would recomend this place, it is an experience and best sea food I have ever eaten!

Over priced, beer is average. Great customer service. Oyster shooters average taste way over priced for the quality.

Loved the beer before coming, and nothing changed that. Food was really good, and the view fantastic. The smoked tri-tip is probably the best I have had I moved the PNW again. Service was great even during lunch rush (Of course we weren't in a hurry and tried a flight with add ons and samplers of almost everything on tap so time is relative). Definitely recommend coming back.
