We enjoy steak here, wish we can order the smaller sides. Sides are huge! It's nice if you have people to go with so that you can share the sides.

The quality is unique in all The Palm restaurants, and the one in Los Angeles is no exception. The cuts are guaranteed, as is the NY as the Filet Mignon, and the service is first class. Excellent place for lunch or dinner. Please do not forget to save space for desserts. They are great. The NY cheesecake and the Lime pay are simply spectacular. There are no words to explain so much flavor; they demand a coffee.
My boyfriend took me here for my birthday and omg I love it! Their food is very good and the service was fantastic. I definitely will be coming back, though it seems like a fancy place, maybe for our anniversary or another birthday. But this is a definite must-go-to restaurant.
"Prices are decent and the food delicious. Nice atmosphere and quick service. Will be back for sure"
food was ok but not perfect service was good enough..
I recently came back and again, the food was amazing! My kids (who are extremely picky eaters!) are everything!!! The service was amazing and our waitress was outstanding! This was a much better experience than last time and I will definitely be back!
service was good and they have good foods! yummy!! Good job!
I'm so happy that my favorite restaurant in LA is still open. They are having outside seating, so we were in the garden area that used to be the waiting area. It was beautiful and we were well spaced out. They still managed to provide exemplary service even while following social distancing rules and minimizing contact. Plus, the food is the BEST in this city. Are reservations hard to get? Of course. The food is to die for, what do you expect? This is the restaurant that I want to celebrate every special occasion at. Amazing food in a non pretentious and vibrant atmosphere, It doesn't get any better.
Beautiful place to dine in or eat at the bar area. We came here just for a quick appetizer and drinks.
This was my first time at Madrid Tapas y Vinos and I couldn't be happier. The servers were all very polite and attentive. The food quality is exquisite. I ordered the Entrecot (16oz ribeye) and it was as if I was enjoying a delicious steak More
Get passed the takeaway type front end which may put you off (it shouldn't) to get to a nice seating area, and enjoy lovely food, good service and good portions.
Really nice people, friendly place. And Only the best shawarma in the whole of Los Angeles!!!! What else is there to say
Lobster bisque is delicious, steaks are as good as any upscale steakhouse
In heart of downtown Los Angeles, near Staples Center, Los Angeles Convention Center, other attractions in the area, you will find this historic restaurant, which originated in New York. It is a favorite of concert goers and sports fans, as there is a great cocktail lounge and there are flat screens throughout to follow the game if you;re not attending.
This is an upscale steakhouse with casual vibe. The service, food and ambiance are EXCELLENT, they treat every guest as if they are VIP. There is an attention to detail and level of service and quality that are the reason this restaurant has remained in business for so long.
This has a wonderful ambience - patio dining, dimly lit on inside, multi level dining, wood construction, suspended lighting and space on every wall has either a celebrity that has dined there or a famous cartoon character from the Kings Features Syndicate. The artists include Jolly Bill Steinke (Kings Features), Mac Miller (New York Illustrator), Bill Lagnante (Hanna Barbera). Currently, they use local artists at each location around the globe. If you are interested there is information in the "Our History" section of their website.
It was dinner and theatre night on my anniversary when we visited. It was also during the rainy spell in Los Angeles, so we did not get to dine on patio (another adventure for a sunny day). After checking our coats, we were escorted to our table - with a "Happy Anniversary" card signed by staff. I do not recall stating this when made reservation, but think it was a nice touch, speaking to the attention to detail.
There is an excellent wine list here. Their menu offers certified Sustainable and Kosher options.Included in dinner are seasonal specialties, steak, seafood, salads, delectable appetizers, Italian Specialties and desserts. The menu can change based upon season and need, so you need to check their website for updates, or ask your server about any specials they are offering. And - if you fancy something not on the menu, just ask them to make it.
It was difficult to choose our meal because almost al of the choices were appealing! My husband normally chooses prime rib or other steak and i choose seafood dish, but this night we both opted for seafood: Chilean Sea Bass Oscar (specialty dish) with asparagus and Grilled Salmon with Pear salad (seasonal item), added wild mushrooms. We paired our dinners with Feuillatte wine; Kir Royale and Bocelli champagnes. And for desert Creme Brulle with a candle, which was comped because of our anniversary,
Seafood was cooked to perfection, tender, each bite a taste sensation. The mushrooms (with spinach) were spectacular, it could have been a meal in itself. There was a nice butter flavor which enhanced the combination of mushroom and spinach.
There is street parking in the area, but can be challenge to find something close without meter or timed. I recommend valet parking, which is on 11th Street. It is much less than the parking ticket you could get! 11th Street is one way, so you will need to enter by turning right onto 11th from streets past the restaurant (Hope, Grand, Olive.) And exercise patience around rush hour and peak eating times; the entrance to freeway is near there so you can get stuck in that traffic. Lastly, make sure you get your validation, which makes your cost $2 for lunch and $10 for dinner.
EXCELLENT choice for any reason: power lunch, before an event in the area, special event or just for a cocktail or 2. You are treated like VIP no matter who you are, the food and service is great and there is some interesting art on the walls to explore. Can't wait for my next visit --
The place cares about their food, and it shows. From the tostadas to the entrees, everything was well composed, balanced, and delicious. The gambas was standout amazing, i could live off of that sauce and tomato on bread, and the lamb chops were tart, sweet, and savory; everything you want from something with tamarind in it.
Excellent location for quality quality meals. this place has good reviews for a reason.
I can't stop saying OMG!! Everything was amazing! The lobster bisque and the 3 cheese Au Gratin is to die for.
At the beginning I was skeptical about this place, it looks so nice and fancy, I thought It was unaffordable, but it is, I really liked it and they have special options that made my meal quite delicious and affordable. service is awesome as the decoration. I certainly will come back again. Just had drinks and an appetizer there at the bar. But the decor is cool with picture and autographs on the walls of some of the patrons. The bar staff was great. food was decent
First, the staff is just great from the hostess who remembered my name to the waitress to the the other service staff was just great. Authentic and very helpful and patient.
I just don't know if I can justify the price for the quantity. One of my favorite places and I go here every time I visit la. The selection of vegetarian options is amazing and almost every dish is well balanced and sweet.
It's funny, when I used to come here 30 years ago, their whole schtick is that the waiters were very rude on purpose. It was part of the "charm". Now the staff and management are excellent but the food can be a little hit-or-miss sometimes. most of the time it's fine, but I defiantly have experienced my fair share of cold lobsters here.
I'm so happy that they're open again. It's the first place my daughters wanted to go to as soon s as restaurants opened again. They didn't disappoint. The food was as good as usual, and Clarissa was delightful and walked us through the menu. Awesome to be back.
Everyone was so happy just having a picnic and a good time. This almost feels like the TV show full house When they go out to picnic. It's a good place to go people watching.
Fantastic as always!! A little disappointed that when I called about being available before they opened, we're told "I'm not from around here and recommended we go sit @ Starbucks". Not the service I expect, nor have experienced at their locations in the past.
Quality Meals and the atmosphere here is quality. This place will surprise you. Prices were good for how much you get. Feels similar to a restaurant in New York I liked.
It was OK steaks were over cooked for medium rare but the service was excellent
Great place and great food. Staff is very friendly and the place looks quite nice on both bar and restaurant side.
Let me stress, I grew up in an Italian household in New York where my grandma made me dinner every night. As you can imagine, my standards for Italian cuisine are beyond normal. My friend and I came across this place as we were walking down the street trying to find a place to eat. I was a little skeptical because it's in a little shopping center beside a laundromat, but I'm so glad my friend talked me into trying it out!
Good service and great food. If you spend more than $15k per year, they draw your portrait on the wall. Also I like atmosphere.
Fine spot for quality Quality Meals. Food was so appetizing. Looking forward to a return trip. Reminds me of a place in New York I liked to visit.
I always go here for their Boston clam chowder--has lots of clams!!
Uninspired dishes, a company clearly resting on its past laurels. The salad was as bad as any random restaurant's. The pasta was about as good as any I can make --which speaks poorly of what I thought about it. Spent almost $200 on a cocktail, salad, shrimp appetizer, 2 main dishes and dessert. Definitely not worth it.
This is an excellent place to take a date or loved one for a special dinner or occasion. Their steak and seafood are excellent and one of the best. The decor is contemporary and service is top notch.
The food and service are always number one at The Palm. We started with the clams orgenato. Baked clams in a galic, butter sauce. mmmmm good. Then we split a gigis salad. It's got it all. Then we're did our own surf and turf.Baked atlantic salmon and a 16 oz new york steak. We split and my favorite veggie farm fresh green beans in oil and garlic. The only disappointment of the night were the drinks. My don Julio anejo cadillac margarita had no floating shot of gran marnier even though the tried to tell me it was. No sweet with the sour and very weak tequila count. 2 of those on a totally empty stomach and not even a tweak. I should of had a major buzz from 4 shots. Beverly Hills Palm is the bomb. No weak drinks there. It's the flagship.
Would absolutely recommend trying this spot. Great vibes, delicious food, excellent service. Kudos.
This spot features a subdued location in a ritzy part of town - South Park. It's nearby the Staples Center, and the Pico at Flower Metro A Line and Expo Line stop. If you walked by the place, you might almost think it was closed, but the place is sort of low key and upscale with its lighting and ambiance.
It s the Palm. And it s Los Angeles.
There are better choices.
Amazing service, good food and a unique and authentic design
Everyone was incredibly kind and very accommodating. And the food was pretty good aswell!
The service was surprisingly mediocre (the attendant acted as if I was an I inconvenience to him), and the food lacked flavor. Twice, I had to send back/make a request for my plates! I literally received a teaspoon of lobster for the Lobster Bisque Soup - my friend received the portion size equivalent to a few tablespoons - and my salmon was undercooked, when I specifically asked for it to be extra crispy (it looked the same as my friend - very light pink). I also requested for sauteed spinach, which was prepared with absolutely no seasoning!!
I didn't see the purpose of spending $40 for lunch - my experience was subpared and lackluster food. (I've been to The Palm in DTLA several times and NEVER have been impressed by the food nor service - sorry, but it's true and they're my experiences.) Los Angeles has too many great steakhouses for me to support this location, again. Two Stars given for the ambience and free valet parking.
Iconic steak house in downtown LA. Great atmosphere and food. Had the filet with a couple of sides and absolutely delicious.
We brought our doggies there and the server was kind enough to let us know that they can split 1 order into two. We have 2 small furry babies. Although the second time that we came in, the portion was smaller.
As far as the food goes, their mac & cheese was my favorite. The staff was friendly and the service was fast. Will definitely come back again!
What a refreshing reprieve from the large and stuffy steakhouses in midtown. The filets were cooked perfectly and the price is good for what you get! What a great find.
The lunch menu has gotten smaller, as well as the portions. Still good food, but losing its charm.
This is mine and my wife's favorite restaurant.
The crab cakes are a must-try.
Great steak. Friendly atmosphere. Enjoyed side dishes
Love the prices. Great food selections and fair services!
Great vibes at The Palm Restaurant! Ended up ordering half of the menu lol.
I expected the price. I didn't expect the poor service and bland food. My steak (filet) was not cooked as requested and it was cold and tough. I was a party of one on a Thursday night with a 9pm reservation and it took about 45 minutes for my food to be served. On the whole a giant disappointment.
Your typical steakhouse meal offerings (except for the lack of raw shellfish choices). Service is above average. Location is a bit off and valet parking is behind the building. Prices are more for business accounts.
My favorite person and I have frequented Water Grill often and have NEVER been disappointed! Whether its for a first date, romantic evening, business meeting or just hanging out with friends - if you enjoy excellent seafood, great atmosphere and incredible service, this is the place to go!
this place will surprise you. the service was sociable and attentive.
The food was great for lunch, breakfast a bit limited but the staff was super friendly, also they know how to make the avocado shake, and the oven-roasted tomato was great. Well done everyone, see you again!
The food is what you come for and the atmosphere takes it to a deeper level. Very un-Los Angeles. Feels like a secret cove near a secluded beach.
quality meals... my preferred treat. Nice place to relax, people watch, eat good, etc. The service was helpful and kind. I see why this place has so many great reviews.
Certainly worth a return trip. Reminds me of a place in New York I liked to visit.
We ordered lots of delicious food and all are eaten! If your looking for something to eat , you won't be disappointed with this place! The staff was very welcoming and friendly!
I had a good time here. can;t complain. would definitely go back again
The Palm is a consistently enjoyable experience, regardless of which coast you try it on. Expect to pay higher prices for the evening, but high quality drinks and steaks are de rigueur here - you can't go wrong with a cocktail and a ribeye, thanks to the veteran staff and and a menu that doesn't try to be fussy or hipster. This is not a hangout spot for the younger crowd, but rather a gathering spot for the 30+ crowd that knows what they want and appreciates a consistent bar hangout experience.
Took a current here for lunch and as always the food and service were second to none!
I had their Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich. It was superb! Very well seasoned and a nice balance of heat with edibility. Not too greasy either like other nashville chicken sandwiches out there. Also had their chicken nuggets which weren't too bad I just wish they had a sauce that went with them as well.
A must visit if you are in the area. Great food, fantastic wine selection and ambience second to none. Truly an enjoyable experience.
Delicious. The corn tostada had a ice roasted taste and the short rib was delectable. I had the afogato for dessert and it was everything I expected. Great anniversary dinner.
Amazing food and service! Very attentive to your needs and they went above and beyond in their service.
Don't believe all the 5 star reviews that mention "quality meals" - obviously, they paid a bank of writers. I had a very bad experience with an old, stale steak and when I called the manager, she was initially defensive about it.
i really loved this place. this place has a great feel to it.
Wonderful service. The people who work here go above an beyond.
We haven't been here in a long time, and we won't have to any time soon! This business is much more than a coffee shop. Aromas provides excellent breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus, as well as frequent specials. We ate here many times during our stay and had a great time each time. Taking a holiday is worthwhile!
Marvelous restaurant service! I was not expecting this restaurant's foods would be this awesome and memorable for me. I got my order's on time, and they also got any kinds of drinks. It was deeply a relief on my side because I really love to drink. It was a nice experience for me for the first time. Thank you for everything.
