They asked members to pay for a year in advance during covid and then changed the benefits. Members can bring infants to 2yr olds in free anymore. Nor do we get free entry to zoo lights. All of Washington park is unavailable if you are poor now. If I had known this was going to happen I wouldn't of renewed my membership when they asked for help while closed last spring. Now I have to pay extra to get my whole family in.

A must see destination while in Portland. I truly have enjoyed each experience. The park is well kept and there are many fun events throughout the year. The second Tuesday of each month has reduced entrance fee rates of $4. If you desire to take advantage of this great deal, make sure you are prepared for the crowds. Even on the busiest days, the zoo is always a treat.

Really awesome Zoo. I haven't been to very many in my lifetime. But this one was a lot of fun. Can't wait till they get the polar bear and primate sections ready in a couple of years it will be great. If you're in the area I would suggest you take time with your family and check it out.

It is fun and there is a lot to see. Everything inside is way over priced. The train ride seems fun but it's 6 min. And $4 per person, so really not worth the price. It doesn't take you anywhere special or through the zoo. You go where you can walk. It's cool for how unique and old it is, but not the $$.

This is a very beautiful and large zoo, but it's always been pretty busy and the admission to get in is kind of expensive and you also have to pay for parking. They do have some pretty cool trains to ride and a lot of different animals to see. You could easily spend your entire day here if your kids don't get tired out first.

I realize the zoo is updating and building new exhibits which is great but why are they raising costs when some of the exhibits are closed? I like the elephant habitat and am excited to see what they do but let's leave rates alone

We reallyenjoyed this zoo, and the prices is really affordable to get in. It's a perfect size for a family with toddlers especially. The fish part of it is my favorite part. The tanks are awesome. We also.enjoyed that this zoo have many food options and food trucks inside so we aren't stuck with cafeteria style food.
In additon they have an ice cream stand that serves the best marionberries ice cream.

Great zoo. They obviously care for their animals well. It is well planned and organized to make it easy to see the whole zoo with little backtracking. Food options in the park were good, and had vegan and gluten free offerings. We were there when a couple new areas were being constructed and another was being renovated, so we did feel like we missed out on some of the animals, but on the other exhibits we were surprised how consistently the animals were out where they could be seen.

Over the last 20 years we've graduated from taking the kids, to taking them and the grand kids. A lot of changes have transformed the zoo over the years. However it's always consistently a great time.

Possibly one of the best zoos I ve ever visited! I love how the path takes you on a guided tour through the animal habitats especially featuring the Northwest. The concert amphitheatre and food trucks are awesome too! There are little coffee shops around and a nice gift shop. I look forward to my next trip to Portland to visit this zoo again.

Excellent zoo. I love me a zoo...and this one I wish I had given more time. It's really big and at the time the rhinos enclosure was closed for renovations..wahwah but everything else was pretty cool. Feeding times get gruesome but it's reality.

There is no denying that the Oregon Zoo is in the midst of major construction. Even so, Zoolights continues to impress. Every year the dedicated volunteers add new lights and make the event better. We attend every year as a part of our Advent celebration. We love it!
