Professional theater, well supported and loved by the community. I wish they did more frequent edgy works the way La Jolla Playhouse does, and also wish they had something like Discovery Sundays, again the way La Jolla Playhouse does.

Had season tickets here for longer than I can remember. I have seen several first run plays here that went on to Broadway, and were Tony Award winners. There are 3 theaters in the complex, and there is not a bad place to sit in any of them. Sets, acting, and staging are all great.

Never disappointing! Another amazing performance under the stars with highly professional actors. This is a beautiful, small, open air theater in the round, with excellent and friendly staff, well organized and maintained.

I'm a student at National University and I highly encourage the tour with Bill Crane & Marge Cole, the two are highly knowledgeable about the Old Globe and I can't wait to see the performances coming up

The Old Globe is a classic landmark in San Diego! Fun theatre to see a show, either play or musical! I am so lucky to be able to see around 3 shows yearly. I look forward for more to come! No bad seats as the theater is a half round!

We saw "Looking for Christmas", a first play by Clint Black. A 90 minute musical drama about realities in our current world. Sad at times and uplifting at others. Performance well staged and cast. Loved it.

The Old Globe puts on very professional productions. I have seen numerous pays here and can think of only one that disappointed. I especially enjoy the White theater as it is a small intimate venue, arranged as a theater in the round.

Best place for theater in San Diego. Architecture is fun to look at and experience. They have three styles of theater and if you go to the outside one they rent blankets to you. Food is decent, you can pre-order for half time to avoid the line. I have gone on many romantic and friend dates. I love the post show discussion on certain nights with the cast. Great staple of San Diego. The actors and actresses are world class, I have been blown away by their bios. The set designs can not be touched. Love love this place. Not all plays are my style.

Saw the play " Gods of Comedy" at the Old Globe tonight and it didn't disappoint. Next is "As You Like It" on the festival stage. Come really, walk through the park, listen to music the that organ pavilion and then a bite to eat at the Pardo. There's no better place to be in San Diego.

My comment today is about the show playing at the Globe called "The Heart of Rock and Roll." This is a musical inspired by the music of Huey Lewis. It plays through the end of October and it's a must see. Huey's music over the years provides the narrative of this piece. The crowd loved every minute of it. The voices and delivery of the songs are amazing. The entire company is what I would expect to see on Broadway and I hope this talented bunch get to take it there. Go see this before you can't get tickets!

We have been to several plays at both of the enclosed theatre spaces here, and all the productions were quite amazing. I would have to give special marks to The Lorax by Dr Seuss. Don't make the mistake of assuming this is for kids. Adults get quite as much of a kick out of it if not more.

You charged $20.00 (which we had to prepay) for parking in your valet parking lot and there was no way to get to the Old Globe except to walk. This is particularly outrageous, especially for handicapped people. You had led us to understand that there would be a shuttle at the valet lot that would take us to the Old Globe. I feel we were deliberately ripped off.

Great theater with a verity of sets, plays, and stages. The globe is a wonderful theater and there are free special events very often and there is a cafe with very good but a little expensive snacks and energy drinks. Thanks for reading-Montgomery McHargue

My heart swoons for this place. Not only is it located in the unreal and beautiful Balboa Park but this venue produces some of the finest theater in the city. If you enjoy theater be sure to check out a show here, you won't be disappointed. And no it's not only Shakespeare.
