There is very little parking. Be ready to walk and bring comfortable shoes. If you are coming for a play, allow plenty of time.

Great place to watch a show.. and The Grinch is a must see Christmas Tradition!

One of the great cultural institutions in San Diego

We went and saw How the Grinch Stole Christmas at the Old Globe, a family tradition that started with my daughter over 19 years ago. The staff is great and it's very kid friendly, we enjoy going and they have a Grinch Tree and many other decorations and things for the children to enjoy outside the theatre. If you have never seen it you definitely should, you will definitely enjoy the experience.

Went to see Familiar. It was good, a couple of long dialogue sequences, but a good solid play.

Its a fantastic place for theater productions like How the Grinch stole Christmas.

I love coming out to watch plays and watching the live performances. Tonight was special because I wanted to see what Dani Gurira wrote!

Always well organized and efficient, because in the middle of the day they quickly attend to all customers who want to eat or drink something

Just about every seat is a great seat in this theater.

Grinch is a must see performance! Fabulous singing and acting.

Nice venue. Not too big so you can get close to the stage. Like the snack and drink options. Only negative is the restrooms are down stairs

Summer Shakespeare plays here are wonderful. All of the stages are great, although I love the open-air theatre most; it's perfect for performances during those warm mid-summer nights.

Beautifully organized tree lighting event. The people were very friendly and my kids enjoyed. Free popcorn provided.

Enjoyed the play, though I enjoyed the atmosphere at Blboa Park probably just as much.

The old globe is one of the best theaters in San Diego to see a performance at. There is not a bad seat in the house.

Always a good time at the Old Globe! Familiar was awesome and Just saw the great cast of Gods of Comedy!

Definitely take advantage of the fact that you can pre-order drinks for intermission.

Never been inside as of yet... but I have worked atop its roof. Nice place, Balboa Park is a favorite of mine. Thank you Jesus

The Globe is The Globe. Always a great production, and a great place to see it. The summer series is juicy, as there is at least one Shakespeare play, often two: a tragedy and a comedy. Excellent summer evening.

Thus was one of the best musical productions I have seen since The Heart of Rock n Roll. So fun

A really great place to see a play or other performance - not a bad seat in the house. Centrally located in Balboa Park with a variety of parking lots and close to El Prado which is a great place to have a snack (or dinner) before walking over to The Old Gobe.

Great outdoor theater,an indoor too.small but very nice... seating is good ,an all seats have nice view. Clean .great time to experience Shakespeare outside

The Old Globe theatre is a wonderful experience no matter what you see.

World class theater! The ambiance, the acting, it's all very wonderful and I sincerely thank all the donors and contributors who make this place as amazing as it is. If you're under thirty look for their 20$ under 30 deal, Its a great, romantic night out :)

We went to see "They Promised Her the Moon" at the little theatre in the round. It was a good show about a program for women astronauts. We had never heard about this! It was a common exclamation I heard from many people who were at this show.

Great , classic venue inside the great Balboa Park.

Attended the performance of the musical, Life After. Great story with great performers.

Indoor theater with great acoustics. Good views even from rear orchestra seats!

A modern day classic. Best time to come here is during winter season when plays and other arts are being peformed.

Lots of variety in theatrical offerings; contemporary to classical; comedy, drama, musical; new works and Broadway bound productions.

Old Globe was great. The Heart of Rock and Roll was very corny

Love the Old Globe. Great plays, acting, and good selection of entertainment/variety. Friendly and helpful staff. Even have a little cafe & gift shop. There was live music outside area before play. The cast came out and said 'hi' to the theater goer's afterward. Don't know if they do that all the time, but kids loved it (Tales of Despereaux). Play was excellent. Very imaginative, well done and fun for adults too.

Three theaters, friendly staff, polite volunteer Usher's. Good line of sight from seat to stage and play selection. Located in Balboa Park, donations keep the Old Globe Theatre production one of the best venue's in San Diego.

Always a great time, though standing on line at Lady Caroline's is a buzzkill.

I saw the last show of "The Gods of Comedy." It was very cute! And at the Old Globe, every seat is great.

This is a fun place to see a play or musical. Enjoy eating at Prado's before or after. There are many other great restaurants close by also to enjoy. Mr. A's is my favorite. Tell them you are going to The Globe and they will get you out on time.

Saw a strong and nuanced production of August Wilson's "Jitney". Excellent character portrayals and interaction. Zooms in on 1970s Black America. Very much worth seeing.

We came to see the Grinch. This is a small intimate theater. Not a bad seat in the house. Small courtyard out front to buy snacks and coffee.

My daughter and I did, and now my granddaughter and I do relish our summer season tickets each year!

Noira was great and Almost Famous was even better. The Old Globe has reached new heights of excellence!

The play was outstanding. All types of ethnicities enjoyed. Various ages...the theater and area well maintained We had a beautiful lunch in the parks common area before play ...perfect day to be in Balboa Park to see a play

The Old Globe has three stages of varying size in one complex, with one of them being outdoors. The acting and scenery are consistently high quality.

Intimate theater. No bad seat. We saw Barefoot in the Park and Noura on different Saturday nights. Powerful acting. Impressive experience. Location is Balboa Park, also stunning at night.

I know it from the outside and its surroundings, world heritage architecture. I must attend a work.
