There are three stage here. The Globe, a smaller theater in the square and the outdoor theater. I saw The Miser at the outdoor theatre. It is a little unnerving to have lions roaring during the performance since the stage backs up to Cat Canyon of the San Diego Zoo.
BTW it was an incredible performance.

What a great quaint and intimate venue that almost guarentees a great view from almost every seat. The caliber of the shows that flow from the Old Globe are proof positive why so many of their works get a nod towards Broadway! Located in the heart of Balboa park with such great sight seeing and dining options, a night at the Old Globe makes for a spectacular evening!

If it weren't for the prices, this would maybe be my favorite theater in town! So many fun plays and musicals in a variety of theaters at the Old Globe complex. While I may not have loved every show I've seen here, they've all been very well done. Recommend you visit any time!

My first visit to Old Globe. A birthday present from my sweetie. We saw Hurricane Diane, very enjoyable. Friendly staff, good seating. I also appreciated the heads up that it was a 90 minute show with no intermission, very thoughtful on their part :)

Beautiful theater, very talented acting, and the atmosphere just makes it so enjoyable to see any production here. Come early and enjoy a glass of wine outside before the play. Would love to come back in the summer sometime for their outdoor Shakespeare productions.

Thank you for consistently bringing amazing plays that have quality music and actors and touching storylines or shows that make me fall out of my seat laughing! I never have to worry about whether or not I will love a play presented at the Old Globe...every single show is amazing!

My wife and I, senior citizens and American citizens by generations, we re seated in the balcony waiting for a performance to begin when woman and a man apparently intoxicated came in to be seated when she looked at us and said loudly look illegal aliens it spoiled our evening. The staff were not concerned or apologetic.

We were in a new theater to see "Double Indemnity" and loved it. Performance and staging in the round was great. Theater is intimate and beautiful. ONE SUGGESTION, don't buy a seat at the end of a row next to the railing. Railing is architected to be at an angle and makes it uncomfortable to sit.

We have been going to the Old Globe Theater for over 50 years. It has changed physically but the productions are usually fantastic whether at the indoor or outdoor venues. Add dinner at the Prado and you have a perfect evening.

Front is modelled on the globe theatre in London. Beyond that it's a normal theatre inside.
Comfortable seats.
Catch the tour during the days that includes the other theatres too. It was very informative.

Beautiful theater to see a show! You can eat at The Prado before hand or grab a drink at Panama 66. The theater itself is intimate so any seat in the house will get you a great view of the stage.
