Service was terrible. Supposed to be waiter service, we were sitting at our table so long, nobody came outside, which apparently they are meant to, in the end we just left. Not what I was expected at all. Wanted some nice drinks for our anniversary. It was mid-week so not even busy.

I'd dined here with some colleagues for an informal meeting. Quite fancy with well trained waiting staff. The food was good but not great, however the presentation and the excellent staff made up for most of that.

Took my wife to the OBH for lunch today (Friday) on her birthday. Wasnt expecting any real surprises as I've been there before on business and knew standards were good. However today's visit to the restaurant exceeded both our expectations. Really well served interesting food and excellent waiting staff. A rare commodity these days. They also remembered it was my wife's birthday from the booking and made a special birthday desert. Lovely afternoon and we are looking forward to a return visit soon.

So glad they had reopened in time for my birthday celebration.
Clear and we'll thought out plans for the current Covid pandemic. All managed in an understated way.
Would use it as.my local hangout if I lived close enough.

Came here with my boyfriend back in June and had a really nice time. Beautiful hotel located by the river with a boat mooring spot. Clean and comfortable room with nice decor. There is a beautiful large downstairs dining area sectioned into a more cozy pub-like area and another more fancy area, as well as outdoor seating. The vegetable jalfrezi we were served was the most enjoyable curry dish I've had, it was perfect and definitely makes me want to go back there! On the other hand, the English breakfast we were served that morning was pretty weak and to my boyfriend's dismay there was no beans.

Overall a lovely hotel in a beautiful location. The pricing is probably not ideal for a family day out, but definitely worth coming here for special ocassions or a romantic weekend with your partner.

Perennial favorite! Our home away from home! Great for everything from a wedding to a date night! Knowledgeable and courteous staff ensure you feel welcome. We enjoy indulging in a decadent dinner on a tiny drinks table in the rich, warm bar. Go for a pint, stay for a rejuvenating weekend!

A beautiful building with an ambient restaurant, efficient staff as meals served quite promptly. I ordered the lamb and unfortunately as lovely as the lamb meat was I was disappointed by the multitude of veins greeting me, when I went to cut the first piece of meat my knife refused to cut through only to realise it's gristly; however of the four that ordered the same dish two got great and two didn't. Didn't want to make a fuss on the night as the place was busy and staff were constantly on the go but during our check back but we agreed not cause a fuss as we understand the industry. Fantastic alcohol selection all in all a good place to spend the evening.

Nice restaurant, good location. A bit disappointed that they ran out of one of the starters by 2pm. Apart from that, food was quite nice, but not sure if worth the costs of eating there though.
