Good Pub to meet friends for a drink and shoot some pool. I like the outdoor setting and there's sports on TV. Food was pretty good for a pub and the place has a great atmosphere.

Its a well thought out space. Shame the pool tables arnt better quality.

Kids friemdly place for dinner always. Plenty of spaces with good food. Always one of our favourite place for gathering.

New Taffys Sports bar was really cool. We took a 3yr old and although it was quiet the staff were really nice about the family environment. Truffle cheese toastie was amazing!!!

Been coming here for years. The steak is always amazing and the only thing that changes is the price just keep going up. Young staff often not great but the older restaurant staff are amazing and keep the ppace running well.

This place has amazing Ambience. Best time to visit this place is after 7pm, with all those fairy lights it looks too good. The staff are very kind. They also have few games like pool, , and more. The pubs good and play important games on a big screen. Not very easy but not so hard to find parking. I highly recommend this place.

I have been going to the oaks for the past 3 years- it's my local. However i have made the decision to not go anymore, which is a real shame- the setting, especially outside is wonderful. However, the staff are terrible (I hate to generalise but the male staff and security guys). They are always very rude and treat you like you are always doing something wrong! The staff are the main issue, but it now closes super early too, and most things are fairly overpriced. (Ps. The new decor upstairs looks shocking and tacky...) the oaks has lost its sparkle.

It's always on the list among the best pubs ot choose for an afternoon scotch steak or late drinks in a cool setup around the 100yrs old oak tree inside the patio. Great atmosphere (but not so efficient check in process with the covid-19 requirements).

Beautiful design with a giant tree in the centre fully lit up. Cocktails were decently sized but a little pricey. Still really enjoyed the atmosphere and feel of the place!

Must have the best outdoor seating venue this side of town. Fairy lights adorn the massive oak tree in the courtyard.

Nice to see the old world upstairs Pizza's are Amazing

The Oaks Hotel is a lovely pub featuring, as the name suggests, a massive old oak tree in the middle of the beer garden. This is by far the best feature of the pub as I found that the pizza's were a bit average. Besides that, it is perfect to spend a summer evening under the tree with a cold beer and some friends.

So nice to go to a pub with such outstanding service and food.

Hope you can eat quickly.....the COVID-19 $60 1.5 hour lunch comes out quickly. We hadn t even finished our mains when the deserts where plonked on the table. There are better options in the market, the staff are under pressure to get you out of there ASAP. They didn t even take our order until 20 mins past the hour and there was only 10 of us! Poor effort from a flagship venue...

It's a pub..with beer. Actually, it's quite a good pub with beer.

I went on a rugby international night and they had a massive screen in the garden, under the fairylighted tree, but with the sound turned off. That meant I keep an eye on the game while still having a chat with the other half - perfect.

Not sure about food, or what it would be like on other nights, but this place is meant to be a classic North Shore pub.

The atmosphere and ambience was great. However I ordered the smoked lamb, the lamb had a lot of fat that couldn't be eaten. My friend got the steak which was apparently better and cooked well.

Nice local Hotel.
Has all the amenities you need plus the staff are usually very friendly.
Great place to watch sports and to have a few afternoon / evening drinks in the summer night under the tree.
Food is good and the Tomahawk steak is good so it the dry aged rib eye.
They have a decent selection of beers (different in different bars) plus a nice cellar selection of reds.

A new burger/pizza place, just down from The Crowie. Tastes ok, good menu, i bet it gets very busy when the pub shuts.

This is a large Pub with different zones for different people. Super busy on Friday and Saturday nights. A comfortable space if you are well behaved.

More a Resteraunt than a Pub with a front bar being revamped now.

Had a farwell for a colleague at work. Great venue not just for drinks but dinner as well.

Food is good, drinks range is good, atmosphere is great.

Fantastic ambience both indoors and under the tree. Definitely an ideal spot for a lazy summer's evening with friends.

Great pub, good food, good selection of beers. There is an amazing variety in differently vibed-areas to chose from, more than any other bar I have ever been to. Looks amazing on social media too, always so much going on! It is a tad more expensive than others in the area but you are also paying for the surrounds and extra level of organisation. The only thing that lets it down really is the functions manager who was incredibly unhelpful and really didn't want our business. We ended up booking our birthday event elsewhere sadly. We did send feedback but did not get a formal response. Other than that it would have got 5 stars.

The oaks used to be an institution and where I told visitors to town to go for a steak. Well things have changed - meat was over cooked, tough and not seasoned. Veggies were cold. Chef come and meet me we will go to my butchers, get a steak and I will show you how it's done. Yep it was a busy Saturday night but this was well below any professional standard.

Great venue for partys. Hire the room for free and pay for the catering packages on offer. Great bar staff

Great place to catch up for a beer or two. It could have a better selection of craft beers on tap however

I would go here only for the drinks. They have a good collection of gin and plenty of seating. Gets crowded on weekends.

Not cheap pub grub, but very good. The steaks are particularly good.

The atmosphere just envelops you. Oasis in a busy city

Nice setting outside, but not a good place to watch live sports. The screen is set too low and there's no commentary allowed due to noise restrictions. If you're going there to watch sport, watch inside.

I had a great time at the Oaks Hotel. The staff were very helpful and accommodating, the food was great and what a wonderful atmosphere! Good music and the Garden & Garden Pavilion were beautiful. I went for a wander around and it is a very cool looking venue with lots of rooms to investigate and different themes. The terrace balconies overlook the garden. Highly recommend checking it out!

Good for a wide variety of options, drinks, casual meal or night out. The food's not cheap but you get what you pay for.

The security guy at the entrance to the garden around 10pm on 14th Feb was so rude and racist. We chose to go the bar called Socal instead. had better time. We will never go back Oaks and recommend it to any of our neighbours. Socal is way better and you can enjoy your time with your friends more without harassed by the stupid security guy.

Its an institution. Enormous pub. Nothing especially great about it tho. Food is decent, staff friendly but it feels like some sort of pub-franchise. Are all the other pubs nearby terrible?

After crossing harbour bridge from city and jumping into military road for Mosman first hotel on the left hand side. Appearing next to liquor shop.

Nice outside court! Alcohol a little bit expensive.

Great venue and beautiful outdoor experience (as long as it s not raining). It is a bit pricey but worth it.
