Clean rooms, comfy beds, and a cozy yet minimalist atmosphere at decent prices. Close to public transit and surrounded by good low cost restaurants. Oh, and the showers are incredible! Great water pressure.

Beautifully renovated, rooms are a bit small, but it is fun to stay in a historic building. Very centrally located to downtown, and Hollywood. Therr is a nightclub attached but the crowd looked college age. It's walking distance to The Line Hotel, if you want to go to check that out. Also lots of Korean restaurants nearby to walk to that looked really good.

Great place to stay, comfy, clean and aesthetic rooms. Beds and bathroom were well kept and breakfast was well provided. The guys were very accommodating despite us arriving at 4am and found us a great room. The entire staff is super friendly and helpful at all times of the day, especially Tony & Mitchell. Would no doubt stay again.

Very nice old building, which has been completely restored. Staff was very friendly and the rooms were very clean every day. The hotel is right on a busy street which you can hear in part, if you have one of the large rooms facing the street. Fortunately, there is the air conditioning, so that you can leave the window closed. There is no free parking, but a valet service, which drives the vehicles for a fee to a guarded place opposite. Location in the city is perfect and the metro station just 4 min. walk away.

This place is the absolute worst! Do NOT stay here! They charged me $200 after already being signed off as having no incidentals during check-out, for falsified reasons, and then forced me to wait days to get refunded, after causing me to be forced to literally sleep in the street, due to the fact I'm from out of town and and had no funds to get back home, or to get a room for the night while waiting. When questioned about what could be done to remedy the situation, I was told it was just "too bad", then asked to he be contacted by a manager, and never was. Absolutely unacceptable!!!

The staff was great, I enjoyed the classic decor and bathtub. We stayed for three nights, the first night our room's heating didn't work, they brought up a space heater (it's the coldest week of the year) but then the next morning we switched to another room and all was well. Do note that the traffic outside can be noisy through the lovely old wooden windows but this seems to be an inescapable fact in LA.

I had missed my flight in LAX and was able to find this hotel to stay at for a reasonable price. We got here at 2 am and were welcomed by Freddy. He was very perfessional, personable and was able to answer several different questions that I had about the hotel. Also who is a great ambassador for this hotel is Jonathan! He was extremely polite and happily assisted us with the multiple requests that we had. Last of all Ricky helped us check out. Since we don't know the area, he referred us over to the restaurant next door also offering to hold our luggage. It was a great stay with excellent customer service!

It was our first time visiting LA and we are sp glad that we chose this hotel as our stay. Staff is great and attentive and the hotel is so beautiful, especially the lobby!

Our hotel room was clean, the bed felt so amazing and comfy! And room service is excellent.

The hotel is right in Ktown and there's a few Korean restaurants at a walking distance. Very convenient.

Overall we really enjoy our stay and I will definitely come back again. Thanks for making our first nights in LA a pleasant one!

It looked like a historic hotel. Since the location is Korean Town, there are many Hangul characters around and I think I can feel the feeling of coming to America. However, the staff were warm and comfortable.

You can go from LAX to uber for about 5000 yen.

There is no toothbrush, so let's bring it. Bet is soft and comfortable. The staff is also kind. Just as you say, the window may be thin or the outside sound may be heard, so some people may be anxious.

It doesn't communicate in Japanese at all, and there aren't many bustling shops around, but for Los Angeles, where accommodation costs are high, it's a good hotel with a reasonable price, good atmosphere and good atmosphere.

Front staff was not too friendly, no ice machines available to the guests (you need to call the front desk and wait several minutes for a small bag delivered). Parking is valet only 35$. The hotel is old but seemed pretty Clean.

The hotel spot was ok. Clean hotel with nice staff. But my room was so small and not roomy. Whenever people upstairs walked, run i could hear them as if its in my room. And walls are so thin I could hear my next door neighbor s tv. But free breakfast and selection of breakfast was nice. And the burgers of Cassell s which was located next to the hotel. Must try it. Better than in N out Burger. And their homemade sauces are awesome.

Three of my friends and I booked Hotel Normandie last minute. And by last minute, I mean we checked into our Airbnb at 3 am the night before, found ants lining the tub, and decided we couldn't stay there the rest of the weekend, last minute. It was the best deal we could find on such a short notice, and it was also one of the hotels I had been looking into before we booked the Airbnb. Here are some of the pros/cons:

Pros:
1. Located right in K-Town (didn't seem like it was the sketchy part), so there are lots of restaurants nearby. THere's a burger place right in the hotel. I didn't get to try it but it had pretty good reviews
2. When we arrived in the room, there was one bottle of water. Housekeeping must have noticed that four people were staying there because the next day, there were four bottles
3. They let us check in early at around 10 am
4. The sink in the room is located outside of the bathroom, which was convenient and efficient for four girls staying in one room
5. Breakfast is included. It's your basic bagels, toast, muffins, cereal, fruit yogurt, but they also have Clif bars! No hot breakfast but it was decent and there were quite a few options

Cons:
1. The pillows are high and uncomfortable
2. Old and slow elevators
3. It's located next door to a bar so it can be noisy at night

You receive Complimentary Breakfast Inside a nice sitting room daily- was wonderful! I will love to return. I've stayed here several times and I'm never disappointed. Everyone goes above and beyond for all of the guests.

Nice hotel, nice rooms and clean. The reception is cordial. The lobby is nice and atypique.Le breakfast is self service, fairly simple but effective (do not go down too late) .If you are in car, provide that the valet parking and parking are extra (very expensive), we only knew the last day at the time of payment.
Well located. What to eat right next door, direct access from the lobby of the hotel.

Historical spot right in the middle of Koreatown. They have a speakeasy so make sure you get room on quiet side if you need rest. Best spot if you want access to good food. Burger place in hotel is great!

Rooms are furnished with antique pieces. Original bathroom and wood floors. In general very clean with a few nicks here and there.

Clean, comfortable rooms. Friendly staff, great value. Beautiful lobby. Excellent value and lovely, unpretentious staff. Happy hour in the lobby was generous and unexpected. No need for the drama down the block at the Line.

I booked this hotel for our trip to LA. We wanted to experience different accommodation from chain hotels like Marriott. I should say that it was great . and we enjoy our stay. The hotel is old and historical, in each corner of the lobby you may see antique things or decoration. The hotel offers wine tasting each afternoon and you could eat at Cassell's Hamburger, next door restaurant which I really recommend.
LOCATION: 5 min walk to subway and Starbucks. We did not rent a car and we could use subway to get to the most locations we wanted including Hollywood boulevard, Universal Studio, and downtown LA.
ROOM: The room & bathroom was clean but old so if you are looking for a luxury hotel experience this, not the one. It does not have any microwaves.
The only downside was the check-in time. You can not check-in even 10 minutes prior to the check-in time. We arrived at 1:00 PM and we had to wait for exactly 2 hours. All in all highly recommended to those who wanted to experience new things.

Stayed here for a week and don't recommend doing so if on a work trip. NO amenities other the a limited continental breakfast and valet. Gym I never did locate...(SMH). Valet was short and stubborn and would refuse service a few times. Also elevator is too slow f and r 4 floor stairs are much more efficient and timely. Nothing other then a donut shop across the street and convenience stores are more the three or more blocks away. Rooms are small and quaint with hardwood flooring and windows that open a ++. No safe in room but has a personal size refrigerator. Filtered Water and ice are self served at random location on each floor.

A hotel really shows their true colors when there's an emergency, and mine was huge. I arrived at check with ten million needs, my worried partner and a service dog. The Hotel Normandie sprang into action, from the manager, the staff, the head of housekeeping, the cleaning staff ... Faster than I could take a seat in their beautiful lobby and hug my dog for support. There was running involved! (Not that anyone should have to do that during their working day.)

This hotel is special now, and it's the staff that makes it so. It has a unique spirit, and the people who care for it and run it and look after those who are staying in it are just ... Well, I have no words. Everyone single one. Wonderful. If I were rich, I'd make it rain hundreds with one of those money guns every time I see them.

We literally live a block away, so we never go to this hotel to spend the night for obvious reasons. We do go a lot to their amenities and businesses nearby, like Cassell's Burguer on the ground floor or the fantastic bar "Normandie Club". This hotel has revitalizdd the entire area, and the crew have always been great and polite. Oh! And they have free yoga classes on the rooftop every Tuesday (7pm to 8pm) and Saturdays (10am to 11am). Namaste!

What a wonderful hotel! Definitely a cut above and a great value. Apparently this place was renovated back to its original style, and I think they did it really well. It s understated, super clean, with a comfortable bed, excellent materials, antique fixtures. I was able to really rest here. Also, the staff was fantastic. I will definitely be back, and I m telling friends about it. You can t get something this beautifully done at this price normally. Normandie is a find!

Well I first had scheduled a reservation at San Vicente inn but when I read reviews that it was a clothing optional hotel I got freaked out but to be correct that was years ago so there under new management so it is no longer clothing optional and is family friendly BUT they had horrible reviews so I booked the HOTEL NORMANDIE and I'm glad I did. First the front desk ladies were very awesome and totally chill. And it's close by to the subway systems. My room was beautiful!! And clean. And even though it was facing a brick wall I didn't mind I liked it! They also offered complimentary wine night which I loved. :) free refills! Hells yea!!! def check this place out. Glad I did. :) and it's by the subway!!

The location in Korea Town was fairly nice for the LA area. The hotel itself is amazingly beautiful and very high quality. Definitely worth the price and more! Gorgeous lobby, wonderful staff, excellent decor and rooms, and a delicious continental breakfast. The hotel restaurant is also very high quality. Overall an unforgettable hotel experience.

Very nice hotel, clean and the lobby is stunning.
Wi-fi was aweful though so it's lost a star, used phone data the entire stay.
Staff were fantastic, always polite and welcoming.
Complimentary wine tasting was a plus too.

Even though the wi-fi was bad will be definitely considering for my next stay in LA

They say 3.5 stars but not at all. The only good thing they have is the pictures. the hotel is a 100 year construction but cheaply renovated. You can easily see the difference between the pictures and the real deal. After the checking in I waited for half an hour for my luggage and they don't bother to take them to my room, I had to come down for them. The room is really basic, no snacks in the room, no safe in the room, they didn't bother to refill my instant coffee in the room the next day. I did enjoy the Almond milk and the basic breakfast. I really believe is an overpriced Hotel compared to the other ones I normally use.

Excellent lodging option in Los Angeles. The hotel is very nice and ideally located in Koreatown. It is easy to get to the Metro, take a bus, ask for an Uber or park. Complimentary continental breakfast and wine club with complimentary wines every day at 4:30 make the stay comfortable and excellent. The rooms are clean, the decoration is very nice both in the reception and in the rooms, they have free Wi-fi and a delicious restaurant with very famous and delicious burgers. You can walk to restaurants in Koreatown and have a nearby gym that you can use at no cost. Very good option
