Really beautiful food and such a nice setting, especially in the summer. Highly recommended!

There for a christening reception so not used the main facilities, but aside from the frankly weird rough small door (looked like a staff area door) that was the entrance into the room we were using, everything else was lovely. Good hot buffet food served, and staff friendly and helpful.

Lightbulbs out in bedroom, stains on the duvet, very old window frames that wouldn t stay open, narrowly missing my hand as it dropped down, breakfast was over cooked, asked for fresh croissant as per menu, and was told there was croissants on the buffet bar that were burned and cold. I ordered a bacon sandwich when it arrived I was very disappointed as the bacon was Rock hard and couldn t chew it. Upside was a very comfortable bed and staff were lovely. We wouldn t stay here again it certainly wasn t worth 135.00 for an overnight, stayed in nicer accommodation for a lot less

Excellent Sunday lunch we love it there plenty of room for our extended family .foods is simply AMAZING. .

Good location by the river, large range of seating areas, open fire, plenty of outdoor seating. Haven't eaten here for a while, but the quality still looks high. Generally a very smart establishment. Caters for large parties and weddings.

Really nice hotel, helpful staff, comfy beds and great food. Shame the room in the courtyard only has windows at ceiling height made it a bit claustrophobic. Would stay again just for the delicious meal.

Large car park, and also plenty of room inside. Food is slightly expensive for what you get but broadly in line with other pubs that have gone upmarket. Open fire in the winter is a nice touch.

We went for lunch a second time after visiting Antingham Park. The staff were lovely and the food was great.

The food was tasty, menu interesting and staff generally very friendly. Would have given 5 stars if it weren't for one member of staff (short, dark haired, female, seemed to be a team leader) who had an appalling attitude and effectively lied to us. I ordered a rare steak, it came out medium and she claimed that's the only way it's cooked there.

The ambiance is very relaxing and welcoming. Service is very good and the lunch was superb. I will definitely recommend to friends. It is situated in a beautiful position by the river Severn, and opposite Atcham Park.

Lovely garden area with various size tables and chairs. Waiter / waitress service available. Excellent place for food.

The Mytton and Mermaid makes the most of its setting on the banks of the river severn, it's a lovely spot to while away a summer evening and the scenery and building help create a relaxing and calm spot for a drink or two. In the winter, the open fires and warm welcome are a treat and worth travelling to. There's usually some live music going on, a solo artist, band or duet is common and can make a quick drink and a bite to eat turn into a much longer occasion. The restaurant has always been of a good quality and although it sometimes errs on the side of expensive the food offered is of excellent quality and always delicious. The service on our last visit wasn't amazing, the staff all seemed very new and lacked some direction at times but this hasn't always been the case.

Top notch vegan food, 1st time visiting and was and not disappointed at all. Highly recommended, the service was great and the staff very friendly. Will definitely be returning very soon.

It was my daughters 21st today so we decided to book and have a meal out with a couple of friends, I appreciate that with Covid going on at the moment it s table service only but at one point my daughter was waiting nearly half an hour to order a glass of wine and nobody was coming over to see if we wanted another drink or to clear the glasses which we had already used! The 3 meals ordered came in good time and were enjoyable but unfortunately the noodles I ordered were not good! I did order the extra side of chicken to go with it but only had 2 small pieces in the whole of the bowl very disappointing

Beautiful location right on the river with a real charm about it. The meal prepared was delicious, serving 60+ guests and not a hiccup to be seen.

Different in there in this covid era however service was better much more focused and attentive really enjoyed my afternoon there

Not much choice on the menu and as a vegetarian i dont like olives or mushrooms so for my main corse i had goats starter which did not fill me up. Wont be going back.

I came here for a wedding. Both the day and evening were beautiful. It was very well organised and nicely paced throughout the day.

Very good food. Bit of a delay being served but it was a busy lunchtime and then we didn't book. We would go back and probably make a reservation next time.

We celebrated our sons wedding here recently and it was such a perfect day. The venue is beautiful and the food was absolutely gorgeous. The staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We have many special memories of the day and wanted to say thank you very much .

A lively and beautiful pub next to the River Severn opposite Attingham Park. Great selection of beers and wines to accompany great food choices. A large outdoor garden at the front and a grassed seating area looking over the river.

A great pub in a nice rural setting on the busy old A5 rout to Wellington. Just outside of Shrewsbury they do some great ales on tap and some very nice food. Can get the odd snobby git from time to time but don't let them spoil your day.

Food is always delicious and well presented. Usually eat dinner here but recently dined at lunchtime and it was exceptional. Staff were very attentive. Lovely dining experience

Corridor s need a lick of paint , no towels in the room first night, bathroom floor smashed and loose , burger slightly under cooked in the middle ( this was mentioned at the table)

Is ok food expensive, lovely sitting in the garden for a meal, food good

Very poor. In this modern day a hotel like this serving a mixed group of customers should know better than mixing all meat and non meat foods including sandwiches on the same plates. No sensitivity of the modern age. Not moved on from the last time I highlighted to the staff privately so here it is in public. I am not expecting any responses or any sympathy but need to highlight such places and practices exist.

Beautiful hotel. Stayed in room 10 in the cottage. Lovely warm and clean room. Overlooks the bridge and part of the river Severn.
