Parking was easy and the entrance is grand. Children's garden is huge with lots of outdoor activities that are educational and fun and kinetic. Picnic area with available drinks and close by clean bathrooms. Too big to see it all in one day so take a tram ride and enjoy a relaxing guided tour of the entire arboretum. The Cafe is located at the entrance with a interesting gift shop full of garden stuff and all sorts of great things to make sure you remember your trip. You can see the arboretum at least a few times a year and it's always different. The trolls are huge and easy to spot.

Very well maintained, beautiful grounds, staff is always helpful. In the winter they have the Christmas lights which cost a bit extra but it's worth it. The lights are set to music and they have interactive sections and fire pits where you can toast marshmallow or make smores from a pack they have available for purchase. The Arboretum is also beautiful during the summer and the fall. They have the most beautiful foliage display! The gift shop is very nice too, with lots of knickknacks and even honey, plus stuff for the kids. Cafe is on the premises, but I haven't had anything from there (not much for a vegan).

Allergy parents beware!!! I'm rating this one star solely to give awareness to the allergy parents out there. The children's garden has picnic tables throughout the entire play area so there are kids constantly eating, playing and dropping food everywhere.

Great place to jog, bike, or hike. Children's garden has a nice stream toddlers can slash around in, and big tree forts for bigger kids. Enjoyable events hosted regularly, and membership is very affordable.

Beautiful grounds with ponds, flowers and of course trees. The roads are one way with various small parking lots spread out, so you can explore different areas more easily. There are several picnic areas and benches as well. We went to see the new troll art installation, which is amazing and su h a wonderful fit with the setting, but also drove past a number of different sculptures and other art pieces. I'm not local, but if I was from the Chicago area, I would definitely get a membership and return again and again.

I absolutely love the arboretum - when I first started visiting, I never imagined how big and diverse the environments would be. There's seriously something for everyone in every mood.

We go here regularly with our kids and do the kids area, the maze, or just hike a path. I work here during the days occasionally at the library or the cafe, and my wife and I go for dates and enjoy a nice stroll. It's a great place no matter who you're with!

The entire family went for the Illumination at Morton, and we loved it. The lights and the ambience was just so magical and beautiful. The wait was a little long, but very organized. Parking was far, but they provided shuttle buses. Everyone had fun and enjoyed the holiday music and hot chocolate. Would definitely recommend it and will definitely come back next year.

Went on a field trip with my granddaughter and her 2rd grade class. Both off the Arboretum educators did a great job of teaching and doing their best to keep the kids attention. Even I learned some things! Keep up the great works at this awesome " tree museum".

Went here for a day of cross country skiing. Highly recommend it as we had fun and it was quite beautiful. Only real complaint was the lack of guidance on where to go after we got our skis. We took off on our own and didn't find the true cross country skiing trail till halfway round. Otherwise a great day out.

Went to the illumination Christmas light show. It's beautiful, and if you like the outdoors and a nice walk on a cold winter night in snow this is just the thing to do with family. Takes about 45 min to walk it at a slow pace. They had nice heard tents with warm drinks, s'mores that you could take to a camp fire, and other snacks to warm you up. Really put me in the Christmas spirit, as the lights were amazing to see on all the trees. I'd highly recommend people to see this if they don't mind some walking. It is wheelchair accessible, but a few small hills might be challenging if the chair isnt electric. Should be no problem if someone assist pushing, and baby strollers won't have any issues either since walk ways are all paved. Parking lot was a little muddy, but handicap parking up close is paved. They even have a cafe insight in the main building.

Super place to walk. Has a variety of programs such as Christmas Festival. Very good place for conferences. I have attended three meetins and catering for each one was efficient and healthy food. Sufficient parkinf and walking trails.

The Morton Arboretum is an amazing experience every time! There is always a new exhibit or event and if there isn't there are so many trails to explore that I think you can find something new everytime! We particularly love the nature play areas, fragrance garden, Children's Garden and exploring the trails.it is absolutely worth it to buy the membership!

It's a beautiful place to go and I'm grateful for the wonderful escape. But, you can't walk or bike there. You can ONLY take a car. I literally nearly killed myself walking to this place. What was I thinking??? Why don't they have a few other "entry" options? Brookfield Zoo has two. I would think this place of all places would want to foster people to walk or bike there - not get in their car. Never the less - once you are there - it's lovely!! I'm happy to donate to this place. But, if they don't make it "easy" for their guests or members to get to - they are missing out on something more important than the next big attraction. Not to mention, they are hurting the very principles they stand for which is the preservation of nature. Create more entrances. Don't ask me how. Just put your mind to it and be creative. And, quick.
