A beautiful 1,700 acre park. Lots of great mulched trails that are looped and have varying lengths. There are various parking lots throughout so that you can enjoy all areas of the park even if you can't walk it. Right now they have a troll hunt special exhibit with giant trolls placed throughout the park. They also have a kids area, restaurant and several concessions. You could pack a picnic lunch and spend the day. Great place for runners and bicyclists too!
This is an amazing expereince for both children and adults. A true hands on learning enviornment.
Ilumination trees were beautiful, amazing experience
Incredible collection of trees . The labels are too small and many trees are not labeled. The plaques are not located in front of the tree being described. No Porta Johns on the trails. For this admission price, there should be more places to go to the bathroom. The gift shop was an ecological wonderland.
I very much enjoyed walking through this lovingly built arboretum. The trails are well maintained and the trees and shrubs are beautiful.
We had a ton of fun troll hunting and just walking the trail's learning about all the different foliage
Great place to take a walk. The grounds are large and very well maintained. My wife saw two kinds of woodpeckers. The cafe is good too. Also a great place to bring kids in warm weather; there's a children's garden, a maze and other activities for kids.
Nice hiking trails and our 3.5 loved the Troll Hunt. Can't wait to go back in the Fall.
So gorgeous. Such a perfect area. Love to walk around.
An incredible place, beautiful scenery with wonderful programs one wouldn't think would be associated with a tree museum
Awesome Christmas lights but the website does not specify the time of final entry being 8:30pm even though the time listed states 7:00 to later.
Stunning greenery, what won me over is the children's garden and it was absolutely delightful...my little girl could spend hours in it (and let's be honest here, so could I), she loved it! Will definitely be returning another time!
1. The best place for family hang out.
2. The staffs are friendly.
3. You can register yourself as member and they have reward or price when you reach some amount of visitation.
4. And when I was there, I had nice experience with their special event. Illuminating forest.
5. People who loved arts and trees would love this place.
I went in the fall and was a bit disappointed about the trees on display. It felt like going into another forest preserve and wasn't able to get a good photo op of the place
The arboretum is a wonderful place for a membership. They have a resturaunt and shop for gifts. They also have tours to teach about the different trees and play at, they offer events and classes, the children's garden is amazing, the picnic areas are endless, walking paths, great place to ride bikes, the trolls! So many things waiting to be discovered!!! Bring your friends!
Went for Illumination. Love walking around the Arboretum in the winter with the lights. It just brings out the holiday spirit. The lights are amazing and they do change it up every year. The only tiny thing is that it is very dark on some of the paths. It is easy to lose your kids or group if you are not paying attention. We put lights on our kids to help. There was a boy that got lost we had to help. We have gone the last 4 years.
Love it!!!!
Very beautiful experience. Fire pits were a nice touch.
Enjoyed the visit.
Went on dog day and the wait to get into the Arboretum was ridiculous. I get heavy traffic, but come on now. Over 45 minutes to get to the light? Aside from needing a better parking system, where were garbage cans to accommodate the extra cost I paid to bring my dog? I would have loved the trolls more if I didn't have to carry around a bag of poop the whole time. Other than that, it's lovely!
I love walking the grounds here! The troll hunt was a lot of fun and the legos sculptures were great!
Great outdoor hiking and greener surroundings which soothe your soul! Must visit.
If 5 stars is best, then let it be 5.999...stars. Why? They are classy, visitor very friendly, with many relevant programs. They have a children's experience area, well maintained walking paths, paved byways for wheeled traffic, restrooms throughout, meeting rooms, historic buildings, ... it is our respite ... we visit often which cost-justified our membership. Pay at the door or buy a membership, the value is immense. The membership card is honored at similar venues around the U.S.A.
WHAT IT IS NOT ... is not a public forest preserve or park - mutual respect expected & required for all to thrive. Stop by! See you among the oaks and the daffodils!
Dog Day at Morton was wonderful !! We took Amazing photos!! The staff was very friendly.
Nothing really here except the TROLLS their amazing!!!!
Attended a wedding here, it was beautiful and well managed.
Went for the model train exhibit. It is very detailed, organized and personnel available to answer questions and share additional information.
Kids area is the best... Great trails for walkers... Nice place for lunch but cost can be high... Photos are great in many areas of the grounds...
Amazing peaceful place to visit with family, friends or relaxing walk alone.
The food there is also very good and healthy choices as well.
Special Troll and Lego exhibits are amazing!!!
Watch out folk! This guy will throw big rock at your car window and knocks you out
Beautiful place for a walk or drive. Check out their website for fun activities !
Definitely would recommend going for the Christmas lights. The trees that look like there breathing were awesome. Good place to enjoy family time.
Friends visiting from Uganda wanted to see the Arboretum in Lisle, Il
To be fair I went in winter but it's a great educational space and the staff are so helpful. The trolls are super fun. Will be back. My tip is to buy an American Horticultural Society pass and it has a reciprocal agreement so you can get in all seasons.
very good regional park. lvrry clean, good walking trails.
The Children's garden is awesome. Plenty of interactive play. We take advantage of Bank of America free museum offer when we visit. BOA free museum offer is the first full weekend of each month, look it up.
Love to go for runs here or just hike through the glorious trails
Love visiting here, we are members and highly recommend it! Make sure to find the trolls!
Instagram @jbc_world amazing time trees and trolls all in one go
This was one of the first Mudkip nests. And an amazing one at that! The place is massive and there were Mudkip all over the place! I caught a ton of them. It was a very cold winter day so it was really nice that you can stay in your car and drive around the place. The only downside is that you have to pay for admission into the park.
Had a wonderful time at the lovely light show for the holidays here. Beautiful 0laces. Very well set up and run.
Attended a wedding here. Quiet, well groomed, unique plants and sculptures.
Beautiful place that reminded me of a state park back in Pennsylvania
Worth getting a membership for parents to let kids run around and expel energy. Very beautiful grounds and many paths with plenty of information about the trees and plants around.
We enjoyed the trolls and the children's garden. What a beautiful place! The woods is magical.
A great day with the pup. Very nice staff and beautiful weather.
Loved it! Troll hunting with the kids. They were so excited to find them all
It was a really good experience. It was a very good experience.
Amazing Flora and Fauna, of course! The gift shop is fabulous and the restaurant inside has a wonderful wide window for viewing the pond while you eat ! Salmon sandwich was delicious
In this place you can take a long walk in the beautiful nature with your family and friends, also they have a nice children's area to explore.
Nice walk under the trees. Strictly walking, no climbing or such. Plenty of bugs so make sure to use mosquito repellent prior to the walk. Close to the city.
The Illumination was our families' first visit to the Arboretum. What a beautiful experience. We hope to make this event a family tradition. Looking forward to getting to stopping by throughout the year.
Things to do at every age! My kids love the Children's Garden and I love the plant sales, outdoor activities for families and solo visitors.
Beautiful nature trails for walking, biking and driving
The troll hunt was a lot of Fun! The map they give kind of stinks because it doesn't have all the trail markings and is easy to get lost with it
Beautiful species of plants, with trees that take lifetimes to grow. Excellent paths for walking, biking, driving, or hiking. Take the person you love most in the world and just enjoy their company with this beautiful arboretum as your backdrop
Gorgeous area to walk through, especially when you're with kids.
This is our favorite place to take our kids! We're so lucky it's close to our house...definitely our most used membership.
Beautiful woods and nice hiking and walking trails. Perfect for a picnic and a bike ride.
I'm visiting MoM from NC, & this is a very nice place. The troll hunt was fun, but I didn't see any.
Fun place with lots to do. Just take bug spray as there are lots of mosquitoes!
