Always a beautiful place to visit. The children's garden is so much fun. I am always excited to be able to bring my kids here to spend the day out in nature. The highlight in the children's garden for us is the ponds. You can take your shoes off and wade through or step from rock to rock. There are tadpoles and frogs to catch and observe as well as dragon flies. So much fun.

Such a beautiful place to visit. It would be a dream come true wedding location. Just awesome to come and decompress amongst the gorgeous foliage. Well worth the membership fee. You can see a lot of the park from your car, so it's worth a visit even for those who are physically in pain or impaired.

While prices are on the higher side, I think the arboretum is one of the few establishments that I can support spending a little more money at. The childrens garden is amazing. I wish there was a more substantial discount for members at their events.

Became a member because we can't get enough of this great park. Good in all seasons and not as crowded as the botanic gardens. Lots of events throughout the year. A dedicated children's garden, which my toddler adores. The maze is pretty sweet too.

Always s pleasure going here! Their trolls on display were fun to find and funny in their positioning. Kids always have a blast in the childrens garden, crossing the rope bridges and playing in the little creek.

This is a nice place for family fun, the children's garden is great. I always see people bringing their bikes so we decided to take a Sunday family bike ride at the arboretum. Well this is not a fun place for a family bike ride. $60 for the 5 of us to get in is steep. There are no bike paths here, there is a narrow road that cars, bicycles, and pedestrians share. This is a disaster. It would be better if they had a marked bike lane, but it's just a narrow road. I understand that they are trying to make money, but the cars make this place unenjoyable for bikes. Especially for children on bikes. You are way better off going to a public bike path, there are so many in the area that I'm embarrassed that I spent $60 to ride my bike on a busy road.

Attended a wedding here and strongly recommend! Pros: The food was phenomenal and the waitstaff's service was outstanding! Our main "waitress" could not have been more accommodating towards us and the three children seated at our table. There were several courses consisting of: bread, salad, sorbet, and then the main meal. I had the eggplant vegetarian meal while my spouse had the red meat option, and both were delicious! The setting for the wedding was before a glass wall overlooking a pond and it was lovely. Cons: We had to wait over an hour for the reception because the ceremony was held in the same room so seating had to be reorganized and tables set up. While we were waiting there were almost no chairs and we were crowded in the lobby area to stand around the visitor center! There was no clear signage for the wedding from the parking lot to the reception area, and there was more than one going on to further confuse the matter.

It really is beautiful. Spring, summer, or Winter. You can't go wrong. Just be prepared to walk. It's worth it. Try to go when it's not too hot. Food is good. A little pricey but it goes to a great cause. T.

Saw Illumination last night and just WOW! So great! Parking was easy, good crowd control. It took us 1.5 hours just like they said it would. Trails are all paved. There were a couple enclosed tents along the way to buy a snack or hot chocolate and to warm up.
They had a few campfires set up also along the trails to warm up beside. I didn t see anyone roasting marshmallows but that would ve been fun too.

Went there w/ my husband & parents for the first time. Even though the day was cold, everyone was in good spirits! Cindy, the Acorn Express conductor has a great sense of humor and was wonderfully educational on our tour. The park is gorgeous. Looking at becoming a member to be able to come back all the time!

Great light show-- even in the rain! Crowds were heavy which made for tight walking along the pathways. I imagine that having snow would make the experience even more magical and beautiful. Thanks morton arboretum for putting on a wonderful holiday light show!

The Morton Arboretum covers 1700 Acres. Nice combination of a tree research facility and diverse collections of trees. You won't find this diversity of species in the county forest preserves. Many kid-focused and educational areas. A single-person membership is only $60/yr; for me that's a great value, and I look forward to exploring the Arboretum throughout the year.

We bought a 2 year membership, but quickly realized it wasn't worth it. We can't ride our bikes safely to the Arboretum and once inside, forget it. We were run down by cars and even yelled at. BTW there are no trails for bike only road. We love walking with our dog, but no dogs allowed except on special days, and it costs extra even with membership. The Morton Arboretum is a FOR PROFIT place.

This was a great opportunity for some wholesome and safe family entertainment at the fantastic Morton Arboretum. The kids and adults enjoyed the walk and light show on an unseasonably comfortable evening. Make sure you purchase your tickets online. The crowd is controlled by restricting the number of tickets in each time slot.

Parking lot was full but the place is very spacious. Everything is outdoors. There's enough for kids to explore & they have a little picnic area. They'll loan wheelchairs for no fee, they just need a photo ID of some sort and return it before 6pm. It's quite a lot of walking. It's a very peaceful place with very nice scenery.

Everywhere you look it is a beautiful view. They have a toddler maze, and entire children's area (closes earlier than the rest of the arboretum). They have a sculpture exhibit through the ground call Oragami in the Park, scattered oragami sculptures of birds, boats, even chairs, etc.

Wonderful place for a walk in the trees. We went to the walk-in tai chi class and had a good time. There were quite a few cars in the parking lot on a Sunday afternoon but it didn't seem crowded at all. There are a lot of family friendly activities to engage children, and a restaurant, coffee shop with espresso drinks, a big gift shop, and a nice visitors center. It costs $15 per person now, which is a lot more than it did in years past, so a membership makes good sense if you plan to visit more than twice a year.

Love this place! Whether it's a special event like the Illumination or just an afternoon walking the trails, this is an awesome place to spend time. There is an admission fee, but if you can get there regularly, strongly recommend an annual membership.

Great activities for kids and adults. The water area for kids was very cool as well. Wkifd can walk around in about knee depth water and walk on smooth rocks. Easily the most crowded area there but still plenty of room for kids to play

Love it. We went on a gorgeous December day and we were able to locate all the trolls. It was so relaxing and not overly crowded. We also went on another evening for the Illuminations walk. A lot of fun even though it was really call. Plenty of fire pits to warm up throughout the walk.

Great place to bring the kids and also for the kid at heart. The children area is really nice and overall the entire park is well maintained. The restaurant offers good quality food and healthy options, although a bit pricey. Highly recommend for the entire family. There's a train shuttle available, note the park is huge, great for biking and walking around.
