Wonderful relaxing day at the spa. Fantastic staff and venue

Excellent service. Professional staff. Visiting for a wedding and couldn't have been better looked after.

The setting is lovely but the hotel is under staffed for the number of functions that they book in. Consequently there are few staff to hand to deal with residents or attendees and you are left unable to order food or drinks and with no one to show you to your table or take your order. The wedding that we attended was delayed by the mc being difficult to locate even at several points. The night before there were so many people in the bar that the staff were overwhelmed. At breakfast it was the same story. When we did find staff members they were always happy to go above and beyond to help with anything and were very personable.

The staff were friendly and the afternoon tea wasn't great, some of the sandwiches were hard and there isn't much atmosphere.

Just a lovely relaxing place for rest, play and fun.

Had an amazing spa break with husband. The facilities, room and staff were of high standard! Definitely recommend

My mum treated me to an overnight stay with spa treatments for my birthday. The quality of the room and hotel was top notch and the staff went out of their way to make it special for my birthday. Thanks

Amazing rooms, super comfy bed! Breakfast buffet was unreal had a huge selection including veggie options. Only downside, the late night room service was overpriced for one of the worst pizzas ive had.

Fantastic! Staff, facilities and the food were superb. Definitely the best spa resort that I have stayed in. Can't wait to go back.

Attended a company conference at The Mere Golf Resort & Spa, rooms were very comfortable and of high standard, facilities available were excellent and the food was of a high standard, the staff were all very attentive, friendly, helpfull and welcoming. Top marks all round.

The food was excellent. I enjoyed the whole experience. I would recommend the Mere as a weekend break for anyone who enjoyed high quality at a good price.

Having attended the Chester business awards, it was absolutely beautiful and really set the scene. Hard work had been put into place to achieve the outcome.

The building itself is lovely, very spacious and easily accessible. Having spoken to those who have stayed for the spa previously they had nothing but good reviews. Will definitely be keen on venturing here again.

Lovely hotel, friendly, welcoming and attentive staff as well. The spa is lovely, was busy when we visited but still managed to get loungers and use the facilities on offer. Therapists great and plenty of options available.
The room we stayed in was spacious with a lovely view of the lake, definitely worth the upgrade!
Food in browns was superb! Best fillet steak I've ever had! Great wine and cocktail selection and service again was fantastic.
Breakfast also great, plenty of choice!
We had a brilliant day and night away!

Beautiful hotel and lovely staff. Great for a nicr spa break. Had the breakfast which was limited but definitely worth it for the price. Hope to go back for another spa break - probably wait for a special offer as can be quite dear otherwise.

Went for afternoon was welled looked after the location was beautiful.

Lovely fairway and well-tended lawns. The staff here are very attentive and friendly, and the club has a nice open feel to it. Definitely the best one in Cheshire.

Used the spa facilities for my sister's hen party, alongside having a couple of treatments.
The facilities were lovely, and the lunch was delicious.
I did somewhat feel like it was lacking in personal touches and that we were on a conveyor belt.

No champagne with champagne afternoon tea. Salt room not working. In need of an upgrade in some areas.

Great place for party. It was very noisy there. I could not really relax. Too much people where in the pool and I could not find my shorts anymore after swiming in the pool.

Went out for a dinner with some friends at Browns restaurant. Food was excellent we really enjoyed. Service seems to be okay and staff are polite and friendly. Plenty of parking spaces. Highly recommended the browns restaurant.

Fantastic place. If you love golf this is the hotel to stay at in the Manchester area. Large luxurious rooms at a good price and a great view wherever you are.

I attended a wedding here and must say it was a lovely place with beautiful grounds. The room for the actual wedding looked magical when we walked in with fresh flower displays and candles lining the aisle, it was simply breathtaking. All staff throughout the day were absolutely polite and courteous.

Lovely venue for a social event, well staffed with people who knew what they were doing and who weren't averse to mass groups of people. Spacious and very well put together, and nothing overly pricey.

Went for Christmas night out. Excellent welcome, service, food, winter wonderland decor and entertainment.

Parking can be difficult when conferences taking place.

A wonderful hotel & spa. The room we stopped in was immaculate and very comfy. We was under the impression that films and Netflix was free, but you have to pay. The television has limited channels and is very slow. The restaurant is nice, a More

Nice place. Far to expensive for drinks should start looking at bring prices slightly down I'm sure if tbey did this they would sell more building volume rather than making as much cash profit per 1 drink. Also I observed a young lad free pouring a 25ml shot of spirit rightfully infront of the customer but blantanly under pouring at least 5ml each shot, I'm not sure if this is deliberately done or lack of free pour training but considering the prices I expect to get a full 25ml not to mention it's completely breaking the law in terms of weights and measures.

Fabulous stay. Was expecting to be underwhelmed. For lunch partners pasta stunning. My Bacon & Brie was literally just that, nothing special, no care in it but made up with lots of bacon. Service was exemplary. So was thinking the rest would be hit and miss. So wrong. The room was excellent and a good size with lake view. The complimentary Jack Rabbit Prosecco was excellent. Dinner in Browns was stunning as was the service. Rib Eye perfection. Good wine. Fabulous bed and lovely temperature controlled room. Room Doors do needs arrestors to prevent slamming though as other guests don't seem to be able to close a door these days. National scandal. Looking for the excuse to go again. Soon.

Was a very good night although the road outside was awful and the traffic management is not there.

Looks nice but had problems with the bathroom in our room and food options weren't good enough especially as I was travelling with a vegan. For example there is no need for chips to be cook alongside meat.

It's ok for a hotel if this standard. Compares well with other luxury hotels. Spa is well done, children only allowed in pool at certain times so best check (either to avoid or take it!)

Great spa. I think its due some attention is the spa area to renew certain areas. Staff was brilliant and very helpful. Food in the club lounge was also great!

Stunning surroundings. We went for afternoon tea. Staff were very curteous and friendly. Would highly recommend.

Service brutal. Charged double for room. Policy on payment never heard of before. Ordered a meal and mains came before starters. Never be back . Not recommended

Traditional luxury Golf & Spar Resort. The room is very nice and clean and willing to visit again.

Went to a wedding here, the venue is very nice. Nice seating with plenty of space, also can relax on the terrace outside and enjoy the views. Plenty of parking too.

Absolutely loved it here . Charlotte on reception was especially helpful. So clean and nice .

Really really nice. Lavishly decorated rooms, great food and amazing scenery. If you like golf I expect it's even more amazing. I don't, but it didn't spoil my enjoyment of the hotel.

the mere is were i had my wedding the hotel is fabulous i could not complain but the only problem i experienced was the lady DANIELLE from events whom i organised my day with. Very rude very ignorant, charged over to myself the bride and the groom in front of guests demanding payment when the hotel had my credit card details. Also organised the room completely wrong not as i ask her too. Very dissapointing I am yet to contact the owner of The mere. Do ask if you ever organise anything for it not to be Danielle who you deal with. She will ruin your day.

A truly lovely spa experience!. From the moment I arrived I was greeted by friendly, attentive staff which continued throughout the day. When my friend arrived everything was explained to us and we were given a mini tour of the facilities plus taken personally throughout the day to each treatment; mainly by Liv who was so friendly and professional. A real asset to the establishment!. The facilities were great, experiencing the aromatherapy room, salt room, caldarium and sauna was just so relaxing although we found ourselves quite alert again after a rub down with the crushed ice available. We had the mud experience and a facial booked as our treatments. The mud was so different to anything I'd done before and would highly recommend it. The facial was absolutely fabulous, I felt so relaxed and floated out of the room on its completion. We were then ushered into the deep relaxation room where we could stay on the adjustable beds for as long as we wanted to. In addition afternoon tea was nice although would have been nice to have a top up of sandwiches and tea but overall a fabulous experience and would love to return again soon, so worth the hour and a half journey!.
