Food was beautiful. Jana gave the best massage. I suffer with joint pain and she fixed me up. The room was lovely, the customer service was even better. Thanks
Had a two treatment spa day with afternoon tea went with the husband had a really lovely day Have been once before and it was as good as the first time did not disappoint Would recommend the spa town everyone have been to others but the Mere is the best out of all All the staff are lovely and all the facilities are brilliant deserves more than a 5 star
Excellent rooms and great breakfast. Everyone was really friendly and the actual hotel was stunning. Definitely recommend for another stay
Work function, required a special meal and they tried to force me to have a vegetarian option, when I am NOT a vegetarian. Queuing for bar for over 20 mins with NO movement as only 1 person serving and one taking payments. Rediculous for a function.
I enjoyed a delightful afternoon tea with my mother. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. Just would certainly go again.
Made very welcome and looked after by all the staff fabulous day including perfect weather for our golf day
Beautiful hotel, good golf course and an excellent spa. Very relaxed celebrating my 40th. Even got a little gin treat in the room with a birthday card and a birthday dessert. Can't wait to go again.
The Best Got Better
We have travelled to loads of Spa's all over the North West and always come back to the Mere, I must say since the new owners have taken over in our opinion The Best has got better.
Everything was perfect from Check in to Check out
We spoke to a number of staff , The two who stand out are the young gentlemen who checked us in on 19th July in the afternoon and Duncan who spoke to us in the morning at Breakfast. They were both genuine , helpful and informative about everything regarding the Mere
We have nothing bad to say about the Mere , a great experience and we cant wait to go back.
Afternoon Tea
Honest review is it was ok, just not as good as previous visits sadly. We had our Prosecco but waited 40 minutes for our afternoon tea to arrive. Lovely cakes but only a selection of 3, scones were beautiful and light and sandwiches just ok. We had to ask for our tea and even then our milk was forgotten. Putting it down to a bad day and will return.
Afternoon tea very good also service friendly staff
My local gym and spa. Brilliant attention to detail and a real sense of luxury
A voucher from groupon bought as a xmas present. Arrived sunday checked in 2.00pm,told the spa was very very busy and it was kids swim time. Had afternoon tea at 2.30,and then had to wait around till after 6pm to try to use the spa. Was still really busy, didn't stay long. Booked evening meal for 7.45pm,meal was really nice but service was terrible. We sat waiting for our meal for ages ,wasn't just ourselves other people were complaining about how long they had waited also. Once we'd eaten our meal we waited ages for a sweet menu which we had to wait for..
Shame food lovely service not good. I feel if should tell guests thinking of booking for overnight sunday that the spa is basically out of bounds till after 6pm,because of children. I definitely would not return was disappointing.
Very peaceful place lovely views and food was great .
Best Hotel near Manchester Airport And my favourite at that end of the world! The restaurant is superb too and it is worth booking a package
Visited the resort on Monday for afternoon tea . Would definitely recommend the food it was delicious and well presented . Nothing was too much trouble and the service from the waiter and Kim was excellent so friendly . Look forward to return visit soon
The location was clean aesthetically pleasing and the staff was extremely friendly
Very nice hotel and golf club. With a tesla charger
Ways a nice place to visit. The lounge, bar and restaurant have been refurbished really nicely!
Great Spa experience and the afternoon tea was delicious. Staff were very friendly and the health club was very tidy.
The Mere is a golf resort and spa. The golf course is average, the hotel is very nice and the staff are friendly. The rooms are comfortable and quite modern. There are ten houses on the opposite side of the lake apparently owned by premier League footballers. It's that kind of area. Other guests at the hotel seemed desperate to convey that they were part of the millionaire world, but were just fat blokes in bad jumpers.
a lot of greenery and peace a good place for occasional parties
Overall a very nice hotel with clean, relaxed spa area but with awful services.
Nice room and spa. More info about the facilities (time of breakfast and spa opening time) would have been beneficial
Great location, lake view room was very nice, staff very friendly and helpful. Only letdown as far as I'm concerned was a lack of a real bar, and the food in the lake view restaurant.
Visited here for a overnight spa stay. Desk staff were welcoming and informative allowing us to check in slightly early to make use of the facilities. Had the afternoon tea in the restaurant which was delicious. The spa was excellent with friendly and professional staff. We visited in half term and the pool was very busy in the afternoon with children not a problem for us but might be for some. This meant getting a lounger or somewhere to sit difficult. We ate in the Club House and found the service and bar food to be excellent. Room was spacious modern and clean. Overall we were very well looked after. Recommended for a relaxing night or two away.
