Service was a little slow even though no one was there, but the food was great
Service was a little slow even though no one was there, but the food was great
Beautiful place no swimming pool is the only downfall prices a little high but fair
Only a one night and what a fantastic hotel, we will definitely be back
Fab! In the Library bar to hear Pat Peterson from 5:30 to 8:00 pm. Absolutely wonderful! She was a Rayette! In the 60's!
Very nice hotel, historic and tasteful furnishing. Comfortable bed and the Library bar serves food late!
We attended the Library for drinks the other night. The atmosphere was awesome, seats super comfy, singer was amazing, and drinks were tasty and generous pours. I will definitely go back there!
No pool, run down
More like an old folks rest area
If you are looking for a hotel with old world charm, luxury, comfort and service you have found the place. I just spent a week there and everything is of the highest quality with professional and friendly service to match. In an era of cold, commercial and cookie cutter hotels, the Warwick Melrose stands out.
Due to covid we did not have the room cleaned. Other than that our stay was great! The hotel is old and beautiful. My view of uptown Dallas was perfect. The staff there went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. I loved the location! Able to walk everywhere i wanted and did not need my car. Ps. The guys at the valet are so nice!!! Everyone was friendly, courteous, and just so professional. Definitely coming back.
Staff was super nice and very helpful. Rooms are a bit pricey and you hear everything going on in the hallways. Had to stay here for a business event otherwise I would stay elsewhere next time. Overall had a nice room with nice accommodations but it was a bit more than I was wanting to pay.
Good location. Restaurants within walking distance. Nice bar/restaurant inside. Clean, comfy rooms. Free wifi. And a car on-site that will take you anywhere within 3 miles (just tip the driver). Pretty great for an easy work stop.
I went for brunch on a Sunday. The dining area was very asthetically pleasing and the service was wonderful. Food was tasty and reasonably priced. Did not have to wait to be seated. Would recommend to others!
The bar is great and I highly recommend stopping for a great drink sometime!
Landmark Restaurant inside is delicious! Love the decor in the hotel as well!
There is terrible street noise if you are in a room on the Cedar springs side. The hotel is right by an intersection and near a fire station so there is a lot of honking and sirens. The thermostat in the room doesn t do anything except turn on a fan. The rooms have no microwave or mini fridge. One day that I stayed I was disrupted twice with no warning when they changed the lock on the door. When I arrived there was no hand soap and the bathmat looked used.
Beautiful hotel. In town for a wedding and had a great experience here.
This is a great place to stay. The runs are emaculate and have charm. The staff was very helpful in helping me with my evening party plans.
Classic hotel. Nice rooms. Street facing room is a little noisy but i still got a good night's sleep.
Beautiful, historic hotel with exceptional service!
I like the old hotel, nice remodel, good bed with nice pillows. Only negative was the low flow water in sinks/toilets. Be prepared for the expensive valet. Nice breakfast and bar.
Very elegant, clean, centrally located, and friendly staff. Had a fabulous stay!
I just love the lobby and cocktail lounge here.
They had a live singer while we were there having drinks, an uncommon treat.
Great loungy feel, piano music, very chill spot to grab a drink. Drinks were a bit pricey, but lovely atmosphere.
Elegant, classy wonderfully restored structure with geuine catering to the clients
Mind blowing room, great lobby, perfect pricing. What more can I say. My wife and I didn't attend the bar that night but it looked inviting and very busy, in a good way. Neighborhood is great for walking to local eateries as we did for both dinner that night and breakfast the next morning. Try Snooze, great modern age diner.
I absolutely love this place. Everything is so nice. The rooms, the bar, the restaraunt...
The staff is extremely friendly, too.
My only complaint is the gym. I'm on vaca, I don't want a gym. I want a pool!!!
On a serious note, no real complaints.
Great classic hotel feel. Nostalgic. Great food. Nice rooms.
If anybody out there is looking for great deals for hotel rooms browse through . reserved a hotel room on there and these guys had the lowest rates any where!
I attended an event there and was blown away by the customer service and the great, high quality food. They had a large cheese and meat tray with fresh fruit, veggies, and crackers the Lobster and truffle macaroni and cheese were to die for, and all the passed appetizers were delicious! I'm excited to hear that they are now offering outside catering. WOW!
Beautiful Hotel, Great Bar, large construction project next door
Great location, friendly and helpful staff, excellent restaurants within walking distance. Room itself was clean, comfortable, and recently updated. The hotel even smells nice. Would stay again.
nice hotel and large rooms - private shuttle for local drop off. under flight path to Lovefield airport, can be noisy at times.
Nice hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are nice but a bit old-fashioned.
I am absolutely in love with this place. I really loved the room and the hot water tub. The staff gives their best to make you feel like home.
Beautiful building .. greatest at parking by a azimg man named Wes.who happily answered all our ridiculous questions .. and as soon as we walked In met by theost wonderful personality and smile KAYLA is a shining personality ..sheade the begining of my birthday celebration wonderful .. the room was immaculate .. the only downfall room service sucks and the overnight front desk staff not very friendly .. I will stay here every year though because of my experience with Kayla and Wes shining jewels
The 3 stars doesn't reflect my views or feelings about the hotel. It doesn't however reflect the 5 phone calls I had to make to get a straight answer about what was clearly my fault. I booked a room at 2:00am thinking it was for the next day which would have been today (Sunday). So, I'm only upset with myself about that. Why did it take 5 phone calls? The hotel had me call the website I booked it through which is totally understandable. Telling me it's up to that site, the site calls the hotel and completely tells me something different. Five phone calls to get them both on the same page. What got me wanting to stay in this hotel were the pictures it's a beautiful place. I'm sure I will be rebooking and maybe then I can give them a better review. This isn't meant to be too negative or to suggest to anyone not to stay but to address what may be a policy to reflect the guest.
I have always loved this hotel, its close to where I love going out with my friends. However, prior to checking in the front desk had ask if I wanted to upgrade my room. I specifically told them NO I do not want to pay the additional fee. After checking out they told me my card was charged for the upgrade and my room was not even upgraded... After specifically telling them no they still up-charge me and its ridiculous. Great location, but the staff is rude and unreliable.
Very beautiful and delicious foods!!! Most honorable!!!
We're there to get ready for a wedding that was at Arlington Hall. Used the groom's parents room to get dressed before and after the event. Room was nice if a little small and older looking. Not sure how old the hotel is, but room felt outdated to other places I've stayed in in Dallas.
Full service hotel and the price shows it, but well worth it! Very clean and very friendly staff!
Very nice people. They are doing some renovations, which is great, but it caused a bit of noise. Otherwise had a beautiful and big double room.
Always classy, great rooms and service , my family stays here often
The ambiance, the great service, the cleanliness, the amazing Piano Bar are all the reasons I will certainly go back!!! I highly recommend this hotel. You will not be disappointed l! I give The Warwick 2 Thumbs Up!!
Great old place in the heart of oak lawn, just a few minutes from downtown and DFW. Great local night life and restaurants within walking distance. A lively living room atmosphere in the lobby with live music on the weekends. Great sunset views and views of downtown. The entrance is actually on the back of the hotel off of Cedar Springs, guidance took us to the front of the hotel that is no longer used and was a little confusing. Will definitely be back for another weekend getaway soon!!
Super comfortable bed it is certainly historic...for the money I would go to a modern hotel....you can tell its as old as dirt musty and old...don't eat or drink any of the items in room they will price gouge you from here to kingdomcom....so sad!
Stayed here at the end of April for 4 nights. The place was decent. The bathrooms are upgraded, customer service is not upto 4 star standards
But one thing of note for people thinking of staying here...check your credit card statements!!!!
Upon my checkout on my last night there, the hotel charged me $130 for a no show fee. When I called to have it fixed the front desk acted like it never happened, no apologies or anything. They just transferred me to the manger who never returned my calls
I had no idea how nice this place was until we pulled up and were immediately greeted by very courteous staff and it was quickly apparent this hotel has high end details everywhere. Bathrooms are large and floors are a nice imitation marble. Think one notch below the Ritz but affordable.
Always a great place to have drinks at The Library.
Very friendly staff and the hotel is old, but in a classic way, so not run down. The rooms are huge compared to other popular brands
One of the most luxurious hotels hidden in plain sight.
Very nice, classic, hotel. Stayed for a wedding. It was beautiful.
Nice hotel but mandatory valet parking for $27 is a bit much.
READ EVERYTHING BEFORE YOU BOOK!!!
I took my new bride to this hotel on the night of our wedding back in June. My wife did not get a single congratulations even though she was IN HE WEDDING DRESS!!! Not to mention that when I called to make the reservation I told them it would be our honeymoon night, not a single congratulation nor did they even acknowledge any sort of special packages to have flowers and chocolate in the room (of which I asked) and they put it off like it was out of their way.
SO on top of all this... we get there... unwelcome... we go to our corner-room suite and wake up the next morning to the sound of construction just a few floors down... (could they not have put us in a suite on the other side???) AND THEN!!!! the water cuts out in our room with out any type of notice. I call the front desk and the guy has no clue what I am talking about. an hour later the water turns back on... I then get a call to the room phone from the building manager and he says "Good day sir. I just want to let you know that the water will be cut off so you may expect to not have running water for a short period of time."
and not to mention that the room service food tasted like some sort of dorm room cafeteria food... All in all, AWEFUL experience for me and my bride on the one night that we will only have once.
I have been a customer as has my family since 1963! Most recently over the past 20 years and I am excited to see the new spa/pool opening up in May from what I am hearing!! Thank you!
This hotel mistakenly charged me for using the mini bar - TWICE. The first time I stayed with them (February) they charged me for a $9 bottle of water I never drank. The second time I stayed with them (August), they charged me $18 for TWO bottles of water I never drank. When I called to get the charges reversed, I was put on hold and transferred multiple times and the hotel representatives were impolite and refused to take responsibility for their mistake. Not impressed with the customer service at this hotel and frustrated by the continued mistakes on their end.
Bleck! We arrived early on Sunday afternoon, about 2:30. In the way to our room, we noticed some cashews on the carpet outside a room, some drink straws outside another, and various other smaller remnants of string and what not. I assumed it was due to our early arrival. The next day, when we went to check out around noon, after all the house staff were finished with or floor (minus the one patiently waiting for our room at the end of the hall) we walked by all of the same disgusting trash.
The room was nice. There is an amazing cappuccino served in the bar with a nice little rock sugar stirrer. And the valets were incredibly nice.
But, if the halls are left that filthy for that long, imagine what lies beneath the surface...
It was very clean, very comfortable beds, very great hotel. Quality customer service.
Stayed there for my brother's wedding. It was an amazing experience, staff were great!
Very nice. Excellent staff, excellent service, very comfortable accommodations.
This is now my favorite hotel. The staff is extraordinary. We had a blast at the Library, Roger and Gene took great care of us. Alex was always so kind when we requested our vehicle. This will be where I stay from now on. Bravo!
This hotel is beautiful! This is a Dallas landmark recently remodeled. It is in a great location. I highly recommend this hotel.
Very nice hotel I enjoyed my stay and will def stay here again during my next trip to Dallas!
Great hotel! The staff is friendly and very accommodating. We had to come to this hotel when our original stay at Best Western Plus (see my other review for that place..yuck) was not safe on every level possible. We really enjoyed our 2 nights, the bed is OMG so soft and I got some of the best sleep of my life. The rooms were super clean and you can tell they care about the safety of the guest. The only negatives I have is for the price per night there wasn't free parking only valet, which with COVID not cool but like I said they were very accommodating so we were able to drop off and drive our own car but still had to pay per night which was a notable amount. The only other thing which is not a fault of the hotel but the crowd is the rich snobby types but that just could have been that weekend. Overall, you won't regret booking a stay, I didn't. Finally, a big shout out to Olve, you really made our stay special, and if Management is reading this give this man a RAISE! Seriously this is why I am even writing this review.
Its very near to the are where you can find the best activity no matter what its day or night. Hotel service is excellent every time I go there and you can see the most delicated gentry over there, they always offer the best wines and best food ever. Last but not least its neat and clean.
Well preserved 1920s elegance and character. The wood inlays in the lobby floors, the ceiling art, the well outfitted rooms and spacious bathrooms all made our stay memorable. This is our new home when we visit friends in Dallas. Plus, it's right down the street from many of our favorite hangouts.
My stay at the Warwick was amazing. My wife and I were celebrating our 20 to h anniversary. When we checked in were told they were fully booked and there was a problem with our reservation. The problem was that they moved us to the Presidential Suite. It as amazing!
Love the feel of the Warwick. The bar and music are perfect.
Ridiculous service told us one price upon checking in and hit us hard on checkout.
Classic and lovely. Lots of attention to the details.
Very nice upscale hotel, beautifully appointed. The room I had was very spacious. I did not hear any noise from other rooms. The only drawback was the musty smell in the halls.
Its a beautiful place .. if you're in for that sort of thing
The service is exceptional. This hotel definitely tries to use its old school allure to pass on renovating, however I was extremely comfortable in my room so it passes for now! Everyone from check-in to valet service was extremely attentive and friendly, so props to service!
Everyone comes here for the library bar, which again has the old school charm. Seen it plenty of times in LA, so don't feel like you should go out of the way just to visit the bar.
This an older historic hotel and has a lot of character, but needs a room interiors upgrade.
