Pretty good exept the waiter mixtup our order. They offered drinks though.

Fantastic meal. In the area for the weekend. Already booked for tonight. Staff are very nice. The food was served 15 minutes from ordering, and was pipping hot. Can't fault it.

This was the second time I've been to The Maypole Inn. The menu is varied, the food well cooked and served promptly. Everything is very reasonably priced and the service excellent. Highly recommended.

Sunday lunch today for my birthday with my family of nine was disappointing. We arrived and waited about an hour for our first course. The meat we thought tasted processed. No-one asked if everything was ok or we were happy. Maybe mid week is better. It was a substantial billl to pay.

Probably the worst meal I have ever had! I had to send it back because it was so salty I'm sure it would have made me sick. Just to make matters worse they even charged me for NOT eating it. While waiting for my wife to finish her meal I went to the bar for a packet of cheese and onion crisps guess what, they don't sell them. I shall never order any food from this establishment ever!!

The Maypole is our local. We visit once a week and also try to get a meal here when we can (they are very busy and popular with great food and you need to reserve a table).

I hadn't been to this pub for a number of years but when I went back the atmosphere was lovely and the food was amazing.

Very nice. Staff are lovely. Certain meals can be made into smaller portions which is great for someone like me who does not have a big appetite. Worth a visit.

I went here Friday night with a few friends and we really enjoyed it here, nice atmosphere lots of parking and the food was epic and big portions too! I couldn t move after my mixed grill

We had a worls christmas meal there. It was not very good Yorkshire so crispy and hard salmon was white not pink .

I didn't hate the place, only had a drink but staff were nice, if we had been staying nearer, sure we would have had a meal

Absolutely first class probably one of the best meals I have ever had the staff were warm and friendly nothing was too much trouble thoroughly recommend the Maypole.

Staying here with Land Rover charity events. Food is fantastic, reasonably priced with good portion sizes. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.

The food was Luke warm at best, when we gave feedback the response was negative and defensive. Mentioned it again when I paid and we were asked if everything was ok, again the response was the same. Maybe some staff training is required in how to handle these types of complaints and feedback.

I sadly chose to visit this pub with my colleagues. Not only is the food below average, but my work colleague was sexually assulted by one of the locals. The pub then backed the pervert and banned us from ever coming back. I advise anyone who is thinking about spending their money to not.

The new owners have completely turned this place around. A very reasonably priced lunch is very good and very popular. It took us an hour to get served last week but it was worth the wait. Highly recommended.

Wasn't the best service, food was very average. I was expecting better!

On 28th June it was our 50th Wedding Anniversary and 6 of us went to the Maypole for lunch. We had a beautiful day, the service was very good, and as usual the food was superb, all at a great price! Thank you Maypole for making our anniversary a day to remember.

Me and my friend came here for lunch as it had been recommended to us and it was lovely!! Lots of choice on the menu and not over priced either! We will definitely be visiting again!

The staff are very friendly, the foot is lovely. They serve light bites , sandwiches and jacket pots as well as a full menu, they cater for children and have an outdoor play area.

My wife ordered a steak which was so tough she could not eat it. It was also rare and not medium rare as requested. Sent it back. No apologies. She said it was the worst steak she had ever tried to eat.

You can tell the people who work there give it their all, friendly staff, nice atmosphere, the food is awesome! Everything made from scratch, the chips are so fluffy but crispy on the outside, onion rings are to die for! Everything was available on the menu! Will definitley reccomend! If i had to be really fussy the beef was a bit dry in the burger but i still really enjoyed it! The tastes were great in each mouthful!

Very reasonable prices, helpful and pleasant staff, I asked for bass which wasn't on the menu and yes I could have it. All good and clean, will definitely visit it again even if it means driving and no alcohol.

We had the best meal in ages & the service was excellent.
