I was with a large party. The roasted brussel sprout appetizer was very good and the prime rib was exceptional. A friend said the cauliflower "burger"" was great. The server was very attentive.

Fantastic Sunday Brunch

Fantastic Sunday Brunch
We took my mom there for her Birthday and it couldn't have been better. Food, service and drinks were top notch. Amanda C is always a great server, is good with children and even brought my mother a birthday treat at the end of our meal. Crab Benedict and Brunch Burger are my top recommendations but can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

After spending the hot, humid day at Ladew Gardens we had worked up an appetite. Manor Tavern was just minutes away and the menu looked delicious. Arriving early, there was plenty of seating available both outdoors on the patio and in the cool dining rooms. Service was prompt and friendly. We had trouble choosing from all the tantalizing choices on the menu. Even as a gluten free diner I had plenty of dishes to choose from. Our dinner was a total hit, each meal perfectly prepared. We will return again soon.

Food is good but can be spotty. Bar is best place to congregate. Specialty drinks is and wine list are overpriced but good, nothing special.same selection everywhere. Management is nice and thoughtful. Great place for a family dinner.

We had the garlic saffron mussels and the Manor burger. Both dishes were wonderful, and our service was terrific. The sauce for the mussels was particularly good, and the burger was cooked just right, and had a lot of flavor.

This is a five-star restaurant in Baltimore County near the Harford County Line. It's a beautiful restaurant with beautiful views. The people were very friendly there. We were really pleased with our waitress you had to wait on five crazy women. We were celebrating Christmas and exchanging gifts and having lunch at the same time. She was very nice and accommodating to us.

The restaurant is decorated beautifully for Christmas. There were lots of windows where you could catch the view outside. We will be returning to the restaurant in a few weeks. That's how much we liked it..

Was there for a wedding reception. The design is good, but they were not prepared for this. We all started to arrive and they had us waiting in the entrance area for about 20 min. Because they were still setting up. They finally let us go into the reception area. And it took another 20 min before they started serving drinks. The food was good, but all the waiting at the beginning sucked.

Have been going to Manor Tavern for 20+ years. In the past, food and service were of a higher level than some of the other taverns in the area. Prices have always been high, which I feel can be overlooked if the experience is good. Last two occasions, I've noticed the staff's attire and personal hygiene has been somewhat on the questionable side. Guess I'm old, but there was a time when full beards on waiters were an absolute no, no. I had pricey short ribs with brussel sprouts, the worst ever. Gravy tasted like Double T diner gravy(no offense Double T), meat dry and brussel sprouts were tasteless. My guest had a steak which was like shoe leather. Waiter became defensive when I tried my martini and told him it was not made right, He stated it was made exactly the way I told him, when in fact they left the vermouth in the drink instead of "in and out" as I requested. I did not want to cause trouble, so I drank anyway ($11). Sorry, when I choose to have an expensive meal, I will most likely select somewhere else in the future.

Wonderful staff that care very much about their jobs. Probably the best mussles I've had. This place reminds me of my grandparents house, but in a good way. Signature cocktails and a huge wine selection as well.

Atmosphere is nice. Prices are a little high. The pork chop I got was a dry and overcooked. The cream of crab soup and the crispy brussel sprouts were amazing and the best part of the meal. Probably the best cream of crab I have had. Give that a try. Huge chunks of crab meat! Definitely will try it again though

If I could take half the star away I would. Google won't let me. Tried to treat my dad and husband to a nice brunch for father's day. Waited 1.5 hours and never received our food. They did finally bring out the kids meals but they were burnt. We never got an explanation as to what was taking so long. The waiter kept apologizing and kept saying our food would be right out. Manager never came so we finally had to tell the waiter we couldn't wait. Otherwise my 2.5 year old was gonna have a complete meltdown.

Horrible experience. Sat outside in their patio area. Had to order food yourself at a tent. Ordered two smash burgers. Waited 45 minutes still no food. I saw other tables who arrived after we did and got their food. When I went inquire they apologized but they had not put in our order. A few minutes later they served us cold raw burgers. Had to take them back. Finally got my burgers an hour after I ordered them.

Wonderful setting. Beautiful fall day with lunch outside with a dear friend. Sliders were moist served on a fresh roll. Service was friendly and not intrusive. Only taste issue was the french fries tasted like fish.

It is disappointing to be writing a 1 star review on a place that I have frequented for over 20 years. I m basing this review on a single meal that I was served to me on 2/24/2020; a meal that should have never left the kitchen. I ordered the prime rib French dip. I should have sent it back but did not want to make a scene. Basically, it was the meat that was most certainly NOT prime rib. It was old, thinly sliced, overly cooked, dry lean beef that was not even remotely fresh. The au jus was flavorless and had a layer of grease floating on top. I will never forget the smell. Not rancid but certainly past it s shelf life. I asked our attentive server to take it back and to kindly ask the chef to take a good whiff of the plate. I was given an apology and a free dish of ice cream. I would have hoped for an admission that the dish was indeed an embarrassment. This is not the Major Tavern I have known for so long.

The food was average, salmon cold when served. Staff was less than welcoming. Hostesses were busy chatting and looking at phone , not even acknowledging us. I heard good things about this place, so maybe this was just one of those off nights.

My friend of more than 45 years turns 70 soon. Her daughters planned the most AMAZING birthday party for their Mother tonight. The service was BEYOND EXCELLENT and the food was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. There were 18 people in our group. One young man, I believe his name was Mike, took care of us flawlessly from beginning to end. We chose from five main courses and everyone was thrilled with their choice. OUTSTANDING EXPERIENCE!!

We ate there for the first time recently. Yes, the setting is beautiful - probably much better in the warmer months.. We liked the bar inside better as far as any sort of ambiance over the dining room. Our server didn't check on us throughout the meal which was disappointing as we had an empty drink and my salad was incomplete. Food was pretty good. We'll try again when we can sit outside.

Fantastic. Kelly, our server, was incredibly patient and kind, and she was more than happy to help with my [quite frustrating] food allergies & restrictions. The cauliflower steak which I've just posted a photo of was absolutely delicious. Served on a bed of cubed, roasted butternut squash and the whole thing topped with toasted pine nuts. I would go back in a heartbeat.

This was had a really cool country atmosphere and was a nice change of pace. We sat at the bar side and had a fried eggplant sandwich (which my wife loved) and the mahi mahi tacos (which were a bit too salty but not bad). We also had the fried brussel sprouts which were really good! And we ordered the flight of wine which was also pretty cool. This place is a bit overpriced as we ended up paying $70 before tip for all of that. The service (specifically the server) was also very slow but I'm sure that's hit or miss depending on the server. We weren't in a rush so it didn't bother us too much.

Excellent food and awesome service! Try the Beer Can Chicken or the Mac-n-Cheese Burger (it just won Best Burger from the Heavy Seas Brewery burger competition). The cocktails are also delightful (especially the Gentleman's Fig)! It's great for special and not-so-special occasions, and definitely worth the hike to the country.

Freshest salads, thoughtful home made dressings. Great service. Friendly hosts. Pork chop, Angus burger and the fried green tomatoes with crab are some of our favorites. Also, after dinner coffee was beyond good in my book!

Absolutely loved our dinner here! They have a range of lighter, inexpensive options (like the shrimp salad sandwich, which is wonderful!), as well as higher priced options including steaks, seafoods, etc. We loved the creme brulee for dessert! This time they were beautifully decorated for Christmas as well!

We had an issue with a visit there, but with a little effort, they were more than willing to make things right. Went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with a resolution. I wont hesitate to visit them again. It's nice to see a business step up and take responsibility for a mistake. Good job Manor Tavern....we are satisfied customers.

The Manor Tavern is 2 minutes from our home and I have been going there since my 20's (turned 41 yesterday) and we have been really enjoying eating here since the new owners bought it. We went here for my birthday yesterday and our meal was amazing! We ordered the Angels on horseback, Kale chips and truffle fries for appetizers. The oysters were tender and lightly breaded with just the right amount of spices, not too salty, really good. I was the only one who enjoyed the Kale chips, but my son 7, did at least try them. Loved the sweet chili pepper sauce that the came with too. The truffle fries were a hit with all four of us, so delicious!

Knowing that they grow everything fresh, in their garden right outside the restaurant, I never miss the chance to order something with veggies. I ordered the grilled romaine with root vegetables, crumbled feta, sunflowers seeds and fig dressing. Let me say that it is a whole head of romaine cut in half so this is a meal in and of itself. It was perfect! The carrots and beets were roasted perfectly and feta was so fresh and creamy. I couldn't eat the other half and of course I brought it home and it was breakfast this morning ;-).

Our kids got the salmon and mini manor burger and they were very happy with their meals because we didn't hear a word from them due to lots of chewing and not much talking. My husband ordered the Gunpowder Bison burger and it was of course, just fabulous. Gunpowder Bison is also right up the road from us and buy from them a lot as well. In fact if I were going to eat a burger ( I do on occasion) I would rather have Bison, it tastes like a beef burger but it is lower in fat and calories and higher in nutrients. Make sure you buy from a local farmer though, much of the Bison they sell in grocery stores were fed on feedlots.
