Great, unique place to take your date to, or kids. I love the vibe here but the only reason I'm giving them a four star review instead of a five star is because I signed up for their eNewsletter and they sent me like one email a day. And I don't like that.

Absolutely Fabulous Cinema With Fantastic Personal !!! A True Treasure of Tucson !!!!

Interesting niche movies with a good local vibe. The first Friday of every month, they have first Friday shorts, where they show a series of short films made by local filmmakers. One film wins a prize, which is decided by the audience. Terrible films get "gonged", the equivalent of getting booed offstage. If the volume of people yelling "gong" during a bad film reaches a critical threshold, they bang the gong, stop the film, and move on to the next one. Critiquing at its rawest, and it's fun to be a part of.

Since fixing up the theatre, it's wonderful! Super cozy and affordable. I highly recommend going to Rocky Horro every 3rd Saturday of the month, it's such a blast!

Buy tickets online! I went on a Sunday night and the movie was sold out. I thought there was no way it would sell out, but I was wrong. Love this theater though, always has beautiful independent films and lots of special events. Lots of interesting concessions options as well. Cool patio to hang out in until your movie plays.

The Loft shows movies and documentaries not shown at other cinemas. The lobby is full of old movie posters. The theatres are comfortable and the whole place has a laid-back atmosphere, it's a fun place to visit.

Gr8 old theater, good movies, documentaries. Like all cinemas, the concession stand is SPENDY.

Great movies that you can't see at the big theaters. It's nice that they are investing in new technologies and improving the viewers experience.

It's an old style movie theater and they have very cool old movies. They also have a variety of food and drinks and they serve alcoholic beverages.

The BEST flics, great atmosphere, really nice staff, comfortable seating. Love when they have activities...especially the food trucks. Every city should have a cinema like The Loft.

Always a great time at the loft! They show unusual movies, often things you can't see anywhere else. I especially like Mondo Monday were they show you a really terrible movie and you're invited to Heckle it. I'm in my second year of membership at the theater. Membership gives free popcorn and discounted admission. There is lots of fun to be had at the loft!

My favorite movie theater but, alas, no screenings in person for me these days. In the meantime they offer some great films to stream and the best pandemic-season t- shirt of 2020. Get yourself an "Intermission, Please Stand By" shirt to show your support.

Funky theater. I mean that on a nice way. I love watching my faves and some of my new faves on the big screen.

Went for our first time to a Friday Night Shorts. It was a blast, and we will definitely be back!!

The Loft is the best place for: indie movies, short films, film festivals, summer kids' activities, cult classics, director and actor movie series, late night grindhouse, and everything else you can think of related to film. And some of that they bring to you without having to go to them!

Quirky! Artisan chocolate bar and great beer selection

Best place in town to catch classic films, cult favorites, or just oddball flicks that fly under the radar. Great prices with a great snack bar. The new seats might be the most comfortable of any theater in town, to top it off.

Great clean theatres, a nice space, but freezing cold and concessions are even more ridiculously priced the usual for a movie theatre.

Saw Repo Man here, visiting from Seattle. What a nice setup! The moment you step into the theater, it's straightforward and to the point. The theater's huge, the quality is great, and the people working there are just awesome!

Perfect experience as always! You can tell they really enjoy their jobs there, and I'm sure having Kevin Smith and Jay Mewes hanging out all night doesn't hurt that enjoyment level! Good snacks, good soda, good atmosphere, and the size of that screen! Highly recommended!

One of my favorite places in Tucson. If you love movies, look into getting a membership. There is a discount for students.

This place is a lot of fun if you can catch a flick you haven't seen in a while or when they have a marathon.

I haven't in a while, but So glad I did. The monthly movie shorts was quite entertaining!

I was also a witness to a man trying to warn the Loft about a guy who was acting suspiciously. The manger just kept saying that he knew the guy and it was alright. Then he told the man if he didn't like it he could leave. The man said he'd been going there for years and would never return. The manger just said, "that's fine." Not sure what went down after that but the man and his kids left a minute later with some bearded guy following him out in to the hall.
Seems like the management really didn't take this seriously. I'll never go back and neither will my son or daughter.

I can always rely on the Loft for some wonderful entertainment and a pleasant theater environment!

Great community theater. Comfy with couches, and good snacks and drinks.

I don't like the seats or the popcorn but the price of the movie tickets make up for it. The audience isn't as loud as you would find at Harkins or Century.

I'm SO IN LOVE WITH THE LOFT! This is what Cinema should be! Political and social commentary, insights and lessons on what it is to be human and what it can be to be human, ridiculously fun stuff like Little Mermaid sing-alongs and effing fantastic movies like Donnie Darko and Goonies! Anime wonderfulness -- OMG, Howl's Moving Castle! I think there's a Firefly marathon coming up? And then on top of it they have actual butter on their popcorn if you want! Plus, members get free popcorn, and they offer a free member showing every month! And discounts at various art theaters across the country! (I consider it my duty for myself and my family to have a membership!) It's so very Tucson, and it's one of our treasures.
