This is absolutely one of the best hotels in the U...

This is absolutely one of the best hotels in the USA. I have stayed at many of the 5 star hotels in America and this one is top 3 if not number 1. The best aspect of the hotel by far, is the concierge. Going to Aspen is an experience and their concierge have worked with the Nell and the town of Aspen for years. You can ask them anything and they will be able to provide a proper experience specifically for you.

I was more adventurous and my girlfriend not so much. We had an entire itinerary planned when we got there. Hiking, Hot Air Balloon, Dinner at 5 star restaurants we are used to in New York and LA.

The room, the food, even the doormen and drivers are a 10! We are going back next year!

A spectacular and quiet hotel at the foot of the Aspen Mountain, just a few steps from the gondola where you arrive at the Ajax Tavern for an aperitif on the terrace or a late lunch going down the mountain.
It has a very nice decoration and was recently remodeled. The attention is unsurpassed and it has a gym, spa and several restaurants. Eggs rancheros for breakfast are a rare delicacy and it has a very pleasant terrace overlooking an interior garden where it is worth sitting down when the weather permits.
Definitely a great hotel!

A home away from home friendly welcoming staff and the best restaurant of any of the resorts overall. The breakfast buffet is awesome and they have a sausage patty made from turkey and duck that's incredible!

So after having bad service at Ajax tavern we move...

So after having bad service at Ajax tavern we moved downstairs to the Little Nell Hotel pool area where there were a restaurant and bar.
No one welcomes us or asked if we wanted drinks for 15 minutes. Finally, we asked someone if we could be served. There were 3-4 waiters and a manager talking to each other but not helping the customers.
It took at least 30 minutes to get our drinks, meanwhile the place is empty there was one table with 4 people that s it.
The outdoor fire pit doesn t work, 5-star Hotel, and the fire pit is broken? Wow!
So I asked 3 different waiters for a blanket they all ignored me, finally a waiter by the name of Alex brought me one.

There is always the excuse of COVID, we are not doing that or the other because of COVID, but I know they are only excuses because at other places people are serving without a problem.
The waiters never asked us if we wanted to eat or brought us a menu meanwhile it s was dinner time - 7:30 pm.
They didn t fill up our glass with water.
They don t serve the water with ice or ask if we wanted ice.

No one upstairs when we got back
And we are paying $25 for a glass of rose wine from a winery that I never heard of.
If you are charging that price at least have Miraval, Whispering Angel, or Domaine Ott.
I asked for ice on the side for my rose wine, but the waiter Nate forgot the ice.
In order for a Hotel to receive a 5-star rating, they must serve a drink in 4 minutes.
This is for sure not a 5-star restaurant.
Service in aspen is really going down.
From my experience, the only place you can get good service right now is the Hotel Jerome.

Went for a wedding reception. The wait staff was professional and AMAZING, and the food that was served was delicious. The room we were in held everyone comfortably and wasn't to far from anywhere in the hotel.

Went to the spa today. Even though I wasn't a guest, had full access to the gym, sauna, pool, and an amazing massage.

A great way to spend a relaxing afternoon. Christopher is an amazing massage therapist.

Outstanding contemporary Hotel. The staff are highly trained professionals and have excellent people skills. Luxurious dining, cocktails and a relaxing, casual lobby. Slope side Ski/Snowboard shop, 5-ft. From the slope and 25-ft. From the Silver Queen Gondola. 13-min. To the top of Aspen Mtn., One of four ski areas in the Aspen/ Snowmass Resort. Walk everywhere in downtown Aspen right from the Hotel. The Little Nell Hotel is the nicest Hotel in the State of Colorado !!

I wish my experience was as remarkable as others. ...

I wish my experience was as remarkable as others. Sadly too many thiNgs went wrong. The morning after i arrived there was lots of noise from a family or 2 down the hallway at 8 AM. THE NOISE CONTINUED 45 min. I reported to the front desk. They said a large party was checking out. Ok. But i needed sleep above everything and this incident affected my entire day. A woman named georgina apologized.

There are no childfree areas at this hotel.

One thing management of any upscale 5* establishment should be aware of is that solo/couples/childfree people are quieter and utilize far less services as families . I paid hundreds of dollars for my room and a family of 4/5 paid the same. This means families are more exploitive in the first place even before they use up more towels and services, amenities And create more noise. They stay cheaper than i do : a quiet, low key solo traveler. I was waken by the noise of kids running down the hall

The hotel has cameras on every floor and could have managed the chaos because the party was large ( a wedding) and they could anticipate unruly guests or children. I took photos of the kids in the hall.

I went out for the day and had DND on my door from the beginning. I came back and they entered my room to leave wine and an uncovered tray of cheese and crackers

I was livid. My DND sign was breached. This was intolerable!! The last straw for me. I called and again Georgina apologized. Meanwhile i dont drink wine. I never would eat food that was uncovered. Gross

There were many phone calls to my room which were intrusive , then housekeeping cards under the door. I know how to summon housekeeping if i needed them. I dont need annoying calls and cards.

It was annoying. They even called my house back home about a package a local store delivered to me. Meanwhile my cell number was stapled to the bag.

I left my dog with bellboys at front. I got a ride from them to jerome for a bite to eat since both eateries at little nell closed at 9. I told the young man to call the number clearly written on my dogs vest if they needed me. She was lonely and they called my home number on the east coast and disturbed them AGAIN unnecessarily. I SPECIFICALLY TOLD one guy to call the number on her vest. My instructions were not followed

Nothing but inexcusable headaches and cheap apologies . I think my room was around $800 a night. It was not worth it. Back to jerome or the W i shall go

Rooms at little nell are ok but not near as nice as hotel jerome

I just cant afford to deal with lack of sleep due to large or loud families and breached privacy

My impression of this has really gone down significantly. Years ago i came here for a special liquid nitrogen margarita. They no longer carry it. The staff has been friendly. It s management that dropped the ball

What a good hotel. How well it rests and the personalized attention of all those who work here. There are after-ski events with DJs that can not be heard in the rooms. The truth is that 5 stars is little. Highly recommended The outdoor pool and jacuzzi are the most.

For the price, I expected more and was a bit disappointed. The booking process was perhaps one of the more frustrating experiences I've had. PJ would not return my calls and was very unprofessional and unapologetic. Additionally, my boyfriend and I got massages at the spa, and my masseuse talked throughout the entire hour. Next time I'm in Aspen, I'll be giving Hotel Jerome a try instead.

I stayed at the Little Nell a few weeks ago July 11-12 when I was supposed to be in Fairfield, CT playing in the US Senior Women's Open but it got cancelled due to Covid 19. Getting over such a big disappointment was fairly easy staying at The Little Nell. What a greeting by the staff upon arrival and my two little dogs had dog beds in the room and a gift bag for them too! The care the staff took to be clean and safe was amazing! The hotel was spotless and everyone did social distancing perfectly! It's by far the best hotel I have ever stayed at in my life and I have traveled a lot all over the world!! Treat yourself to a stay at The Little Nell......what a great gift to yourself!
