Great facilities and equipment. Always busy during the academic year but that's inevitable. So summers are great!

If it wasn't for the country music playing at a work out place it would be five stars, but listening to people wail about dirt roads, cold beer, and how she left him totally kills the mood.
This is a great gym to be fair. Sometimes a little full but easily worth it, especially for the low price.
Love the gym. But it become super crowded from new years till thanksgiving break then people give up on their reselutions
Tons of different machines, but not as many useful ones as local gyms. For example, they only have one lying leg curl machine unlike my old gym which had 2 standing leg curl sitting leg curl and lying leg curl machine.
The best gym Ive ever seen, three floor, a lot of equipments. There are everything, swimming pool, climbing wall, outdoor programs
Way too small for the student population here. Came to the gym to workout not wait for machines.
Great place to work out but extremely busy during the evenings.
The people are super nice and the range of activity is are good, but the pool is lack luster and the gym gets super busy
Great equipment although it can be quite crowded during the day.
Meh, i thought it would be better.. staff was alright... too busy most of the times!
Lots of equipment and space but the pool is too small (for me)
I love that it has so many sports and activities to enjoy... My only wish is for more dance/solitary rooms to enjoy by oneself.
One of the best place at CSU. In the middle of the school workload, you need to balance yourself and CSU Rec Center is one of the options. If you want to enjoy the peaceful time at the SPA/Pool please come in the really early in the morning. In addition to that, CSU Rec center has the program family day from Friday to Sunday, you can bring the family member for free.
Nice rec center at the University. The equipment is relatively new. They have 4 basketball courts, a running track, a climbing wall, and a YUGE amount of exercise equipment and free weights.
It's interesting that I've been accepted, registered for classes, got my student ID and live in town, yet the rec center won't let me in without paying a daily fee because my classes haven't started yet. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth about the university system. A system which won't extend any courtesy to students they've already accepted, and asks struggling students to pay even more than they already have to. Great way to keep students active and healthy in the summer...
Best place on campus to blow off some steam and stress
This facility has more than I ever could have imagined and the climbing section has me excited and ready to get in as much as possible!
CSU has lots of early gym goers, for sure. I only wish they had cleaning areas to sanitize the workout machines.
why arent you open late on saturdays?????!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Tons of machines and equipment. It can get very crowded though. The best time to go is between classes. The worst time to go is probably around 6-8pm. Blows most $30 a month gyms out of the water and it's free for me as student. Also I've had a lot of fun times lifting with my roommate here.
This facility was average (between policies and gym equipment) but after rolling out the olympic lifting area, this is one of the best gyms in noco. Only pitfall being the abysmal parking that deters me from being a member here full time.
Amazing facility with tons of equipment, usually not too busy
Great rec! Lots of activites to do and try. Loved seeing it be a friendly environment!
Great rock wall with friendly staff. Rental shoes are pretty gross though, I would recommend bringing your own. Gets very crowded in the late evenings.
Your student fees hard at work. Ok climbing area, the setters are really enthusiastic and do a really good job of utilizing a smaller space. The power lifting area is awesome. Lockers fill up quickly; if you want to rent one get there right when semester starts or before if possible.
I go in the morning and it is great! I rarely am waiting for anything and there is plenty of staff to help you find anything you need.
Never anything open that you want, added I always have horrible cellular service and the wifi is terrible. This place is a joke.
The evening is the best time if you like to enjoy solitude while you work out. Seems like there are a lot of pleasant students at CSU compared to other Universities where people make fun of you if you are newer to the gym scene.
Sports facility with plenty of gym equipment and spaces for ping pong, badminton, volleyball, racket ball and swimming.
Pretty good need less benching stations and more leg stations.
So much fun in here. A lot of things going on here as well. You can get tons of free giveaways, souvenirs, get to know different people here.
Great pool, well kept facilities and overall plesent experience
Loved it but i wish there could be more badminton courts
I graduated from CSU and now am an employee here. If I made a list of things that makes me glad I am a CSU alumnus, the Rec Center would certainly be amongst the top 3. Clean facility, cheerful staff, well maintained equipments and much more than just work out facilites for members.
Comfortable, you can find food, books, drinks, transportation and so on. Sometimes is very crowded and difficult to find a seat
Only issue is its overcrowded sometimes. Rock wall, 4 indoor basketball courts, 3 weight rooms 2 machine room's, swimming pool, sauna ,steam room
I have been to gyms all over the world this gym is one of the best I have been to.
Clean, not too busy when it opens, lots of equipment
I went with some of my co-workers who are all college students to the CSU Rec Center. This facility is so immaculate! It is so beautiful and well put-together! I really enjoyed my time here
When I first came to this rec center at the beginning of last semester, I weighed over 290 pounds. I was at the end of my rope and fearing a life with dozens of health problems. That is, until I came here. I have since gone down 130 lbs in the past 6 months thanks to the exceptional staff of the CSU Rec Center! I am in the prime health of my life thanks to this place and the amazing variety of programs & machines openly available to everyone. I cannot recommend this place enough. Go there, check it out.
Great facility and amenities. I'm curious how the basketball floors are kept? People seem to often get hurt from slipping.
Also, there's often "No face towels available" signs up for hours on end and I'm not sure if there's a laundry cycle or routine? But, just some minor inconveniences. I would assume there's enough staff? Not gonna make any pressumptions though.
Had everything I needed for a good workout experience! Will be back!
Up to date equipment and facilities. Staff are everywhere and are available to help
Great place to come and workout. The place is always clean and is filled with many staff members to help with any questions. The machines are up to date even though more are needed to occupy the high capacity of people that come here. The pool is a great place to cool down and have a swim but its not big enough for the amount of people who come here.
If you are coming here and serious about fitness, I recommend coming in the mornings because the busy times are after 4pm every day.
The facility is huge and there are almost always classes going on in the morning and evening so there's something for everyone.
If you prefer to do your own thing, there a ton of machines available for weight training and various types of cardio. Also a pool with a few lanes, sauna, several basketball courts, and a boxing room.
This is, hands down, the best gym I've ever been to.
Huge. But except swimming and gym all the sports have particular day to play. It can be changed.
Generally crowded all day open to close. Great equipment though.
I lift weights so I'll discuss that exclusively. I wish there were more bench and squat racks also there isn't a very comfortable area to deadlift. But there are some great machines I haven't used in a long time like standing calf raise and chest supported bar row and rear flye. Great place to lift. Just think there are WAY too many cardio machines and not enough free weight area.
Half the size it needs to be for the number of people at this school. Not enough squat racks, not enough lanes in the pool, no Olympic lifting allowed, no deadlift platforms, and the plates aren't round. Closed for football games as an extra "screw you" from the stadium no one wanted. Go to Raintree or Miramont instead (jk the school forces you to pay for a membership even if you don't want it).
