Comfy casual ambience. Love that its open till midnight

I really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it was a little too warm.

I m new to LB and I just discovered this place. I absolutely love it! It s a great place to read, the coffee/desserts are delicious, and the owner seems very nice. It has the best vibe.

Got a Vietnamese Iced Coffee and Panini with ham for about $10. Coffee was pretty good for a non-Vietnamese joint. Panini was okay, but the focus here is drinks not food. There are a lot of cake options, it looks like these are not baked on the spot. Setting is your standard independently ran coffee shop. Had a "punk" feel. Overall place is dark and cluttered as part of the atmosphere. I got a lot of done in the couple hours that I stayed. Plenty of table space. This is a good place to study or be productive. Staff was very kind.

I like the vibe. Lots of seating. The dark roast coffee was good. Large pastry selection. Standard Long Beach street sweeping day parking.

Very cozy place... I always enjoyed the Mexican Mocha. One of the thing I love from this place is his owner. This guys is extremely polite and nice. The girls are most of the time nice also. Love the vintage style!!!

Great place for a coffee and dessert and possibly a quick meal as well, i didn't eat. Nice place to study or meet a date. Reminds me of one of my favorite SF coffee spots. I've passed the place many times on the way to somewhere else. Will be back to try the cafe food.

Great place for coffee, or just sit back, relax, and read a book, or anything you want. The owner is super nice, and they have ferocious snacks, food, and desserts. Definitely a place to remember and come back often.

Everything I had here was tasty and the atmosphere is super chill which allowed me to not feel rushed during my visit like other coffee houses.

Casual attitude, good vibes. Not bad prices. They also have entertainment! Friendly visitors there. Check it out. You will like it! Cool hang for all ages and all types as long as you are friendly! No attitude there. I like it!

I worked at the Library back in 1991 to 92. Visited just recently and it hasn t really changed, which is a good thing. Love this place. Still has good coffee.

I really like this place. I'm no coffee connoisseur, so I can't attest to how good the coffee is. I think the prices are reasonable and that the service is good. It's a good place to get work done if you're using a laptop. It's too dark in there to read from a book or write on paper.

I used to be a regular, and when I was my review was 5 stars. It has since changed just from the owner's carelessness. My friend ordered a drink on a night they were particularly empty. About 10 minutes went by and there was no drink at the pickup. She politely reminded him to make the drink she had already paid for and he just said "oh! Okay!" Another 10 minutes go by and still no drink. She repeated this about 3 more times before we realized that he just wasn't going to make the drink and we ended up leaving. He robbed her of about $5 and I'll not be returning to an old favorite.

I just don't understand how you can see a regular and forget to make their drink after they've told you 5 different times.

I absolutely love this coffee house. It's the definitive example of a neighborhood coffee house. The customer service is very friendly, their desserts look scrumptious and I can vouge for their Patty melt on sourdough, Yummy! This place is very relaxed, plenty of comfy seats and outlets. They have an array of books to read. And they're open until midnight, which I haven't come across in Long Beach do far. Bottom line, I highly recommend this place. Great service, good selection of coffee and teas, great food, awesome atmosphere, best neighborhood and you can't beat their hours of operation. Laura N.

Been here plenty of times and I appreciate the relaxes, and mostly quiet, ambiance.
The coffee is good and the pastries are delicious - the fruit tart never disappoints.
There is an array of bookshelves full of books for you to browse and read at your leisure.
Four stars because I don't always feel totally welcomed. Half of the time the customer service is right on point and half of the time it falls short.

Good place to come and get a drink. Kinda gets crowded Inside. And it not allot of oitelta either. But the food is good. And reasonable.

Great place to get work done. There are plenty of seats and wifi available. I came during the afternoon and have been during the evening and it is one of my favorite cafes.

what a gem! I love the library! it's cozy, great lighting, neighborhood coffee shop. the prices are reasonable and there are lots of baked goods. I have seen so many kinds of people at the library since I've been studying there the last few weeks - families, students, all races and genders. the place is very inclusive and community-focused. I am so grateful for a place that stays open so late too!!

Coffee was decent but they have very very limited gluten free options (fresh fruit and pre-packaged snack bars).
Ambiance was so nice - dark, comfy, and cool to hang out for a while at. Definitely a good place for a coffee date.

This place has a great environment to chill, people watch, and enjoy a good coffee. Their outdoor sitting isn't that big, but it's still a good spot.

The barrista was incredibly polite and friendly, the music was a very reasonable volume, the space has a welcoming vibe, and theres lots of seating and tables to chill at. Oh, and the coffee is solid too!

Didn't get a chance to eat inside but next time the wife and I will. Food we got was delicious friendly staff and fast service, looking forward to going back.

This is the cutest little shop eveerr, the service here is great. Would recommend if you need a place to study alone or with a group.

I liked the place. It is set up in nostalgic library setting. Though not many food options, but the place is quiet and you can work or study with comfort. But you might have to wait a while to be seated.

We came to the Library today. Delicious! We had Roast Beef and Basil Panini. Our drinks were the Heather Bar latte hot and a Heath Bar Latte iced. Yummy! The owner treated us to a slice of lemon cake and vanilla ice cream since it was our first time. Before we left we had a Turkish coffee..one hot and one cold. We definitely will be back! You have to try this place!!

Whenever I think of long beach I imagine visiting this place. My CSULB friends would always bring here before heading for the beach. It really is part of the vibe. Also great for studying!

I recently visited and was bit by a lot of bed bugs while sitting in an armchair studying here. Disgusting. Avoid avoid avoid!

The service has been great and friendly every time I've gone in. The atmosphere and set up is awesome, lots of space and places to hang/study. But of course the biggest seller is the coffee. The coffee is just so good.

My new favorite coffee shop. I was already carrying a bunch of books and I am comforted to be surrounded by more. It gives me a feeling of hope that the room is filled with ideas and the evidence of other people's curiosities.
