Like this joint overall. Its always crowded though. I like their selection of drinks and desserts. Great place to study or just hang out with a friend.
Its easier to grab a seat on weekdays than on weekends though.
There is one extremely obnoxious barista, but if you've got a good pair of earphones you should be able to drown her out because she can be a little distracting.

Great place to get some quite work done (unless you come when there's comedians or live music - then don't come) The owners & servers are some of the friendliest people. Strict rules for WIFI, mimimum on Credit Card but sometimes waived, and good quick bites to eat. Bathroom key always freaks me out because I can only imagine how dirty it is.

Great vibe with an atmosphere that is very welcoming. I could spend all day here getting lost in thought while drinking a cup of fresh coffee. The whole place feels homie and that corporate vibe of Starbucks is nowhere to be found here. Free Wi-Fi for paying customers.

I loved the idea of this place, but was highly disappointed in my oat milk latte. It was bitter, and made with low quality milk. If you want a good latte head just down the street to steelhead. I m giving 2 stars because the breakfast sandwich was delicious. Just don t come here for the coffee.

Incredibly beautiful coffee house steps away from the beach. This is the kind of the place where you order a mug of cappuccino and spend the day working or reading a book. They have added outdoor tables to sit down as well, but it's really the rustic ambiance inside that makes this place outstanding.

A staple in Belmont Heights. Come hang out in this cozy coffee/tea shop that also serves breakfast sandwiches (the fluffy egg and cheese croissants are my favorite), baked goods, ice cream and more. The two conjoined indoor seating areas are furnished with eclectic decor and the small outdoor sidewalk tables allow for people (and dog) watching.

Such a cool coffee house! Lots of comfy seating, tables of all sizes, a few small tables outside and wifi. I just had a mug of coffee for $2, refills are .75 cents. Definitely coming back to study/bring friends. I only wish the had an unlimited option for the drip coffee, like some of my other favorite shops.

Great coffee and cakes etc. Loved the German chocolate cake. Good place to work on laptop or read. Seems to have a different vibe than before though, they got rid of the eclectic old couches and there's a more serious studying kinda crowd.

Amazing! Food is fresh, croissants were soft and warm and the coffees were extremely tasteful, I ordered an assortment of muffins and croissants for my coworkers and they enjoyed them all! definitely a thumbs up and I highly recommend this establishment. I will be back for more!

I love this place. Nice seating and really decent sized tables. A great place to meet up with people or kill some time. I do miss the cat that used to live there. I thought that gave it a unique touch.

Amazing selection of things to munch on while you relax and read or book or work on your laptop. Not amazing coffee, but it's not bad. Really, I go here for the space (lots of big tables) and the awesome cake and pie selection.

I came here for the comedy open mic and they won't give me the Wi-Fi password because I'm not "technically a customer" but in my defense they don't sell alcohol and I also have a negative account balance. Luckily one of the homies hooked me up with the password so I could write this review. The bathroom also has a strict "customers only" policy so you have to do blow right out in the open which seems irresponsible considering there are kids here. 3 stars

If you ever decide to buy one of their pastries double check it. One time I got a slice of their chocolate raspberry cake got home and it was covered in mold. Went back a month later thinking it was a fluke in the same thing happened. They do not watch their food at all. Absolutely disgusting.

Considering all the amazing coffee house options on Long Beach, I'm not super impressed. The coffee was good and it has a decent atmosphere, but the service was not great. The barista was rude and unwelcoming. Also, it's pretty obvious the owner takes the cheap route on things. There is a difference between "vintage" and "old" - vintage is cool, chic, and eclectic; old is outdated, dirty, and falling apart. Unfortunately, their furniture and decor is not vintage, just old. The coffee table I was sitting near was being held together by electrical tape, the picture in the bathroom has 2 holes in it and looks like they got it at a garage sale and hung it up without cleaning it, and what's with the cheap styrofoam cups? I'm paying $5 for coffee and I can't get a mug, or even a nice sturdy cup? Just seems cheap and not very eco-conscious. Anyway, still have it 3 stars for the good coffee, the fact that they're open late, and I can see what they're trying to do. It's not BAD, and if there were no better options in town I'd probably keep coming here, but Long Beach has no shortage of amazing coffee shops so I probably won't be back. They need to step up their game - they've got a lot of competition!

Always super comfortable, with moderately ambient lighting, an eclectic and dense mix of heavy wood/vintage style furniture. Their menu of coffees is excellent including some good one-off flavors and drinks. They also have a great selection of baked savory and sweet snacks and goodies. Beware if you go during peak hours, seating may be limited, though there is some outside seating. They have wifi for paying customers. While this coffee shop is very enjoyable, I am not a regular and service seems to make me feel like an outsider- not that I care because the coffee is good, but if you need super cheery, hospitable, over-the-top friendly customer service, you will probably be underwhelmed. On the cleanliness scale; 1 being acceptable, 5 being cleanest: they get a 4.5

The older guy working is very rude. He was slamming things and cursing out loud. Saying that hes not making any drinks because the register is broke. It makes it a very uncomfortable environment. And all of this was at 11:15....45 minutes before the place closes. I guess I will be going someplace else for now on.

There was one woman behind the counter and she was lovely. Offered to help as I was overwhelmed with all the wonderful food options. Total second wave coffee and not bad for that "generation". Prices were modest on drinks and food. Atmosphere was productive; good for work or a date spot. No issues with the internet which made my life easier as I stopped in to do work. If I'm back in the LB I'll definitely be checking this spot again.

Fantastic local coffee with the ambience of a library in a stately old home. Very comfortable seating. Excellent owner who pays great attention to his customers. And a good assortment of tasty sweets and savory food items. Highly recommended.

I love this place its one of my favorite places to hang out and read. The staff is awesome. The atmosphere and decor is unique. I like the mismatched chairs and the used books on the shelves it gives the place a nice homely and cozy feel.

Great variety of coffees and a small amount of snacks. The shop is an amazing viewing pleasure. A long beach stronghold of locals and abundant riches. Parking is not recommend, since it is a store front on a Blvd, but who cares. This is the bicycle city! Blocks away from the beach and shops, good restrooms and nice seats.

Ok i wish i lived around here i drive all the way from Paramount because it's the perfect atmosphere for studying. The workers here have been the nicest people and have been giving me great service. They have the vietnamese iced coffee which is too strong but now i know what to get if I need to study all night. They have delicious cheesecakes and carrot cake. The only think that suvks is the parking but other than that it is my go to place for studying

I first heard about a coffee bar with a house cat and I was immediately intrigued. It's on a cute street with other local shops in long beach. Parking is easy to find in residential streets around the area. I went on a Sunday afternoon and there was an impressive amount of people. However, this isn't a coffee shop where you can chill with your friends and talk. It's definitely supposed to be a quiet place where people can work on their laptops or read. The walls are lines with overflowing bookcases and comic cut outs referring to the diabolical plans hatched by their house cat. The hot chocolate I purchased was yummy. The only complaint is their bathroom is a little grimy.
