Went here for an event recently and had a group dinner afterwards. We had a section reserved for about 20 people. I ordered the lobster roll and a few drinks. Everything was spectacular. The food was amazing. The staff were on point. The wait staff were attentive and snappy. The lobster roll was full of meat and they did not skimp on that all. They gave a lot more fries than I could finish.

Me and my friends went last night to the lobby bar for drinks and music, it was great night and great service with David Miller and Daniel Holmes ,
Talented and professional, friendly bartenders, and they always take very good care of me and my friends. But the unusually thing about yesterday was when an employee behind the counter yelled at us, asking us to not sit in one of the chairs we d been sitting at, in a very rude way, all because she said she wanted to take the chair away. There was actually somebody sitting there before and I was just until he came back from the bathroom. when we asked her about her name, she refused to interduce herself, she was completely unfriendly, but we called the manager "Julie Merritt" that he came immediately to talk to us and made us forgot about that bad experience,
I will highly recommend this place, because the bartenders are great and the manager was very nice .

Love the hip vibe and theme of this hotel. Excellent design. Drink service in the atrium was great but the doormen are quite aloof. We stayed for two nights so were in and out a lot. SUPER clubby on the weekend and it's annoying to have to show your ID to get in your own hotel on a Fri or Sat night. However, once put of the common areas, the rooms are quiet.

The hotel is beautiful and very unique. I was quite disappointed on customer service. Front desk and concierge were not very helpful, tended to rush you off and when asked for good recommendation for restaurants they tended to give very generic references with very little help.
We needed housekeeping at around midnight called front desk and customer service didn t get response.
Room was clean, shower did back up.

This hotel was built around what was once the Charles St. Jail. It definitely has a "vibe" going for it. A great location. Especially if you are visiting MGH or Mass. Eye and Ear and need a place to stay that is right next to MGH and MEEI.

The Liberty Hotel does not disappoint. Hotel is always decorated very well. Service is always above expectations. Hotel lobby bar gets a little crowded in the evenings, especially weekends. The restaurants are some of the best in that area. Build your own Bloody Mary brunch is a favorite as well.

Room and hallways were dirty. Room was nothing great. Our view was of a brick wall of the building next to us. Had to pay 51.00 to upgrade room to something that we could look at out the window because our TV did not work. All the TV's in the hotel were down. We did not have TV until the next morning when we checked out. We complained at the desk and they said, "we are sorry" and would not refund any money. I called when we got home and were told that there is not guarantee that there would be TV. They would only credit us for the $51.00 upgrade. Will never stay their again!

Wow. The only thing great about this hotel other than its architecture is the bath and shower amenities. If your looking for the basic necessities like comfortable sheets and beds don't stay here!!! I'm appalled at how scratchy the bed was- I don't know where they are cleaning these sheets but it might be worse then a hospital bed. Literally my jeans are softer than these sheets and the comforter was very meager- no middle sheet either or proper fitted sheet. It felt like I was sleeping on a rough towel and getting chewed on. My room was super dusty and my neighbors were smoking. I will never stay here again.

The hotel is beautiful. I often walk the park near Storrow Dr and couldn't help but stop by the hotel to look inside. It's an old prison building and it's amazing what they've done to renovate the building. A lot of history and innovation. The building has postings throughout with info on its history.

Amazing hotel. The concierge Mark, made our trip to Boston. Great suggestions and made our stay even better. Helped us find a rare spot to watch a football game and booked dinner reservations for us each night if our stay. Super knowledgeable and willing to help without any questions. Thanks Mark!

This old Jail converted into a hotel is a great place to stay in Boston. They have a couple bars and restaurants to choose from if your working late and cant get out somewhere else in the city. Its location is great too - walk to many attractions and other spots in the city is easy from here.

One of the finest hotels on the US east coast. The liberty hotel excels in all things 5 star, from the warm greetings at valet, stunning lobby, exceptional customer service at check in, to the truly amazing room. However, the true test of a hotel is how issues are handled. We had the pleasure of dealing with the friendliest manager Mirko Bissetta upon checkout who expertly took care of all concerns we had over our stay. Could not be more pleased with the experience staying at the liberty hotel, due to Mirkos interpersonal skills, we will always return when staying in Boston.

As a luxury hotel this property missed the mark for us. They appear more interested in being a popular nightlife spot than a hotel for guests. Rooms are adequate without being outstanding. Things like zero tea/coffee facilities and not replacing toiletries isn t good enough.
We chose this place because of the unique history and cool atrium - you can experience this by coming here for a drink.
The location is quite good for walking around Beacon Hill.
I would look at other hotels for the price range.

Stayed for Valentine's Day. Great treatment from the valet to the front desk. Great views of the city and good dining/drinking options with Clink, Alibi, and Scampos. No need to leave the premises of you're looking for an evening away from everything.

Super cool hotel - they've really embraced the former prison theme. The rooms are spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The bathrooms are great. Plus the location is convenient to most of Boston and the Charles MGH T stop.

Overall a nice hotel with one irritating and somewhat disturbing habit - every time we walked out and requested a taxi their valet staffers (with the exception of Brian, that is - he was energetically anxious to please) pushed us to use Uber claiming no cabs are in the area as we watched one taxi after the next pass us by. It s important to understand that your Google and Waze map apps, for whatever reason, are consistently confused by the Boston terrain - if you re going any distance you need a driver that knows Boston. This is a luxury hotel and hailing a taxi should not be considered a special service request.

Restaurants, with the exception of Scampo s, have good food and good service. Lobby staff very good and bar area is great. Scampo s just doesn t have great food as compared to the wonderful meals one can find throughout area surrounding this hotel.

We enjoyed our stay with the exception of the consistent struggle to get a cab.

The liberty is conveniently located the drinks and food are all good, but the crowd on most weekends is not my thing. It gets a little trashy, but that's not the hotels fault. The hotel is really beautiful and the many floors over looking the lobby make for options of sitting and sipping on a cocktail to being in the thick of the lobby dancing. Oh, the DJ is always consistent and great.

We got drinks at one of their bars and when we went to leave there was a mix up in the uber and another patron decided to try and fight us. Once we told them it was an honest mistake, the house security team gave them kisses on the check and then another the large African man who considers himself a 'bouncer' decided to give us a hard time after we apologized to the other person. Its a joke. Did nothing wrong, but welcome to Boston.

Meal was fantastic though, service was fair along the front desk being rigid about balloons being brought in for a birthday, but they agreed to store them in back. And, the parking staff and bouncer for club next door being over the top super aggressive when we brought balloons out of restaurant and then we decided to back in because it was cold and we were waiting for our lyft/uber. There was absolutely no need to be that loud and to scream at two women. We went in with balloons and posed no threat. $$$$ good for special occasion but you better save but then it seems most customers have the cash to dine there. As I said food was fantastic, if it weren t for the bougie front desk, service and parking clerk/bouncer being super aggressive i would have given 5 stars

Red carpet treatment from beginning to end. The gentlemen greeting us,Ethan at the front desk and Athena the manager were so gracious, welcoming and helpful.
It was a vibrant bustling hotel but all details were attended to in a friendly manner without hesitation.
Our room was quiet and very comfortable. When we were leaving Alli handled our luggage and got our car quickly. Two nights at the Liberty was fabulous, and looking forward to a return trip. Definitely 5 .

The Hotel is Beautiful and the History is very Interesting but it is overpriced for what you get!
The mattress on my bed was slanted and the mattress was dirty! I called down for a coffee the first morning 2shots of espresso with almond milk and a glass of ice coffee, the bill was 26.00 and it was literally in a small coffee cup. The staff was great we loved Erica she took great care of us on the catwalk. Go visit the property for dinner or drinks but I would not stay there again!

My family and I had dinner at Scapo. The calamari was cooked perfectly and a each had a pasta dish that was excellent. The Cacio e pepe pasta was my favorite! Chef Lydia Shire even came out to greet us. Excellent ambience and food. 5 stars from some local Boston foodies!

Gorgeous hotel with a unique history. Worth a visit to just check out the main atrium. Multiple bars with great cocktails. Rooms are beautiful. Though expensive, I found the rooms to be top notch and a particular good value given the high level of quality.

I stayed here for my birthday back October. Beautiful hotel. I would not stay again due to multiple incidents. It was 8PM on a Friday and my friends and I had a game on while getting ready when we heard a knock on the door. Security told us that there was a complaint about men yelling coming from our room and that we would get kicked out should it happen again. Our room was all girls and they did not believe us. Second incident of the night: they were having an event in the main hall and required a room key to enter the hotel. The same man who helped us with our bags refused to let me back in after I had gone to my car 50 feet away because I did not have my room key with me. They would not accept my ID and I had to call the front desk to tell them to let me in. Unbelievable.
