Loved the look. The rooms are a little cramped, however, I would not expect anything else from a hotel.
I was just delivering but it was beautiful. Friendly staff, easy to get around.
Great hospitality! Loved the subtle integration of the prison motif.
Had the pleasure of staying here during World Series. This place is beyond beautiful, and the staff was phenomenal. The restoration of the former jail, suited my Father who is an architect and enhanced the experience of our stay. Alibi and the Bloody Mary bar were favorites of course. Looking forward to returning to see the upside . Thank you for the service!!
Alibis front bar is too loud on the music. Bartenders at the front bar also very slow. The balances are very unprofessional about the capacity going to the outdoor patio. Otherwise a great crowd with a Cool vibe
I learned about sliced steak!!
Wine was terrific.
Amazing hotel...was a jail and they kept lots of the original structures
It was all my husband and I expected! Wonderful night spent in the hotel. The staff was amazing as well
One of the best in Boston. Lydia Shire offers an excellent menu complimented by excellent service.
Only went to the Alibi lounge located in the hotel. Really cool atmosphere, located in a building that used to be a jailhouse
Terrible experience with front desk staff who was totally tone deaf and unkind. Worst experience with a luxury hotel in recent memory.
The hotel itself is stunning and the staff members were very friendly, but my husband and I unfortunately still had a bad experience here. We planned to stay here for the last night of our honeymoon because of a long gap between flights from our trip in Portugal to our home in Maryland. With that said, we were tired early because of the time difference of 4 hours and were disappointed when the lobby of the hotel was a dance club until 1:00am (5:00am to our jet-lagged minds), which we could easily hear in our room. Because of that, getting to sleep was a bit more of a challenge than we would have liked after a day of traveling. The most unfortunate part of our stay, though, was that we wanted to order a big breakfast for the room to celebrate before heading to the airport to return home and the breakfast order menu says to leave it on the door handle before 2:00am to secure your breakfast order. We had it out by 11:00pm the night before and when the selected breakfast time came and went in the morning, we called the front desk and were told that unfortunately they never saw our order. They did try to help make up for this mistake, but at that point we had to leave for the airport. It was overall just a disappointing stay for such a luxury hotel. Not an ideal last day of our honeymoon.
Drinks were expensive, but high quality. Dog-friendliness was a plus.
Historic prison that has turned into a hotel. Amazing SPG property with great city and river views.
We loved our experience at one of a kind hotel. They make great use of the historical remnants of what used to be a prison, the decor in the rooms also fits this theme without being overboard. The amenities are very new and well maintained. The bathrooms have a separate shower and baths well as a small extra vanity counter which was very convenient. The hotel staff gave excellent service. In addition, the location is very convenient.
Fantastic! Got lucky with hotwire and couldn't believe how amazing the place was! History, luxury, atmosphere, guest services, everything was phenominal.
Stopped in at the bar to meet up with a few friends. Menu was ok, mostly munchies when I was hoping for more of a full dinner. But the wine selection was good and the drinks sounded amazing. Will certainly keep it on the list to visit again!!
If nothing went wrong it will be a excellent hotel. But all the employee I met made easy promise and then put me into a really bad situation. I have to pay $800 for their mistakes. And just nobody cares. I called hundreds of time and they just cheat on me. I didn't see any honest in this hotel. But it is a traditional rich hotel, well organized. If you have good luck, just choose them.
Ate at the restaurant bar. Wonderful service, delicious food, and such a fun space with an open kitchen.
Service very friendly. Although not super centrally located, but right next to a subway station, Ausleibahren bicycles and many good restaurants. Impressive architecture and clean rooms
Our room was not clean. Had a disgusting smell as soon as we entered the room. Bathroom basin was dirty. Water glasses were dirty, like no one had used them since a long time. Decor was good though; Lobby is attractive.
An attractive hotel with great rooms and a lovely city view, but they try to extract as much cash as humanly possible. 52 a night for parking even if you have a premium room, bottle of plain bottled water is 7, and so on. "Health Club" is just a small workout room, mostly treadmills.
This is a fabulous and unique hotel. Very modern inside. Great restaurants in site as well.
Lovely service, gorgeous room, but noise from the attached restaurants definitely filters though to the rooms before midnight.
Alibi lounge has a very cool atmosphere, be prepared for expensive drinks, but cool experience
Very expensive over priced, poor value, poor service and very poor rooms
For a Luxury Collection hotel, I find it rather disappointing. It doesn't have spectacular amenities, nor does it have the level of personal service that you'd expect from a class that's higher than the typical Sheraton.
The liberty hotel is amazing! One of the best parts is being able to walk right out of your hotel room, grab drinks, and immediately find yourself in the middle of Boston nightlife. This could be a turn off for some people as the hotel can get packed at night time full of people drinking. The only drawback is that parking is $50 per night and not part of the hotel rate.
