Amazing place to work! I was very lucky to come on...

Amazing place to work! I was very lucky to come on as a paid intern, and was hired in the Marketing department for a permanent position after my internship ended.
Be weary of bad reviews of this company, there are several departments, all with very different job roles. With that said, I have yet to talk to an unhappy employee. Full benefits offered, paid time off, tuition reimbursement program and tuition discounts, flexible work policies, and very open to communication. I have never been in a work environment that allowed for so much feedback and two-way communication. This is a great place to start using your college degree, and if you have work experience, even better! Fast growing, job security, no micro-managing, good compensation (with raises and bonuses.)

Just want to let anyone who applies to this place ...

Just want to let anyone who applies to this place what will happen. It will start off great with meeting your co-workers and upper administration staff, taking you out to lunch on your first day and getting the ball rolling on your position. Then after a couple of weeks the stress of the job will kick in, meaning your co-workers will get upset at you because you forgot to do something small, managers will write you up if you have not completed your daily goals even if you are busy with a new training or coming in late due to a personal reason. I know there are people out there who have applied to work here and saw the pay and benefits. If I were you I would look at other opportunities in the Louisville area because there are a lot of jobs who pay better and make sure you can take care of your families. If any new hire has questions I be more than happy to answer. Have a blessed day.

Do not work here its all flash and mirrors. I star...

Do not work here its all flash and mirrors. I started working here when I was between jobs after my company went out of business. They made it out like you would be helping people and everyone is all happy. The 1st few weeks I went though training. Little did I know the training would little help me to do my job. I had to make 100s of phone calls a day. Calling strangers most who had no clue they would be getting called. I was told at my interview there were no cold calls.
I was put on a school by myself with a manager who was so unwelcoming to me, he made it clear he didn't want me there. He was down right nasty most of the time.No matter how friendly I was. The upper manger was a bit more friendly but, I soon learned this was an act.
I was discriminated against for being older and having a disability.I was asked inappropriate questions about my race more than once. What upset me the most is not the fact that I was let go for no reason. But, they refused to allow me to have my personal item from my desk. Some things I never had returned to me. I warn everyone not to apply here. Truth be told I was warned before I took the job.

When I first stared working here as an Enrollment ...

When I first stared working here as an Enrollment Counselor in March 2017, it was a huge step up for me. For the first time in my life I had PTO, was a salary employee, and felt that my position was respectable.

After working there for about a month, I soon realized I was in over my head. I would sit at my desk not knowing what to do. I was calling back status leads- people that had filled out an online form showing interest in going back to college. People spoke rudely, we were not allowed to contact the partner school for guidance. Instead we were constantly told to refer to the SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) so basically we had to use extra time to dig around this thick manual, sometimes not even getting an answer, and still having to maintain our workload of contacting AT LEAST 150 people DAILY.

Fast forward to the end of 2018, I am working remotely as a Chat Enrollment Counselor for 10 colleges- yes 10! I was expected to be a human encyclopedia for all these schools and hand these 'leads' over to a "real" Enrollment Counselor. It was around this time Learning House sold out to Wiley.

My position was eliminated entirely. My manager and Associate Director of Enrollment knew this months before telling us. My team got an email from the Director of Enrollment saying a mandatory meeting would take place. During this meeting, we were harshly told we could find a new job or come back into the office to become an Enrollment Counselor.

I have a child, a home, a car payment, bills (as most do). I felt cornered into coming back into the office. Once there, all of my team went through training as if we were new employees despite working there for 2+ years, some of us longer. It was degrading and humiliating.

I quit not long after being forced back into the office. Now, I would not have bothered with writing this lengthy review if the aftermath hadn't been so horrendous. When seeking new employment, I reached out to my previous manager and director for references. They told me they could not provide references! I had spent over two years with this company and had to reach out to managers I worked for 5 years prior to get references.

Additionally, now that it is tax season, I have received two W2s- one from Learning House and one from Wiley. Combined, the income far exceeds what I actually made from Jan. 2019-May 2019 when I worked there.

This business is a joke. Don't be fooled by the fancy titles and salary pay. The benefits do not outweigh the inconveniences! I could go one and on, but I mainly wanted to point out to prospective employees the bottom line: terrible work environment (management will degrade/humiliate/insult you), they do not provide references even after working there for over two years, and there is something funky going on with the finance department because there is no way these W2s are an accurate reflection of my income!
