Busy on the day we went my friend and I, as it was mother's Day and we hadn't booked. They still managed to accommodate us. We both went for the take wrapped in Parma ham served with potatoes Parmentier for me and a slightly adapted version for my friend who suffers from one or two allergies . We thoriuttho enjoy the dish and the staff who looked after us were very attentive ,''despite the fact that they were very busy . I would recommend that place .

Lovely meal. My starter was one of the tastiest black puddings I've eaten! And I had ribs for mains which were so tender, they didnt require eating with your fingers, the meat literally fell off the bone. Good covid measures in place with all the staff wearing masks or visors

Fantastic pub. Food is fabulous, staff are friendly, they have a nice selection of beers and the atmosphere is very relaxed. We live in Birmingham, but love coming here when we are in the area.

Great place. Great atmosphere. Very clean and the service was amazing. Food was good for the most part, except for the Sunday roast. Had the beef and was disappointed. It was barely edible. Cuts were to big and it was very hard to cut much less chew. I would go back I just won't have the roast again.

Food is plentiful, delicious, with amazing service. Staff were amazingly accommodating, our group had special dietary requirements and they bent over backwards to make sure everything was perfect. So helpful, we all had a great time!

Lovely place, we had the breakfasts and all of our party said they were amazing, except me, give me a plain breakfast with no flavourings and I'm happy, slabs of toast are quite frankly revolutionary, I will be making these at home for sure!

Fantastic vegetarian lunch, great portion and you don't get ripped off buying the vegetarian option which makes a refreshing change. My pet hate being a veggie is when you eat out you get charged meat prices and you get small portions, not at this pub ,really good service and flavoursome food in lovely cosy surroundings

Friendly service and good food in a popular spot. The pub appears welcoming to all - cyclists, hikers, passers-by etc. A nice selection of real ales and affable table service make the whole thing a pleasant place in which to spend time.

Great country pub with good beer and excellent food. They also have an extensive range of gin and do a lovely gin and tonic. Unfortunately I couldn't have one this time but look forward to a return trip soon!

The pub surprised us with very good selection of beer and cosy interior. Unfortunately I couldn't try any ale because I was driving. I need to come back with second driver and taste few pints.
There is also nice beer garden.

I asked for a hot chocolate made with soya milk as they have done for me before but was informed that firstly, they no longer provide alternative milk options and secondly, they now only have full fat milk. A huge disappointment.

Where can I begin? Gorgeous food, friendly staff, recommend the garlic mushroom starter, the fish and chips too and let them know if you're bringing the family pets, they'll accommodate those too inside as well as outside. Outside back has splendid views of the roaches.

The food is standard pub grub done really, really well. The quality of the mains was excellent (the battered fish was huge and i've never seen so much meat in a steak and ale pie). The starters were fair, the desserts enjoyable and the staff were great.

Steak pie and haddock and chips, both Really, food hot and tasty. Nice interior, traditional, open fire, beams and a lovely view from the windows and the garden. Really enjoyed our lunch.

We went for a big family meal here. The food portions have definitely decreased in our opinion. It was way too busy too. We had a big long table by the door, bar and toilets plus there were tables crammed in in front of ours so it was just too cramped. The lamb was very very chewy too.
Need to reduce the seating so guests are more comfortable.

Lovely
