This resort is disgusting. The hallway carpet is typically wet and has an order...there is always garbage littered in the hallways. The elevators are always smelly and dirty...now buttons are broke. Rooms have a moldy smell and the carpet in the rooms is so dirty that you would think you were going to catch something on your feet. Pools are over crowded and nasty as well. Roaches crawled out the bathroom counters.

The place is decent and dated, but there were no luggage carts to carry our things to the car. Carrying large coolers and suitcases by hand was a major job. I suggested to the staff that they buy more luggage carts, but the staff said people had taken the carts to their rooms. They really need to buy more carts so they are available for their guests. What if an elderly person wasn't able to carry their large items?

If you are looking to stay at the chronic inn stay here!!! I was here on a timeshare stay with blue green vacations and this is where they put us!!! The rooms smelled of mildew, every floor ac in hallway were broken, elevators were broke from pool area so we all had to take stairs just about everywhere we went because other elevators were slow and were getting stuck! Pool areas drainage so bad and the stairways were littered with random diapers and feminine products, I slipped in bathroom on pool floor because apparently a worker thought it would be a great idea to evenly coat the floors with cleaning products and leave it, this hotel is rusted and very very out of date! If you are looking for nice accommodations without grossing out over smells do NOT BOOK HERE!! I still can t believe a timeshare company would choose to put up future customers at this place!!

We love it here. This resort is huge, we are on the 15th floor with a nice big room. The view up here is awesome. All staff members have been nothing but nice and extremely helpful. We will be returning yearly.

Clean room and pools. Air conditioning was poor on 60 it maybe stayed 75 not to mention minutes after arriving my 9month old son was struck by a unsecure umbrella by the pool. If your going to eat at latitudes restaurant be prepared waiting 20 minutes to be asked what to drink. Honest advice if you want 100% satisfaction do not go here. I have to give this 2 stars on my personal review... hate to do this but things needs to be fixed...if all these things had been taken care of I'd give it 4 stars. Just based experience all around on my first time staying

Nightmare! dont waste your money families! not family oriented, more brothel sleazy feeling, fraternitys were staying this weekend, drunk young people, running and yelling in the halls, vulgar language and risque attire, (not something you want you children to see) this fraternity was real mouthy with parents when asked to tone it down, they even cursed my fiance out when he held door open for one of them, alarms went off several times at night and even had fire truck come, families complained, they did nothing, until the last night, when one decided to vandalize a machine, then they kicked them all out, just a ridiculous show, families BEWARE! They will choose a fraternity over you! I warned them! It took there property getting messed up to do anything! This hotel was a joke, never coming back! This place doesn't deserve a star!

I've stayed here several times over the years and depending on the price, it's worth it. During this season I was able to get an executive suite oceanfront with a king bed, murphy bed, and kitchenette for only $86, but I would not want to pay the price of $200+ during the summer. We saw a few roaches on the 2nd day which I guess is to be expected, but nothing else the other 3 days. The facility could use some upgrades (everything looks the same from when I came here as a child 20+ years ago) but it was functional and my daughter enjoyed yhe indoor pool and lazy river. The lazy river current was extremely lazy, at some points you came to a complete lull, but it was still relaxing and the water was warm. There seemed to be high amounts of chlorine in the water as my eyes often burned when in the pool or hot tub. I ordered some nachos from Latittudes Restaurant downstairs which were average at best, but became nauseated a few hours later, needless to say I didn't order anymore restaurant food. The staff werr very accommodating and allowed me to extend my stay twice since the weather began improving towards the end of our stay. There were some areas near the ice machine where the carpet was pooled with water, either from a leak or the rain, which nobody bothered to do anything about, but it eventually dried. We got bogo breakfast buffet vouchers for our 3 nights, but only ate there the first day. Options were ok (eggs, grits, hashbrowns that tasted frozen, cornbeef hash, pancakes/French toast, biscuits, bacon, sausage, waffle maker, fruit, yogurt, granola, cereal, breads to be toasted and danishes. Would stay again for this price but not willing to pay much more.

The room was nice, but the people at the desk were very rude. When I let house keep clean our room our room my swim suit bottoms came up missing, and of course they couldn't find them. We will not stay here again!

It's a nice place with lots to do. It need some freshing up. Very chaotic, person directing traffic was very rude and we encountered him 4 different times and still had the same attitude. I'm disabled and have to use a power chair, this is not somewhere to go if you have knee or leg problems. I also had a minor accident and took the sheets off of the bed, called the front desk and they were going to send someone right away. I told her them we were leaving to go to Ripley's aquarium. We returned later today hat evening and our beds were made but when I pulled back the bedspread there were no sheets on the bed at all and a pillow case was missing. We will not be returning here. Honestly it's not worth what you pay for.

Very outdated. My room had broken tiles , fixtures , and the bed sheets looked used . Only one burner on the stove worked. The room being smoke free smelled like smoke. Definitely not coming back

Lovely place.. Not to fond of the motel across the street I think its called Summer Sands motel, while there I noticed a lot of drug activity and even some prostitution. However, the management and security at the Landmark Resort are fantastic! It will be a place I will come back to on future visits to Myrtle Beach...

Where to start.. I have stayed at landmark for my beach vacations going on 3 years now. Last year we dealt with an extremely aggressive security guard that literally got into my fiance's face over coming into the wrong entrance and sitting in the 15minute parking to run to the room to grab a jacket. This year started out as a pleasant stay until the next morning when the tenant beside us started to drill into the wall at 7am and again at various times throughout the day making it a not so peaceful morning or day and to top it off our ac unit didn't work very well. I called to complain and ask if there were any options we had. They said if we had an issue then to call back and they would try to change rooms. (Awesome customer service at first) THEN the power went out on Friday very early morning like 4 or 5 am I would say. It took not once. Not twice not even three or four phone calls and visits to the front desk to finally get some sort of answer which was "we have no availability" to switch rooms so they wanted to change us to hotel blue which in my opinion is a downgrade. After speaking with the manager a couple times they finally told me that there WAS availability for us and they upgraded us to a suite from oceanfront king (awesome I thought). Once in the suite we we're excited to spend the remainder of our trip on the 14th floor and an upgraded room. However the suite has been not so nice. The walls are wrecked. The carpet is wet and sticky (maybe from just being at the ocean)

This will probably be my last stay here at the landmark because we have dealt with a lot of inconvenience when a Vacation is suppose to be relaxing. I understand things happen but it shouldn't take an elentire morning and afternoon to have a problem handled. From this point further I will stay somewhere else. We had opportunities to stay in a house for free or other rooms but we chose the landmark instead and I wish I hadn't.

Landmark. Step it up a bit.

The manager here is awesome. We had a bad experience at a different hotel and ended up canceling and we came here and was taken care of. Great amenities - multiple pools, onsite restaurants and grills, a bar, putt putt.

Arrived at 1:45pm on 9/23/17.

Finally got checked in to room 1120 around 2:45pm. Ariel at the front desk was very helpful and informative. No one at the front desk looked happy to be there and the sad part is that there is a sign on the front desk saying that the landmark is the friendliest place on myrtle beach, but it didn't look that way. Apparently the reason for the long check-in line was because they were short staffed and according to Ariel "they sent home all the help."

Got to room 1120. The hallway stank so bad. Walked into a filthy torn up room. Absolutely horrible and our view was ridiculous...not what we paid for. $120 per night tax included. Called front desk immediately and Brittany was very helpful and agreed to switch us to ocean front. I asked if the room would be clean and she could not answer me, but said that I could check it out.

Went down and stood in line for at least another 45 minutes and finally got to room 911 close to 4pm. It smelled much better and was cleaner, not super clean, but it could pass for decent enough. The furniture was still torn up. Beds are very small and not comfortable and blankets are pitiful. The bathroom is literally a small box. Only an inch or two inbetween the door and the toilet. It does have good A/C and the small partial kitchen area is clean.

Very nice access to the beach. Several hot tubs are very nice and the pools are also super nice.

This place needs major maintenance and extensive upgrades along with a whole lot of good cleaning. The vacuums the maids were using are so old they don't even look like they work.

There is a tunnel walkway to the parking deck from the resort and it's there so that you don't have to cross the street, but when it's hot outside it's literally scorching hot in this tunnel...no A/C in there what so ever.

I was honest with the front desk when I said that I typically don't complain, but this was a unpleasant birthday experience. This place is not cut out to be what it portrays to be online.

The Patricia Grand is WAY better and that's were we'll be at next time, so don't be fooled by the hot tubs and pools because it's not worth staying in a filthy torn up room just for a nice swim.

Also, last night no one bothered to clean up some food that people had left outside near the outdoor pool entrance and at least 50+ GIANT roaches were all over the food...disgusting!

Never ever again.

In the title it says resort but it is a cheap motel. Both rooms we stayed in, had a distinct smoke smell because the no smoking in rooms is not enforced. The beds are hard and need to be replaced the same with the pillows and linen. In a double bed room they didn't supply enough towels and when requested it took them to the next day to deliver. We were next door to people who screamed all night and kept my wife up til 4am and when reported to the front desk they did nothing! They staff have no regard for customer service and are ill equipped to handle a hotel this size. The laundry room is a joke the washers and dryers barely work and your clothes come out smelling dirtier than when they went in. The restaurant in the hotel is overpriced bar food that isn't appetizing at all. Honestly this will probably be our last trip to myrtle beach for a while and I grew up coming here every summer. Just a poor effort all around for this place

I booked through Airbnb, good prices but I do not recommend this resort. It's old outdated, honestly nasty. Roaches are everywhere. I'm not talking little roaches. Roaches that are the size of my 3 year olds palm. I would have left and drove the 9 and half hours back home if I could have gotten my money back. The staff is mostly friendly but having to worry about taking roaches back home with me isnt ideal.

We are planned to stay at The Landmark Resort during Spring Break. We have stayed plenty of times before without complaints. However, this time was above and beyond their normal care. My son has Autism Spectrum and SIDS so unfamiliar places can be a nightmare. His birthday has just passed. Carol and Aliyah are extremely wonderful in performing their tasks! They have set us up for a wonderful trip and I am so grateful. I can't wait to stay during Spring Break Thank you ladies for everything truely!

We had good service and staff was nice, but I feel like I was deceived by pictures. Not as picturesque as it seems to be made out to be. Place seems to be a little run down. But having Beach access is fantastic! Ocean view room is on the side, not facing the beach, but can still see the ocean well. Overall a good experience, prices well especially for having Beach access, only rating 4 stars because it was a little more grungy than pictures depict.

Several water features and many dining options. It is unfortunate we haven't been able to try the on site breakfast. They are apparently only open four days a week. The entire resort feels a bit dated but it's been well maintained. The mattresses are terrible.

Purchased a few nights on groupon for the price it was a good stay. Stayed on the 8th floor, no bugs in room that I seen. I dont think it was a real starbucks in lobby & out of 5 hot tubs only 1 was hot. But we were walking distance from walmart & loved that we could go from back of hotel right onto the beach. Seems like the rooms are not well cared for although everything worked. All staff that I encountered were friendly.

For as resort and expensive as it was one of the beds was like springs covered in plastic. And the pool and hot tub was nasty the water was almost green and had all kinds of sand in the water.

Came here planning on staying 2 nights, but since the weather was nice we decided to stay a third night. At first we had a standard room, but wanted to upgrade rooms. Tish was very helpful and so nice. She did a wonderful job helping us switch over rooms! Great customer service. Thank you for making our trip better.

The access to the beach is excellent. The staff is very friendly. There are okay restaurants and bars with typical prices. The room we stayed in was very humid and the air conditioning was either too hot or too cold. On one of the outdoor hallways, it smelled Misty, likely from carpet and too much rain and moisture. The view from our room was of a rooftop with AC units and cigarette butts.

I was excited day one but after that things went down hill... Roach Problem, Poor Customer, and No Hot Water,.... Unfortunately, it did not meet my expectation for the price I paid....Very disappointed....

Room clean but lacked a few things like how to use the phone for front desk, and had a smoking room with no ash trays. No I've machine on the 11th floor and pop machine don't work. No maps of hotel given or discount info. Asked for room service and not enough wait staff was why there was no room service. The bell men never helped anyone I saw but could definitely sweep out sand from the doors. The pools are great and spas too. You do have to walk far away to get to the amusement center. Not really happy vacation.

We enjoyed our one night stay at Landmark Saturday, August 15th to Sunday, August 16th. The H2Oasis was perfect for our 5 year old and the pools and hot tubs kept us entertained when we got tired of the beach which was right outside the gate. You're really getting what you pay for here. It's not a 4 Seasons. It smells like pot in the hallways. The pools stay open til 11, so there was a lot of noise when everyone was turning in. There's a video on YouTube of a murder in their parking lot. But its only $140 per night, so I mean you're most likely going to have a good time, but there's also the 50% chance you get murdered. The room was clean and the shower had great pressure at least.

Loved the ocean view in my room, just beautiful. Very nice pool area, in door and outdoor, air conditioning very cold, & everything was clean. Very happy staying here and enjoyed our first family vacation.

The staff is extremely nice! I checked in because of a problem at one of their sister hotels and the staff was extremely accommodating on such short notice! Their rooms were great for the price, though I was sad their was no kitchen (but I could live without it) . The pools were all great, and they had stuff for the whole family to do! Great location and just a great hotel to stay at! Would definitely recommend!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a week during the fall bike rally 2019. We were very pleased. The room was so nice and clean. The staff was very helpful friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Will definitely be returning for another stay at the landmark resort.

I've been staying here for the past 7 years. I've never had a bad stay. Just wish the bar stayed open later, and the bartender inside was a bit on the rude side. I'll definitely be returning though.

I stay here every time I visit myrtle beach. My daughters and grandchildren have spent Christmas here in the penthouse. That was so much fun for them. They lazy river is one of my youngest grandchild favorite part of our trip. I love the hot tub. The restaurant is nice also. The employees are very friendly. They make you feel right at home. The suites are lovely as well. Beds are comfortable and rooms are decorated so nicely. Everything is up to date. This is the only resort I need to stay at when I'm here. The accomidate all of our needs. We rarely leave the hotel. But if you need anything, grocery stores are right around the corner.

Right on the beach. Room was clean but dated. Carpet was torn out on the balcony. One elevator didn't work. The other ones smelled. Needs an update. Staff very friendly. Nice buffet breakfast for an extra charge. Most of the restaurants were closed.

Love all the pools and Lazy rivers inside and outside. Walkway over the street to the other pools is a great feature. Prices are reasonable. My boyfriend and I have visited this resort for 17 years and we ALWAYS stay at the Landmark and suggest it to our friends

This place is amazing! Will definitely be back! You never have to leave for anything unless you just want to. Beach. Pool. Lazy river. Restaurant. Beautiful rooms. Very clean. Comfy beds. Kinda pricey but well worth it.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Horrible hotel. There was a door sticking upon our arrival, but we did not think much of it. After leaving, the hotel charged my boyfriend s card $191 for damage we had nothing to do with. This place is nothing more than a bunch of thieves. DO NOT STAY HERE OR GIVE THEM YOUR DEBIT CARD INFORMATION.

Ckecked in on the 7th oct 2020 first night fiance got bit on his feel from room next night dropped my cell phone by head board came up with bites all over my arms manager moved us to 7th floor and the next day said no bed bugs something was in that room for us to get bites. Phone didnt work tv didnt work right lamp kept flickering from a short. Something was in that room we couldnt take nothing with us on the 7th floor but next day are clothes smelled like a chemical not snuggle and then sat the whole floor smelt like pot. Told manager again nothing has changed just feel sick from the smell had to sump a bottle of perfume by door and leave ac on low and balcony door open all night. For these prices its not worth it.

Staff was good. Hotel clean. Waited a 1 1/2 to get in our rooms in a hot hallway. Told they were ready, we got our luggage and found neither room was cleaned yet. Someone came into our room during the night while we were sleeping and robbed us. Burglars took my purse, my husband's wallet and keys to his car. Police was there and filed a report. We all felt the hotel management and desk staff was unsympathetic and not supportive at all. By the way, the door was locked and bolted. They said it wasn't their fault. No security cameras. Watch your stuff. We blocked the door with a chair after that.

To all the negative nancys saying bad things about Landmark you are from up north so your opinion is invalid. Now to Landmark it is a nice place a little crowded but I come down during peak season but thats a plus because I meet people and make friends room is always clean and nice staff is always friendly and ready to help if need be. My go to place to get away from the hills of Uwharrie

I stayed here for a conference. The paint from the ceiling was chipping off onto the beds and nightstand. There was no lock on the back of the door. The staff was very friendly. They offer a nice breakfast buffet for $10 in the mornings. They have an outdoor bar but the drinks are $9 for a solo cup size. There is a place in the lobby that has some Starbucks drinks and pastries. It is located on the beach.

The rooms are getting dated, they still have double beds instead of queens in most rooms. The pools are pretty good but always busy until late at night. Don't know if it was just the time we went or what but there were cockroaches everywhere outside and saw a few inside as well. Never saw any before on past trip. The buffet breakfast is alright but pricey for someone trying to keep a budget. There are half a dozen tread mills on the ground floor that are free for guests and pay a laundromat on site. A 9 hole mini golf and small water park are also included free for guests.

Had horrible experience here. The heat unit wasn't working. Then shower pressure built up and cause the shower head to blow off and injury my spouse head. They did nothing to make us comfortable. Will never book here again now i have to contact a attorney for further assistance.

If I could give this place a NEGATIVE star I would.... there were so many negatives I can't even dream of a plus side! I originally booked a 4 night stay, after the first night I immediately requested a refund and checked OUT! I have not seen this many ROACHES in a bedroom since college! And to think... you CHARGE people over $100 a night for this??? The interior has not been upright since Hurricane Hugo! The "breakfast " buffet consists of old potatoes, grits and eggs...all that looked lounge they were leftover from the night before!

When I went to the front desk to check out, I was told that I had not purchased there VIP coverage for a refund... my response? The VIP doesn't cover ROACHES... now give me my money!!!!

The ONLY reason I am giving this hotel 2 stars is ...

The ONLY reason I am giving this hotel 2 stars is because of the staff. Period. During our 3 night stay, we dealt with a faulty AC unit with exposed wires, our refrigerator breaking twice, our safe not working and having to wait 2.5 hours for a new door, an extremely dirty lampshade and blood on the underside of the comforter and the worst hotel food I've ever tried to eat in the restaurant. This hotel is very dated and needs major renovation.

Have Stayed There During Mustang Week For The Past 8 Years. Its Always Been Great. However Theres Seems To Be A Gradual Decline In Quality & Atmosphere As Of Past 3 Years. A Staff Member Even Told An Elder In Our Family That She Didnt Know Where We Were Gonna Stay But We Werent Going To Stay There, In A Rude Manner. Thats After The Past 6 Years Before Staying 6 Days At A Time & Paying A Deposit Months In Advance. Theres Never Enough Carts For Luggage. Elevators Have A Mind Of Their Own. Elevators Reach Temps Of Over 95 Degrees In Peak Of Summer. Besides Those Things Mentioned, The Place Has Been AMAZING! Maybe, It Just Needs Some Remodeling & Maintenance. Id Still Recommend Someone To Stay There. Restaurant, Bars, Pools, Rooms, Balconies, View, Ease Of Parking & Parking Access... A+! Highly Recommend It For Someone That May Require Handicap Accessibility. Price Might Need To Be Adjusted For The Wear & Tear Tho.

Photo Was Taken On The 15th Floor From My Balcony Lastnight Room 1547. I Enjoyed This Year Greatly Minus The Worn Pillows & Leaky Shower Faucet. Still My Favorite Place To Stay!

AC didnt cool...filters were nasty & carpet was wet by morning in front of it. Rooms are not renovated as the pictures in the ad show. The front desk tried to charge us more cking in & leaving! I had to ask for the manager both times! Then the cleaning lady started coming in with key..no knoc on our door at 9am the day we were leave & then came back again ...key NO knock..thank God the saftey lock was on. Told us the Shriners were coming in she was in a hurry to clean. I dont care..we pd for room to 11 at ck out! Ruined our last morning there. Hallways are nasty carpet!! I usually don't have a problem staying here. I been staying at the Landmark for years. But the last visit will be our last. I saw several roaches in this hotel. And there were bed bugs in several guest rooms. I will not be going back there.
