Food not special, service particularly poor and not all meals served at the same time, don't come here anymore.

Used to be fantastic a few years ago. I'm sure the ownership must have changed recently as the food and service is just poor in comparison to the past.
A most impressive turnaround at the Lamb. Service was excellent and the food very good. A very different experience than in its former life. Well done to the Lamb.
Delicious Sunday roast and starter. Staff friendly and efficient.
Great service wonderful food and good choice of drinks
Nice place for a few pints and a good meal. Kid friendly as well.
Lovely pub, lovely food the chicken chasseur was delicious, everywhere was spotlessly clean the staff were really helpful and friendly, wish this pub was closer to home, we would be there all the time,
Really nice now under new management. Popped in for a hot chocolate, which was lush!! In addition, we got shortbread (for free) with it. Was really nice, amazing atmosphere with a lovely outdoor area. High recommend!
Been done up lovely...great atmosphere. .food very disappointing.
Starters...prawn cocktail served in a silver bucket....90% rocket with about 4 prawns on top. Pate nice ...had to use rocket to eat it as toast/bread insufficient. 2 very thin very tiny triangles of very cold bread & a small amout of pickle.
Mains...steak nice...chips greasy & inedible. Gammon nice but again chips inedible. Fresh (raw) pineapple...I had mostly stalk (middle). Declined puddings as had enough by then....went home feeling a bit hungry. Quite a few other customers complained about their food. Felt sorry for girls as they got all moans.
Will not be reccomending Lamb or indeed be going again !!
Well organised, friendly helpful staff and great food at reasonable prices
Went on a daytime and was surprised by the limited lunch menu, but the staff were really accommodating and let us have food from the specials menu. The food was delicious and really want to try the full menu. The restaurant has been recently refurbished and it has a fab garden and courtyard too. I recommend you give this a try. Really great for families and kids and they have games to play and a play set outside so very kid friendly. Lovely staff. Can't wait to go again.
Lovely setting, nice interior, good range of beers and ales. Gin range OK. Food choice OK. Tasty food but needs refinement and mixed grill expensive.
Always a favourite. Dog friendly. Pleasant to staff and good service.
Good quality food, range of real ales and very quick service. Taking Covid measures seriously too.
The staff was really terrible waiting half an hour for food The food was cold the plates were dirty we just got up and walked out. I do not recommend anyone go to this place as you can get food poisoning the food smelt off staff was not interested just kept walking away will never go there again
Took a little longer to get served than I would have liked, considering it was really quiet. But the staff were super friendly and the food was delicious!
Price of the food didn t match the quality. Was quite disappointed with what got served. Wine was overpriced. However the pub itself was lovely, really nicely decorated and Service was great.
An enjoyable evening with friends with great staff and a pleasant environment, I will happily return in the future
Amazing food, nice cozy place. We had to wait quite a lot cause of Sunday afternoon but it worth it!
Brilliant pub has plenty to offer and a great food menu for adults and kids. There is easy access in and out for wheelchair users and push chairs. There is a big out side area for children to play and plenty of seating for both adults and children. They also put on alot of events so it's a good idea to fi d them on Facebook and add them so you can see what's on.
Best meal in a very long time. Had 3 courses and all were beautiful. My 3 children were all welcome and had a lovely time on the park.
Popped in for a pint after wrapping up some community work. Social distancing is very well managed and the investments made by the proprietors in external areas is well evident. My ale was in top nick and service friendly and efficient. Good recommend
Lovely food for Sunday lunch, shame the service wasn't great.great Covid 19 protocol being observed and felt very safe
Beautiful location but poor quality food and not much for your money. We won't be going again
Disappointed , had the fish chips , very small portion. Fish small in size.
Went for Sunday Lunch, wow what a place. Very well done out with a brilliant atmosphere too. Busy but not so you did not get personal attention.
Plenty of drinks to choose from and the food was excellent and plenty of it.
The staff were very polite and gave just the right amount of attention.
I am fussy where i eat and this is 5 star all round and i would highly recommend it.
Well done to everyone there keep up the good work and standard.
Darren.
My family and I booked The Lamb at Edgmond for Christmas dinner. We haven't eaten out before but neither of us wanted the hassle of cooking for hours on end. We wanted quality time together with no cooking or washing up in sight!
When we arrived there was a slight mix up with our table booking but this was quickly rectified and we were seated. All staff were very apologetic. We couldn't fault any part of our Christmas dinner. Each course came out in a very timely fashion and sufficient time was given between each course for food to settle! The food and drink was delicious and in the end we had to take some food home with us as there was the portions were fab!
Wonderful customer service and really we can't fault anything about the most important meal of the year. Thank you to all at The Lamb at Edgmond for making out Christmas an experience to remember. So much so we are looking to book for this Christmas too!
A nice welcome, good food at a good price. Been before and would certainly go again
All laid out wrong. Bar staff on the phones. Everyone in there and there wasn't that many stared at you like you were a terrorist.
Huge dinning area tottaly empty.
Could do so much more with this pub.
Arrived quite a bit early for our booked table but was not a problem was shown to our table. Decor nice. On ordering we enquirer if the lamb would be pink & was told that is the only way to have lamb so we opted for that. Two of our starters arrived promptly but I had to wait for my soup - which was worth the wait tasty & hot. My husband had squid which consisted of a metal bucket full of lettuce with 4/5 pieces of squid plonked on top. Crab cakes I was told were nice.
The mains arrived & I can say Iver seen such a well done slice & half of lamb I started to eat but the gravy & potatoes were Luke warm. It was taken away & I was told they would do a fresh one but the lamb is not pink. I enquirer it the beef was pink & if it was I would the beef instead. It arrived & to say it was well done was an understatement & still not that hot I had half my Yorkie & left the rest. The waiting staff were lovely & very apologetic saying the chef had said it was a big bit of meat so he could control if it was pink - rubbishy cook it pink if people want it well done you can Cooke there a little more but if you over cook it in the first place.
We did stay for dessert.
Shame as lovely decor & waiting staff but sorry your kitchen let you down. 3 stars for front of house staff.
We had an amazing evening . Gorgeous food and friendly efficient staff. Highly recommended.
Great new pub. Excellent outside garden area and separate child's play area. Food good, reasonably priced. Staff great and bar is dog friendly.
Nice surroundings and friendly service. Had a good evening drink there with friends.
Very well organized and very enjoyable food the staff were very friendly and helpful thanks
Lovely meal no waiting around, staff very polite and friendly will be going again.
Good food, nice restaurant and good range of drinks.
we went for a meal on Friday evening, the staff were very attentive, the food could not be bettered, will be going again.
Menu descriptions do not match food!! Homemade nachos just packet tortilla chips with tin of tomatoes and cheese chucked on them. Stonebaked pizza with rustic tomato sauce and fresh pineapple, with oregano and rocket and parmesan salad More
Came here for a drink- wonderful atmosphere.
Am yet to try the food but it looks amazing, and i ve only heard good things. Keep it up!
Delicious food, friendly staff, a warm atmosphere and good COVID 19 precautions.
Upon entry adequate sanitisation was provided, and staff with masks and face shields showed us to a table promptly. Drinks came almost instantaneously, and food followed shortly afterwards.
Everything was fresh, well cooked and, more importantly, well priced.
Overall this was a wonderful experience, enabling us to unwind during such a stressful time.
We came for family meal and drinks, however left without any food. Staff brought the plates for food and one of the plates was dirty with marks - I have asked to get a clean one. Lady served us was apologetic and brought another plate. Then they served us a starter of mussels, the smell was terrible and we didn t even started it. Even my child was almost sick of that smell. Husband took a plate to the till to complaint and cancel the order of the food. We have left without any food as not felt it was safe to eat and feed 3 year old. The staff was apologetic but haven t really put the effort to it - we have paid in full for drinks and not offered anything. I do not recommend the place especially for a family with kids - very easy to get poisoned. If we haven t ordered seafood and the plate wouldn t be dirty as a sign to cancel the food order not sure what the result we would have on us. Glad we have left and will never come back.
Great Restaurant a comfortable relaxed atmosphere and attentive polite staff.
The excellent prepared food was cooked to perfection - the ribeye I had was 5*
I would just like to say we a had couple of great evenings including the very busy opening night.
Brilliant!! Great service, Great food, Great beer, Great price!! Loved it and will be going back!
Great experience. Good food, friendly staff and lovely surroundings.
Came here for Christmas dinner with family and I couldn't fault any part of the experience. The service was very quick and efficient and the food was faultless. Thank you Lamb at Edgmond for making my Christmas an experience I'll never forget. It's little gems like this place that deserve all the recognition they can get for going the extra mile to make your experience memorable
Lovely pub, tastefully decorated and very clean. Nice Dining Room although I've not eaten there yet. They hold a great Open Mic musical evening on the first Wednesday of every month. Well worth a visit.
Lovely location and building food was spot on and catered for the awkward eating children
Recently renovated to a very nice standard, we found friendly helpful staff, a good, reasonably priced menu and excellent draught Shropshire Gold beer and Old Mout cider.
Well organised with space between tables, food was good but a little slow in coming
My husband & I had a lovely meal on Friday at the Lamb. The pork & hunters chicken was superb & the service excellent throughout the evening! It was quite busy but very well organised & we had a great table in the corner of the restaurant so felt very safe. We would definitely recommend to our family & friends & will certainly be returning again very soon!
Excellent. Highly recommended. Everything you could want in a pub. Entertainment fantastic. Things for children to do outside. Great food. Beautiful outside area.
Visited today for lunch. The COVID-19 measures were explained to us on arrival. We were reassured by the measures plenty of sanitising stations, one way systems different entry exits etc. However these measures are pointless when the waitress stood right next to my son and actually lent on our table to rest her notepad whilst writing out our order! No mask or shield or gloves worn by her. When I asked her to step away from the table she was visibly angry with me. I explained we needed to be extra careful due to having an extremely vulnerable person at home. She didn t apologise just looked nonplussed. We had already observed that the tables were sticky as were menus but we hoped this was due to the cleaning materials now I m not so sure.
One of the drinks in our order was wrong as was my meal. I had to wait around 10 mins for the correct meal to arrive and therefore had to eat when the others had finished. My eagle eyed son also noticed a small hair in my chips. I didn t bother to complain.
The only reason I have given 2 stars is because my sons said their burger was nice and the waiter who dealt with the issue of wrong drink/meal was very nice and good at his job.
Revisited The Lamb on Wednesday 23 September 2020 for my 66th birthday meal with my wife at lunchtime. The Lamb is running very sensible Covid secure operations including one way in and another way out , a chord across the doorway to make sure customers are escorted to the their table and hand solution machine ( foot operated in the lobby) .
A bar area is on the left of the main entrance doorway with three hand pulled real ales on offer including Doombar and Black Sheep beers. A further general drinking area is then past the bar whilst to the right is a large , well appointed dining area. We were escorted to our table by a friendly lady , who shared her birthday with me.
We decided to have a soup and main course . The soup was tomato & basil with artisan bread. Sadly the soup was only Luke warm and the bread was warm but rather odd in my opinion. The soup was topped with a bunch of fresh cress .
We paid our bill on the way out and told the lady in the bar that the drinks had been missed off . She added them to the bill and told us the new price ,we paid but the lady offered no thanks for our honesty .
The toilets are further to right up a flight of small steps , although a disabled toilet is alongside without steps. They are modern , clean , Covid secure with tape ensuring customers are at a safe distance. To the rear is a large sheltered paved area which has outdoor chairs and tables with umbrellas at each table.
Our general opinion is one of disappointment , although the waiting staff were pleasant and the environment is smart and comfortable. We felt the food could have been better .
Tbh taking advantage of the 50% Monday to Wednesday off deal meant that the price we paid was about right for the quality of food we received, service was very slow, but clearly they were very busy, and the staff were very apologetic.
I took the family and grandparents for Sunday lunch. The food was generally disappointing with small portions of lamb and overcooked vegetables. However, the main reason for the poor review is that my 5 year old daughters sausages were clearly off, they tasted disgusting and would have given her food poisoning. We politely complained but it was not handled seriously, the manager didn't come to apologise and instead sent a junior waiter. They initially denied they were off when you could smell them from across the table, then they blamed the butcher, and eventually and reluctantly removed them from the bill. Really poor food, even worse customer service.
Beautiful beer garden, high quality refurbishment, very friendly and attentive staff. Nice quiet location with lovely food for a good price.
Very very good price for a nice decent lunch. The fish and chips were really great, as was the ham and egg and generous portion of salad leaves. Good polite service and a clean nice environment. Not fancy but very likeable. Definitely recommend for a pleasant hearty low key meal.
Lovely place, good food, good service and a nice pint!
Walked in found it was run by an old friend. However lovely tidy place nice beer range hope he does well
Disappointing meals, not as described on menu. Fish not up to standard.
Friendly and efficient staff. Food was very tasty and and didn't have to wait long for it.
Their hand sanitisers are turbo charged.
Food was delicious.
Kids loved the play area.
Great food, great service, warm, family and friendly atmosphere, five stars overall. Will definitely be visiting again. 5
Made it clear that we needed gluten free food as my partner has coeliac disease. Twenty four hours later she had all the symptoms of having eaten gluten. I phoned and left a polite message asking the manager to call me and, nearly two weeks later, nothing.
