Professional experience from reception, exam, to checkout. There is ample parking behind the office and the building is easy to navigate. Dr. Hicks-Graham is thorough, professional, and personable. Her staff mirrors these qualities and all are very compassionate. We especially appreciate that the office is technologically advanced, has a spa-like waiting area, and appointments run on-schedule. Highly recommended.
Went to get a few spots removed and they made me schedule two separate appointments for it which is ridiculous, and also had spots looked at for diagnosis. Dr. Hicks did a biopsy of one spot and the lab result came back incorrect saying it was an ingested allergen and she agreed after I said I wasn't allergic to anything. I went to an OSU allergist for a second opinion and they looked at it for 5 seconds and said it was not an ingested allergen so that previous appt and biopsy was for nothing, some people don't know what they are talking about at all. I will be going to see another dermatologist due to this complete inaccurate diagnosing. You would think a dermatologist would know, she also wanted to re-biopsy the spot of suspicion, umm no. The reception staff was very helpful and friendly though!
I went to Dr. Hicks-Graham for treatment of a keloid scar from a serious surgery. Because it was in such a visible area, it caused me to become self-conscious and I had no hope that it would ever get better. I am blown away by the results! It is so significantly reduced and I no longer get questions and people no longer stare. I don t feel like I need to cover up anymore and I have gained confidence in my appearance. I m thankful for the care I received and I would highly recommend this provider for anyone dealing with keloid scars.
Let it not be said that Downtown Dermatology isn't doing their very best to move heaven and hell in their efforts to serve and address the health care and dermatological needs of our very diverse and growing global community right here in Columbus, Ohio. Like many others; I, too, love this place! In a nutshell, they are a team of very conscientious, beautiful, talented, caring, energetic, and qualified professional women! They know how to do their job and they do it so very well. You can tell that they enjoy working together!!!! From the moment that I first made contact in 2015, I was greeted by a very welcoming receptionist and an attentive office staff that got me in quickly and also helped me with the processing of a very challenging billing and health insurance issue that I had to address as a newly classified senior citizen. I would not have made it through the complications of the insurance claim process without their help. A very knowledgeable team for sure.
In short; I am simply blown away at how quickly Dr. Sheri Hicks- Graham was able to analyze, to diagnose, (in just 20 minutes) what 3 other prior dermatology office contacts were not able to do in helping to resolve my rather complicated skin disorder and concerns.
While I ( like so many others) am excited about the advancements made in cosmetic dermatology and the anti-aging industry; this arena was and is the least of my concerns. I am a patient that has an autoimmune disorder and presented with a host of rather serious medical concerns relative to complications from Rosacea, potential hair loss and the appearance of what may have been malignant skin tag/mole concerns that had/have to be addressed. Consequently, having to deal with a history of complex medical issues and now new and long-standing visible damage to my face and skin from Rosacea: I was indeed hurting. Mentally and emotionally exhausted. I don't know how they dealt with me BUT they did! Knowing very little about cosmetic dermatology, I was indeed skeptical when Dr. Sheri Hicks-Graham and Medical Aesthetician Kourtney Willis collectively prescribed "micro needling/RF" as a course of action for my severe hyper pigmentation related to Rosacea.
These guys were and are amazing. What a team! The two of them together worked with me through my fears ( ups and downs) to resolve my severe skin damage . Much to my surprise and blessing I got the help that I was looking for and needed. I was beginning to believe that no one or anything could or would restore my skin to any type of healthy appearance or condition! The end result is: " I CAN NOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD ABOUT THEM OR THE AWESOME OUTCOMES FROM MY TREATMENTS. MY SKIN IS ABSOLUTELY RADIANT." I enthusiastically commend Ms. Kourtney Willis for her expertise as an Aesthetician whose skills and knowledge of mico-needling/RF rendered such healing and positive results. The demarcations and dark spots have and are fading and no longer noticeable. The dryness and scaly skin - gone. I can function in the world without the use of makeup if so desired. The surprised tightening of my skin and natural hydration is amazing. I have a very natural lifting of my skin as they projected and told me prior to treatment could or would be one of the added outcomes and benefits from my treatments. These guys are great! I had two skin tags removed from my neck not too long ago and my procedure went flawlessly. Amy was patient and gentle with me. I highly recommend Downtown Dermatology. They are true ambassadors of skin care.
The service I received was professional and of good quality. However I rated three stars because my follow up appointment was going to cost me money. I feel that if you want to make sure your work is adequate and healing should be progressing as we both expect, I shouldn t have to pay you more. I work at a clinic and when we do surgery, we ask the clients to return for a follow up but the visit is complimentary because we know if there is an issue, it was likely a failure on us or our education, not on the client. I m not trying to belittle anyone s expertise or education but don t make me pay more for you to check on your work.
I'm so pleased with this office. Always very professional. I've always been seen in a timely manner. Amy Lipp is great. I drive an hour just to patronize this practice.
I'm so happy I came here ! When I first made an appointment, I was pregnant with horrible skin on my face. I saw Dr. Amy Lipp and she put me on some cream for my skin that was safe during pregnancy. Its months later and i still wish i could go back n not have gone there. I went there and they had made a mistake in the schedual. I took the day off and some of my pay that day to see the M.D.
They said once there that i wasnt schedualed until ltommarow. When I said the over the phone you said today. Instead of being professional the desk got defensive and insulting.
But the PA was still able to see me that day so I went.
The PA prescribed me a moisturizer that damaged my skin making it beat red looking like a burn in my opinion and i kept pictures.
I was patient and went back to see the Dr. I told her about the cream damaging skin so she u Dr Grahm was defensive and egotistical and was more concerned about her ego then my condition. Sh In my opinion lacking integrity will get you no where in life and she was very selfish, unobjective and emotionally out of control like a 21 yr old at a bar
I had a very bad outbreak at the beginning of this year and had tried for months to clear it up on my own by trying various OTC and holistic remedies. I had acne covering both cheeks and scars as well. I went in to see Dr. Hicks-Graham and filled the prescription she suggested I begin. It's now 2 months later, my acne has 100% cleared - along with a great majority of the dark spots - and the texture of my skin overall has improved significantly.
It's hard to notice any improvement on your own sometimes since you see yourself daily, but Dr. Hicks-Graham took a before photo when I went in to see her and took a follow up photo today when I went in for my follow up.
I am extremely please with her service, expertise, and the kindness of her staff. I would recommend this office to everyone.
Dr. Hicks-Graham is FANTASTIC! They make you feel welcomed as soon as you enter the door. The receptionist is very professional and polite as well as the support staff. The staff address you by name and seem to remember who you are.
My wife and I love Dr. Shari Hicks-Graham and her staff and we feel we are loved by them. They are all friendly and top notch. They've been taking great care of us for years and we are very thankful for them.

Beware of unethical business practices.
I purchased a package of 3 Rejuvenize(SkinMedica) chemcial peels after at $225 a peel ($675 total out of pocket (cash) expense). Upon my apointment, the provider came in for less than a minute, said yes I would respond well to the peel and exited. The peel was done by a medical assistant and total procedure time was 15 minutes (at most). At checkout, I purchased a package of three peels due to being told I would need a series of 3-6 for optimal results. For purchasing 3, I was given a little gift of SkinMedica lotions.
My friend confirmed she is a patient at Ohio Skin and Cancer center and had the same SkinMedica peel for $165. This prompted me to call Downtown Dermatology to see if they would match this competitive pricing - exact same peel by SkinMedica. After 5 business days, the office manager returned my call saying they would not meet the pricing, stating quality of care is superior for the price. I requested a refund for the services not rendered; 2 SkinMedica Rejuvenize Peels at $225 a peel.
The following week the payment was posted back to my charge card, minus $87. Upon calling the office to inquire why I was not reimbursed for the $450 total, I was directed to the office managers voicemail. My call was never returned. I did, however, recieve a letter in the mail another week later with the receipt explaining my refund. The office deducted $50 for the FREE SkinMedica gift bag I was given (which, I work in Pharmaceuticals and was likely provided by SkinMedica free to the office for offering their peels). And $12 and change was listed as deducted as "co-insurance deduction". However, this was a CASH transaction of services, not to be billed through insurance. Secondly, my insurance has no co-payment at my office visits. Sound fishy?
Needless to say, you can get more for your hard earned cash and more attention at other offices. Upon this experience, I have gone to my plastic surgeon to recieve the remainder of the series of chemcial peels, plus Botox, Juvaderm, and the Obagi skin care line. My plastic surgeon took the time to formulate the perfect skin care routine with me for my needs and goals. Sorry Downtown Dermatology, you missed out on a quailty patient by this experience.

I've had GREAT treatment for several years at Downtown Dermatology. It's easy to make an appointment. The staff is professional and friendly. They also have wonderful and informative events about skincare where they offer good deals on their products and services. As someone who has suffered from a myriad of skin problems from puberty well into adulthood, I've seen dermatologists in Columbus, Atlanta, Nashville, and Cincinnati. Dr. Hicks Graham is hands down the best. I appreciate that she's treated me with products and peels that has my skin looking great. One may argue that you can find the products cheaper elsewhere, but Downtown Dermatology's professionalism, knowledge, and kindness are priceless. I would highly recommend Downtown Dermatology and Dr. Hicks Graham.
Dr Jana Shaffer is wonderful. my first time seeing her was a couple of days ago. she was sensitive, comforting and super knowledgeable. I will always request to see her from here on out!
I have been going to Dr. Hicks-Graham for several years --mostly for medical derm (removing skin cancer spots) and laser for broken blood vessels, etc. Her staff is always friendly and accommodating. I like that Dr. HG has two sides to her practice and has nicely separated them to: Medical Dermatology and Cosmetic. Her staff is very well-trained and knowledgeable and of course Dr. HG is too! I never feel rushed but know she sees a lot of patients...and feel like she cares about the treatments--no matter how small or significant they may be. She and her staff recommend excellent products that do make a difference--and they do not "push product" --rather recommend them based on my individual needs. Thanks for the great care! Would not answer a simple question about pricing. Waste of time messaging them, I finally gave up after two days when they gave me pricing for something I didn t even ask. My advise to them is that if they re gonna pay for ads to get new clients, answer them directly.

The clinical staff is no exception. They have provided me with peels, Juvederm and general maintenance for over four years. I see my visists there as an investment and I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else.

Waited 25 minutes to see Hicks-Graham just for her to touch my head and say I'm not losing hair, in fact, I am and then send me for lab work which they used the wrong medical code and I ended up paying $260 out of my own pocket. Went back and forth with Dr.'s office and lab to get correct medical code to no avail. Never heard back on results of lab work from Dr. Have to now choose another doctor and go through all of this over again. Patient beware! Be careful who you choose as a Dermatologist.
Downtown Dermatology provides excellent service and the staff is great. I have had no issues at this office and they are always available for questions and concerns. Downtown Dermatology is great. From the moment you call and schedule to being taken back to a room, customer service is A+! Great use of modern technology, nurses and doctors all use iPads and computers. They can communicate through Alexis system, which relays text messages (sort of) to your phone for simple yet easy responses. Amy Lipp is AMAZING! She is so friendly and answers any questions you may have in a timely and prompt manner. Look no further Downtown Dermatology is here to serve you. If Dr Hick is booked out, dont worry the other drs/NP are great!
My skin issues are pretty standard. The staff and Dr. Shari Hicks- Graham, are polite, professional and friendly. There was nothing Earth Shattering. I just got a couple next scripts for ointments to try. This was my first visit here but third time visiting a dermatologist about my skin issues.
Downtown Dermatology is the BEST! I lived in Columbus for almost 8 years and moved away last year, but I still come back to see Dr. Hicks-Graham. Her staff is also pretty amazing.
Wow! What can I say...Dr. Hicks-Graham and her staff are the best! I was referred to her long before I actually called to schedule my first appointment. I only wish I had called sooner. Her "bedside" manner is very gentle and genuine! She and her Medical Assistant, Nikki, made me feel safe to reveal what was a very embarrassing situation for me. They were careful to normalize my condition, so not to add to my feelings of shame. I feel very comfortable and trust Dr. Hicks-Graham's judgment regarding my treatment. As a busy office, I'm glad to say, they rarely have long wait times. When she does, Dr. Hicks-Graham ALWAYS greets me with an apology! I could go on, but the long and short of it all...I highly recommend Dr. Hicks-Graham and the Downtown Dermatology Staff!
I went in to see if I was a candidate for a chemical peel. I saw the Physican Assistant a few weeks ago. My skin was barely looked at or examined first off. I told her my areas of concern were all on my forehead... fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation and it's dry rough texture. She basically just says "Botox". I proceeded to say I wasn't really interested in that but would like to try a chemical peel. Then she says "they don't do chemical peels right now because of the sun" "she could do it in the fall"!!! Really??? There is very little sun to be out in right now and I know how to wear a hat! Why wouldn't the person who scheduled the consultation tell me that! Especially because I told her what the consult was for!! I wasted $100 to "talk" about something I can't even get until summer is over and it's fall outside!! Are you freaking kidding me!!! VERY disappointed, dissatisfied and ANGRY I wasted $100 for absolutely Nothing in return!! The fee I paid "would" go towards my treatment...if I had a treatment done. But the lack of service...as I did most of the talking...3 second look at my skin and not offering any suggestions besides selling me a facial cleanser and Botox, I will chalk up the loss. Who knew there area high quality spas that offer FREE Consultations!!!??? Well guess what.. they're are some around here and that's where I'm headed!!! FYI, I never saw the Dr so she may be wonderful...
My husband and I both go to Shari and are very satisfied with her and her staff. I have had fillers done on my lips and around my mouth and I am very satisfied. We have been going to her for over a year now and my husband feels very comfortable with her decisions. We would reccomend her highly.
Weird, condescending, and rude front desk girl..... Nobody deserves to be spoken to the way I was. She kept interrupting me when I was trying to get clarification on things. I urge the doctors to listen to the phone calls I made today and the lack of professionalism on her part. I honestly couldn't believe it. I was asking simple questions in regards to what I had to fill out and she was answering them in a way that would make anyone's blood boil. It felt like she was an angsty teenager answering her mom's questions about where she was going to be for the evening.
Not sure what her problem is but it was so bad I decided not to make an appointment. I told her "if you're going to keep speaking to me this way we're going to have a problem." It was hard to hear what she said next. It sounded like she said she was going to have me talk to someone else and then she started the conversation again like she was someone else entirely. She said "I don't know who you were speaking with before". I am so confused what is happening at this office. It was such a bad experience it's almost laughable. I feel like I just got punk'd
