We loved our time at this ski resort. Our snowboarding lessons with Will aka Billy were great. I wish I had his level of patience because I was annoyed by me after a while lol. The bunny slope even though a bit crowded at times was perfect for my group and it wasn't too difficult. I wish the locker area was a bit more spacious with a few more benches for changing boots. Also, the food is not worth the price just bring your own lunch.
This place is EPIC!!! This resort is HUGE and offers something for everyone and has snow making abilities I have never seen before. The lodge was great, the store was supplied with a little of everything, and the facilities were clean and maintained. Excellent time here and our favorite resort of the Big3!!
Great atmosphere, the people that worked there were very polite and happy, runs were taken care of
Pretty magical! I have a new, added appreciation for this resort after having ACL surgery. I used to enjoy the more challenging runs and bowls at Louise, but now I m so impressed by how awesome a day of blues and greens can be! Louise really has something for every level in nearly every part of the mountain . Can t wait to ski here again!
Excellent skiing. The Japanese restaurant was the best meals I've ever had at a ski resort! We had sake and bison pho.
The Home of the Grislys .. only unfortunately we did not see any here
Large domain, awesome variety of runs. The food at Temple lodge is a local benchmark for on slope food.
Love it here, from the awesome people in the food areas to the awesome people on the lifts themselves this place is gold. Go see Meg at the stube, she's great to talk to.
Fajne miejsce i fajne widoki. Mimo wszystko s w Kanadzie ciekawsze miejsca
Great day no lines for tickets even on Saturday morning.
Always pleasant and fun. Good variety of skiing for all abilities.
Gondola, the rides are a bit over priced but enjoyable.
This is my favourite ski resort when the snow is good. They don't always have great snow, so I recommend checking the conditions before coming out. This year has been fantastic.
Had so much fun! Best skiing I ve ever done. Even on a busy day the lines weren t bad.
Really chill during the summer. Nice staff, and the chairlift is definitely worth a shot. The Japanese place does excellent ramen.
I am updating my review because we recently visited the ski resort in the summer time.
Winter review.
The lodge is a very nice ski lodge. I really like that they have both automated ticket booths and window booths for you to purchase tickets. The staff are all very happy, how could you not be at Lake?
Food at the lodge is a little pricey, as is to be expected for lodge food, but it is very good. Can be difficult to find seating especially if you are in a large group. Bathrooms were always very clean. We are planning to go back again this upcoming season.
Summer review.
The gondola/chair lift to go up the mountain is very fun. My wife and I did it on a day that was on-and-off cloudy. We rode a chairlift up and it was not busy at all. Although I think the price was a little expensive we still had a great time. The staff will let you know if there have been any bear sightings that day so you can decide if you want to go or not. We wanted to see a bear but had no luck. When you get to the top you can wander around the fenced in area or you can leave the fenced area. We left the area (and had bear spray) and did the Kicking Horse Trail. Because the day was a little cloudy and wet it was absolutely dead quiet. We saw four other people on the whole hill. I don't think I would do this again because of the price but I am very happy I did it once and would highly recommend it.
Worth climbing on the gondolas and spectacular views!
Lake Louise has one of the most breathtaking views of all the ski resorts. Good assortment of runs from green to double black off most lifts.
Had a great time visiting the mountains! Banff offers plenty of fun opportunities to take part in
Amazing place to visit.. specially in winter you can go top of the mountain
Great mountain. I have been skiing here all my life
Went near the end of season. Skiing was good despite the expected icy spots and uneven snow. All lift operators were very friendly! Park was clean and tidy. Lodge had a wide variety of services. Only complaint is the the people in the gear rental department weren't that friendly. They really need to be more cheerful down there! Other than that, great time at the mountains.
Lake Louise is our go to ski hill. Its 2 hours from Cowtown but worth the drive. Top of the World Chair was not running so we did not get up Summit, but had a very fun day anyway. A foot of Pow at the top of Eagle Flight was outstanding. DM
Resort is huge. My favorite place to ski hands down.
Lake Louise is a fantastic picturesque ski resort. Good lift system, plenty of tree lined runs, groomed to perfection. Panoramic views in every direction. Great restaurant area at the base for a coffee and a snack, and an outdoor bar and bbq at the finish of the day with a fire pit too. Enjoy your day and hope you have as much fun as me! PS great resort for beginners and intermediates!
Good variety of ski runs, Excellent lifts, nice atmosphere. Free shuttle bus from banff
Great ski hill, the snow is usually little less icy than Sunshine. The village is nice with lots of services and amenities.
Excellent advanced terrain, hard packed snow in March.
The most beautiful in the morning, otherwise too full
Beautiful views. Pricey but tasty burgers.
Friendly service. But long wait.
Wow! Lift served super step bowls. Scenery like no other resort in the world, and amazing powder.
Great place to ski, tons of lifts and the crowds were minimal on a Sunday. Just needs some more snow!
This place rocks. Straight up. No crowds, friendly. Americans, please keep going to Colorado.
Amazing place, beautiful views but as a beginner skier I found it a bit difficult in places. There are some steep sections as part of the standard green runs. I found Sunshine village easier as a beginner but lake Louise ski resort is definitely worth visiting at least once
I love lake louise for snowboarding. Food is sub par but we usually just bring our own food and snacks. I just wish they didnt raise the price every year.
Most varied ski terrain with quad chairs on the major runs, Temple Lodge deck in the spring and sunshine makes for an awesome break
I enjoyed this place, it was our first winter holiday.
I love this ski resort I am a novice skier starting late in life and this hill has everything you could ask for and more. The mountain has more runs than you could even want and is so big it can absorb a huge amount of people. .The lodge is great, loads of space to store your stuff, hot water for tea, plenty of seating.
Friendly and helpful staff add to the great skiing and views.
Went with a Groupon in summer. We saw 3 bears during our gondola trip so be ready to take pictures.
Love it every time. The bowls off the summit lift are dreams come true
By far the best of the 3 ski hills in Banff. Just go easy in the park.
Breathtaking views of Lake Louise from the gondolas.
Amazing steep alpine terrain in the back bowls and a great place for beginners or park rats on the front side. So much to explore there's never an end to new discoveries! Love skiing at Lake Louise
Nice ski resort in the Canadian Rockies
Part of the Big3 (Sunshine Village, Lake Louise and Mt Norguay), Lake Louise ski resort is perhaps the best known for hosting the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics.
Nestled in the glorious Canadian Rockies, this resort offers 10 lifts, over 130 runs, suitable for all skill levels.
The ski chalet offers free boot/bag storage racks as well as lockers for a fee. I was very impressed with the resort s effort to remain environmentally friendly: all packaging and utensils used in their restaurants were either re-usable or recyclable, even one time forks and knives were made of wood!
Facilities started to show signs of wear and tear, the gondola is rather dated compared with some other resorts in the region. The only way to get to the summit was via a t-bar rope tow, although my kids loved the rope tow I struggled so hard with it! A new chair lift would have been much better.
It was quite windy and icy on the day we visited, but the view at summit was incredible, worth every penny!
Loved it! Wished there were a few more easier greens but over all I had the best day!
Very disappointed!! I have lived in Alberta for 12 years now and never saw this. My family was on vacation in BC for 10 days and really wanted to finally see this so called beautiful lake that I have never see. But turned out to be a nightmare. Got all the way to the top of the parking area just to be turned away because we had a trailer, which I could understand but there was nothing that said we couldn't go up that far with a trailer and at the same time had a dog with cancer which we had wanted pictures with him before he left us and the only option we were givin when we were finally able to ask someone was so back down to the bottom and wait for the shuttle and that they may or may not allow our dog to come along with us.
Great experience . First time in a gondola and first time seeing wild bears .
Always a great spot to do some skiing. Lots of runs for all levels. Been here a few times and will definitely be back!
Fantastic trails, good lodges, gondola keeps you warm, staff are fun and friendly with proficient knowledge on your many questions.
We had a relaxing summer visit in the gondola area - at the Grizzly den patio restaurant. Took the free shuttle from Lake Louise to avoid the long weekend summer traffic chaos.
A beautiful resort in the heart of the rocky mountains.
The landscape for eastern skiers is extraordinary. Skiing too.
Best ski resort in Rocky but Parking control is awful
Absolutely great snow here!! Not only that but the resort is huge! Lake Louise ski resort has skiing and snowboarding runs available in the front and backside of the mountain with a large variety of green, blue, and black runs. Depending on the run, you might be in packed and groomed snow, loose pack snow, bumps, steep hills and turns, you name it! The runs are wide with plenty of room for you to practice, especially important for beginners. The gondolas are very fast while the chair lifts are (for good reason) a tad slower. The bunny/learner hills are also plenty wide and long, great for learning and practicing. Lake Louise ski resort also has some massive jumps for the experts and inner tubing runs for those who aren't into skiing or snowboarding. Lots of parking available though it can fill up quickly.
The fabulous Lake Louise, surrounded by mountains. A must see when in Alberta, Canada.
So sure from snowboarding for the first time, but it was an unreal experience here and made me appreciate winter so much more.
Its family friendly good food free ski tours awesome terain and lots of fun
We enjoyed a very nice breakfast buffet prior to taking the ski lift. You have a choice of open seat or enclosed gondola. The ride was very smooth and the views from the top are fantastic.
