Great place to ski groomers and extreme double blacks. Temple lodge on the backside is a good place for quick food. March mountain is fun for blue and just about black skiers. However when ever a run gets very steel there are rocks.
Best resort of the big 5 in Banff,, really long runs and loads of powder
I just LOVE Lake Louise. The scenery is certainly incredible however, the traffic was insane getting into town so we turned our attention to the legendary ski resort. Chairlift rides up the mountain are available to really get a great alpine view, bike ride or hike. Nice coffee and pastries and sit down menus available. So very beautiful.
Great mountain! Great mix of terrain and not a lot of crowds!
Excellent place to enjoy snow and snow sports. Good and easy access. Ample parking. Good sized cafeteria and several options for dining. Friendly people. Good and fairly priced ski/ snowboard school. Very accommodating for children. Fast gondola and chairs.
Really good snow on the hill today. Super crowded with people, but that was really only an issue at the lifts.
Amazing hill with 4200 skiable areas and great bars for afterwards. The terrain park is perfect with there staff working always to change it up every so often.
(2017) Absolutely a very nice ski resort! Perfect skiing especially when it's a bit windy or snowy (because you ski in between the trees).
One of the best resorts within 5 hours of Edmonton, easily a favorite, all kinds of difficulties here!
Awesome gondola ride. Beautiful mountain range.....the Rockies are amazing.
Nice, large ski hill. A bit icy compared to BC ski hills, but the chairs and lodge are excellent.
Best in the west! Louise has terrain for everyone and fantastic snow.
There was no parking at Lake Louise at around 0945am. Drove across to the ski lift side and rode the gondola and saw a small black bear, no grizzly bears. Fantastic view of the mountains and could see Lake Louise in the distance
Beautiful scenery and lovely cable car ride. Easy parking.
First time here and it was great. Good place for blues and above
My favorite ski resort. Best spring conditions in yrs. Could never do all runs in a day. Good food all round. A laid back friendly resort.
We went here during the summer. I recommend this as a last-day event if you have crossed all your other sightseeing places off your list. The gondola was fun because we got to see grizzly bears, but it's very monitored and the bears are tagged, so you don't feel as it's as "in the wild" as when you see black bears on the side of the roads driving to Jasper.
Also, if you are going up to hike, ask prior where the grizzlies are, as they will close down the hiking trails if the grizzlies are on them. So, we felt we did not get our money's worth, as we got to do half of what we hoped to do (seeing the bears and not hike). You can get a new lift ticket, but you can't get a refund, so you can go back again and try the hike another time.
Best ski resort I've been to, though I haven't been to many. The runs were well maintained and the staff was nice. They also offered many different runs. Very little to no wait time at the chairlift/ gondolas.
Stunning place.. And the staff working at the location is awesome
Beautiful place to ski, snow board, bring the family and have fun adventures on the mountain sides. Great food. Great service. Friendly staff.
Have been coming to Louise my whole life and I love the hill. Minimal flat spots to get stuck on, great green/blue runs for just having a good time, challenging black diamond bowls, and fast chairlifts.
Ticket prices can be a little high but if you're going more than once recommend the ski Louise plus card which pays for itself after the first use ($114). Can buy these cards usually before Christmas and they give 1st, 4th, & 7th visit free and $20 off the other visits.
Food on the hill is great if a bit pricey. Recommend the back side cabin for lunch as it's usually a little quieter/smaller than the front.
For the hill itself, I recommend starting the day off moving to the backside as ski school groups don't often get back there/start right away. Can either go up the gondola to the top or take the two chairs (grizzly/top of the world). As the day goes on the front side will have warned up and although crowded, might have some softer snow that hasn't been scraped off.
It's tempting to drive to the door but the parking will cost you $20. Free parking in lot 3 is just a little down the road and actually comes back to the entrance putting you only a few further steps away. Save the money on parking and save it for lunch!
It is not perfection, but the right balance man and nature, to visit !!!!!
Its good resort for sking and boarding , but if you are boarder, recomend sunshine or norquay.
Great lodge. Can bring your own food and drinks and use microwaves to warm it up
Nice hill with good variety of runs. The back bowl tends to be quieter and have better conditions.
Lake Louise is beautiful. From the moment you arrive until the moment you leave. I have not ridden all the Banff area hills but it just felt a cut above the rest. Even the riding just had more to offer as far as terrain went. The staff was friendly and very helpful to new arrivals to the hill. They even had self serve ticket sales which sped up that process tremendously! I'd go back in a heart beat. If I could give an extra star I would
I love to snowboard at Lake Louise. There is so many great runs and areas on the mountain. It is a more superior mountain than Sunshine and worth the drive. The view is fantastic on a clear day and you can always find powder stashes even if it hasn't snowed in a few days. Can't wait to go back again this weekend.
I usually don't ski at LL, and it has been probably 15 years since I was there to ski, but went out on a weekend after some fresh snow. I can't really review the conditions, but the parking had a huge lot, even though it was packed with people I found a spot. The lift ticket was a little pricey but had no line to purchase, I rented some gear and got it quick and easy. The mountain is stunning with amazing views of the valley and mount temple.
I recommend going during the week, but that is the same rec for any ski hill. Had a fantastic day despite the crowds.
Staff were all friendly and smiling.
All about the pow. And they got dumped on. What a blast
One of the best ski resorts in the world, pricing around $100 a day.
The pouched salmon quinoa is absolutely an incredible dish - served with a view of the mountains!
This place is pretty awesome. Great mountain. Lots of glades and lots of powder! It could use some more large cabins on the mountain.
Wow an amazing experience for snow tubing, skiing, sightseeing and gondola ride.
We did winter activities and it was best.
This resort cuts down endangered Canadian species and has the gall to complain about how expensive their punishment fine is.
Every lift takes you to a run that doesn't require you to be an expert to ski back to base.
As an explorer, here's my spin...
Its been a long time since i've been back here. The back bowls is where you want to hang out where it is natural snow. There are priority parking $ if you don't want to walk far from main lodge.
Outstanding place to ski. A few hints try to rent skies in Banff ( way cheaper and you will safe some time). Remember that you may get tickets in Costco for much cheaper price. Plan to be there early.
It's Lake Louise, what can I say. Big hill, snow, lots of terrain, amazing views.
You can also enjoy the beautiful scenery in summer gondola.
You can see why Lake Louise is said to be a Rocky gem.
Awesome ski resort. Good terrain, friendly staff, and nice facilities. Restaurant is pricey, but the food and service is good.
Great ski resort with lots of runs for all abilities, nice option of lodges to eat at or simply sit and take a breather with lots of amazing views.
Definitely get the breakfast buffet + gondola ride package! Highly recommended!
Awesome place we go again and again. Started our youngest at four years old. Long runs. Well marked wonderful staff
Loved the skiing, awesome experience. Variety of trails and view is picturesque and mesmerizing
Acreage for days! If open spaces and wide open bowls are your thing, this place is for you. Great views are just icing on the cake!
The beautiful ski areas in the winter and fantastic areas for hiking outside this season. Unbelievable, breathtaking views are available all year round. But could it be different in the picturesque Rocky Mountains? I doubt it.

Outstanding experience from the complimentary shuttle from Banff to the huge ski domain loaded with fresh snow, the nice lodges for lunch, and virtually no wait in lines for the lifts. 5*
If you know how to make the best of it, you will find the tickets worth it. I didn't do much as I reached there late (without proper gear). The peak, where the cable car takes you is super-high. A lot of routes to ski down or snowboard down!! Safety is taken care of. They put soft spongy thing in front of pillars/trees where there is a chance for people to crash!! Food and other services are good too!!
The back bowls are where the action is. Wonderful winter playground.
Awesome conditions today! Caught the last bit of fresh powder.
Beautiful highly encourage everyone to take in what Lake Louise has to offer.
Great skiing and great food. Never feels too over crowded.
Nice long runs. Can be icy so plan to go only after some recent snow. Crowded in the lodge with no places to sit at lunch. Gondola is tiny. Service is friendly.
Large and beautiful ski resort. Very popular among local and tourists, probably one of the best ski resort in Canada.
Lovely time and beautiful views from the ski lift and restaurant
Had a wonderful time and experience during our stay. Top notch facilities and staff. We will be coming back @JPLtravel
If you ever ski anywhere ski here at least once. Some of the best skiing scenery on the planet!!!
